    I imagine Dain confessed a truth the Abyss sibling didn't know about a decision he made, or order he chose not to give, to save Khaenri'ah that he never told her about because he knew she'd disapprove. Kaeya and Diluc got along until Kaeya revealed something, too. Dain's split with the Abyss Twin never seemed mysterious to me.

    I'd bet that Dainsleif found out about the Loom of Fate and destroyed it, whatever it is. This way, they couldn't rewrite History and "the Homeland" couldn't be restored. This is how Dain failed to protect Khaenri'ah, he destroyed the only thing that could undo its destruction. And now the sibling has been spending the last few decades trying to contact the voice in the crystal again (hence the inverted statue) so that he could provide them his blessing once more, as to create another Loom of Fate as Caribert once was. And, finally, their homeland could be restored.
    Either that, or the ring he was holding when he came to Teyvat was stolen, and that was Khaenri'ah's only hope against the Heavenly Principles. Without it, Khaenri'ah fell. Then, the sibling only found out he was the one who stole it much later.

      not much is known about the ring but Ive often heard it called "The Ring of Nibelung" based on the opera of the same. In the story the ring brings death to whoever has it@@Discarded_Uzi

    • @SirZelean
      @SirZelean 8 месяцев назад +16

      @@Discarded_Uzi All we know in-game is that Zurvan claims to have seen Dainsleif leaving Khaenri'ah holding a ring tight in his hand, accompanied by a scholar with one arm. She said that at the very end of the Pari questline.
      As Dawit said, many people have started speculating about this ring. "The Ring of Nibelung" is a story in which Alberich, a dwarf, forged a magical ring that grants the power to rule over the world, made from the gold he stole from the Rhinemaidens. This opera is pretty huge, but sufice to say, the ring was stolen at one point.
      I think you can see why people are theorizing on this ring. Nibelung, which is a people in the opera, is Genshin's Dragon King. Alberich is Khaenri'ah's regent family. The alchemist Rhinedottir, AKA Gold, is obviously also a reference to the Rhinemaidens and their rhinegold. Now Dainsleif runs from Khaenri'ah holding a ring, which was stolen in the opera. There are a lot of similarities here, and they go much deeper than I can explain.
      As a small extra detail, do you remember when we meet Halfdan for the first time in the Chasm and Dainsleif questions to himself how his friend can retain a shard of consciousness if he doesn't have "it"? I believe this "it" is the ring, which is what is keeping Dainsleif sane and healthy, to a point, despite his curse. And this ring probably also has a curse of its own, as in the opera as Dawit mentioned, which is what is causing Dain's weird blue/black curse creeping up his arm all the way to his face.

    Dain definitely had a thing for Lumine, like just the way he talks about her constantly and his lines in the teyvat chapter storyline where he says “Show that you are worthier than i to rescue her” when we are LITERALLY her sibling, and him saying “I will always remember how much she too loved these flowers” sounds so suspicious. He has a ring that is named Der Nibelungen. Need I say more? He has tasked the traveller to find the first field tiller, to mend the ring? What if Dainsleif stole that ring from Nibelung and that unleashed the confict in the first place, what if Lumine found out about this during her journey with him. Don't you find it strange that he just shows up in Sumeru happens to know were Caribert mother is buried and takes the traveller there. It was to find out what Lumine saw in her memory through the traveller. Whatever intention Dainsleif has is not good he basically agrees with Celestia now, he understands that immortality is not a blessing its a curse and if he could he would like to be born in Theyvat like everyone else. At the very start of the game Dainsleif ask's questions to find out how similar the traveller is to her/his sibling.
    Before Halfdan dies, Dainsleif says he could not survive without "it" now that is exactly what Skirk says about Childe, and that cannot be a coincidence. It cannot be the ring, because Childe has no ring, it must be some connection with the star beasts. It should mean that Dainsleif has another form.

    There some more interesting things about the Abyss Sibling:
    1) Scaramouche mentions that the Sibling's first destination was Khaenri'ah and that they only came to this world because "the heavens responded to the summoning."
    2) Scaramouche also mentions how he got this information from The Jester (Pierro), and that it's trustworthy because Pierro was a Royal Mage in Khaenri'ah who also lived with the Sibling for a time.
    3) Chlothar specifically refers to the Sibling as "Prince/Princess of Khaenri'ah" meaning that they were already the Prince/Princess of Khaenri'ah before the Cataclysm. And if we consider this, it does makes sense that Dainsleif of all people would travel alongside them. So it also just wouldn't make sense if the Abyss Sibling didn't know anything about Dainsleif. The Abyss Sibling most likely said what they said about Dainsleif so that we would be suspicious of him and so that we wouldn't completely trust him. It is extremely likely that Dainsleif or the Abyss Sibling did something that went against the other's wishes to the point where Dainsleif's Chinese Character Card says: "Dain, what is that strand of blonde hair to you? Someone you must kill? Or the object of your penitence?"

Nobody lays these unrealistic expectations on someone had they not thought they were capable, that doesn’t make sense. Aside from that, Dainsleif has no affiliations nor association to anyone or anything besides Khanri’ah and it’s people, as the captain of the royal guards I’m sure he would’ve proudly laid down his life for the kingdom. Seeing as he’s alive and the abyss sibling has a distaste for what occurred during the cataclysm regarding him, I’m sure there’s a third figure pulling Dains strings. And a story yet to be told.

    Tbh I think that Dain might have been passing information to Celestia, or went and knarked on Khanri’ah which lead to its destruction. His actions were probably justified as he disagreed with the Eclipse Dynasty actions, and felt that they were putting the world at risk. The way she has such vitriolic reactions to Dain, makes me think that Dain betrayed Khanri’ah, thinking that Celestia would have mercy upon on them, (maybe Celestia told him they would) and then destroyed and cursed everyone. It would explain why Dain tells Aether not to trust the Gods, and why he keeps a close eye on their actions, and why Lumine hates him so much. I also think that Dain betrayed Lumine, and them finding their fate, was Dain helping Celestia tie Lumine’s fate to Irminsil, being unable to leave Teyvat, and unable to move throughout Teyvat without being tracked and traced by irminsil. Also Dain doesn’t seem very concerned with overturning the fate of the innocent people of Khanri’ah that got cursed, he is more concerned with preventing his former companion and former countrymen from defying fate and overturning Celestia’s actions. Since Lumine is now tied to Teyvat, she has to find a way to overturn her fate and to help the people of Khanri’ah in order to be able to leave someday. Her traveling with and through the Abyss, keeps Irminsil from tracking her, the same way Skirk stays in the abyss. Anyhow especially after the animated short and how cold Dain was towards Lumine, makes me think he lead her into a trap, where she learned who he really was and probably wrecked him, and left with the Abyss.

    Call me crazy but Dain voice the showcase for new characters (you know when a new character is out they have a demo then a showcase to understand their kit) he is a part of a "dead" civilisation, he saw a part of Teyvat's history that we don't know (even in books), he knows about the archons and how to play whit urmansul. Yeah a lot, so whit this he knows things so whit this he is one of the characters we should not play whit, Dain know maybe even much than Neuvillette and knowing Neuvillette is a full on elemental dragon he knows that Lumine is "lost" in "madness" (from his eyes)... Lumine is maybe dead for all we know and the Samsarha we are in is just putting Lumine last spirit and memories into a (maybe) full body recreation of what Lumine would do of she wasn't dead and her "spirit" is somewere in Teyvat or maybe outside Genshin's universe...

    When Lumine and Aether were “heavenly summoned” by whoever, somehow Lumine ended up in Khaenri’ah and Aether slept for 500 years. Remember Scaramouche prior to going into Irminsul to become the Wanderer, told Lumine the Jester told him, she lived with the Jester prior to the fall of Khaenri’ah. This would have been when the Jester was still a Madge in the royal court, before he became head of the Fatui and prior to the 500 year mark when Khaenri’ah fell. How many years did she live with the Jester? One month? 50 years? 300 years? Teyvat’s timeline is so wonky! Dainslief is pure Khaenri’ahns. After the fall of Khaenri’ah he became the Boughkeeper with access to Irminsul. I believe he is the one who changed the history regarding the Travelers. I’m not sure why, but I also wonder if he could be undercover to the Fatui as the 10(?) Harbinger. He and the Jester would definitely have known each and maybe even grew up together. Clothar tells the Traveler they were the ultimate hope of the Khaenri’ahns, so even he might have Known Lumine was in Khaenri’ah. Lumine and Dainslief traveled together knowing who each other was. It was Dainslief’s task to make sure she was journeying specifically to the Abyss. He used the changes in Irminsul to manipulate and control her mind to do what the Jester and Tsaritsa’s plans directed him to do. Each time Dainslief’s has showed up around Lumine, she falls out, goes unconscious or passes out. He then runs to check Irminsul. When he comes back he wakes her, interrogates her, then runs off with the Intel on her dream or vision to…the Jester? I have never liked the character Dainslief from the beginning of the game. He is soooo sneaky and really doesn’t seem to care for Lumine accept for her utility to the Jester. I also believe as time went on Lumine began to feel his spells and magics and realize she was being used. This is why she dislikes him so.

      Sounds like a crack theory but the more you think about it the more it makes sense, like how he talked about "The Power from Beyond" and how he's willing to fight the traveler at the end

    I still cannot shake the feeling that dain and the sustainer are the traveler and the twin from a past samsara cycle
    Somehow, I think it could work and idk why it still does not leave my mind

    I bet Dain leaned in and whispered 'I could have 1 v 9'd the gods but i chose not to' thats the only viable reason i can see why the sibling hates him so much. 😂😂😂😂 this is a joke btw

    I personally theorize that dain told the gods what was happening. If the gods know that kheanriah was messing with forbidden knowledge then why didn’t they stop kheanriah before they almost destroyed the world? This is why I believe he told the gods that kheanriah was messing with forbidden knowledge and caused the cataclysm. The travelers sibling learned of this and decided he was the bad guy even tho if this is true he technically saved the world.

    Can you please do a video about trees in Genshin and how many types of special trees are there in Genshin?
    I don't understand if there is a Tree in the centre of the Universe or a Tree in the centre of the galaxy.

    • @kotarouinugami1745
      @kotarouinugami1745 8 месяцев назад +2

      In Genshin, there are 4 trees that are more than just oversized plants.
      Irminsul is a tree-like existence that stores knowledge from Teyvat and gives it to us when we complete a domain or a ley line blossom. And Nahida is its sysadmin.
      Frostbearing Tree is a tree in Dragonspine that you feed with those blood crystals. Apparently, the previous tree in Dragonspine knew too much.
      Sacred Sakura is a fox-shaped tree that grew retroactively and that takes our Electro sigils.
      And Tree of Dreams is a giant turnip in the home of Aranaras that takes our Dendro Sigils.
      When people talk about trees that are larger than worlds, that's Honkai Impact crossovers. They have some Imaginary Tree, which has worlds growing like fruit on its branches. Unless you feel Genshin Impact is too easy to understand and you want to take up another game like that, I don't recommend you trying to make sense of it.

    What confuses me the most is that Dainsleif was cursed to become immortal to watch the people he failed to protect turn into Monsters of the Abyss. Like, why would Celestia be so angry at full-blooded Khaenri'ahns for that? Sounds like a very patriotic person did it, instead of Celestia

      @@DawitsLookingforEmilia What I don't get is the fact that Lumine specifically says this about Dain, instead of every pure blooded Khaenri'ahn. Isn't it weird that she worded it like this, specifically?
