I don’t really understand Khaneriah’s stand. Like, I can understand if they didnt want to be ruled and controlled by Celestia…But the use of abyssal power to fight them would end up as it had always done: a catastrophe…And to destroy the shackles of the world would straight up cause an apocalypse…So why would they even want to do that? Maybe they thought they would be able to control abyssal power completely? Maybe that’s what Chlotare meant with our sibling representing hope to them? But what would they do after that? It seems like Teyvat does need figures like the dragons (or Celestia, as of now) so what were they going to do after winning? Idk, I’m just confused at this point.
And what confuses me the most is that Dain made it seem like the archons went to Khaenriah and destroyed it just because they felt like it…But now we know that some of them even sacrificed themselves to stop the cataclysm? Dain wtf🥲 Maybe he sees them as Celestia’s minions and doesn’t care abt the details?
I need a Dain quest to answer me some questions, even if I end up with more.

One of my biggest problems is there seemingly will be plot holes in nearly any story yeah they could probably be explained but as of how it's going right now. We don't know what faction runs Celestia there is alot we just don't know maybe Celestia was stolen by the second who came? Because the aliens who seem to be behing the creation of humans the ones who aid them I don't think who ever did that is a villian really. They didn't kill all the Soverigns and even allow descendants of Soverigns to be born instead of putting them in captivity who has done wrong?

Khaenriah was bothered by the shackles imposed on them by celestias laws, according to nahida its these same "laws" that caused the archon war, that she thought was pointless. no one seems happy with the laws celestia has setup, but because we dont really know them we cant yet say if their arbitrary or necessary.

@@DawitsLookingforEmilia Yeah, that’s the part I do understand(? Because the heavenly principles (or whatever is in Celestia) have some…questionable laws, and sometimes they straight up seem not to care about the consequences of what they do(?
But as humans, what would Khaenriah achieve by defeating them? What would they do after?Didn’t the book say that that type of war almost destroyed the world? It seems waaay too risky for me😩
I wonder what was really the point of the archon war, though.
If it was to decide who were going to get the authority over each element…I feel like a war wasn’t necessary at all xD

@@SUS-vu6nh that’s a good point. Didnt Neuvillette say something about that in one of his voicelines? Abt the usurper getting really hurt after the war and stuff? They could be incapacitated for all we know🤔
I also wonder why they didn’t kill the khaenriahns 🥴 if it was some kind of punishment, I get it, but that could easily become a problem (as we see now, with khaenriahns creating the abyss order)

Tinfoilhat theory: What if Khaenri'ah learned that Heavenly Principle is a Descendant and decided "Fuck you, Celestia, we want to have our own Descendant as a ruler!" and somehow summoned twins. That pissed Celestia (and the First Descendant) off or they were afraid that the new Descendant would pose a problem so they destroyed Khaenri'ah and sealed the twins. That's why Sustainer is so hostile towards them and talks about humankind's arrogance 🤔And that's why Abyss Twin is considered a Prince or Princess, they're not a Descendant, but the Traveler is and the Traveler's lore heavily implies them becoming a god (and basically Khaenri'ah possible King/Queen).

I'd like to add few things to this theory, khaenria'h was fighting the abyss/abyssal monsters using ruined machines to avoid corruption of their people, they tried to get the nail from dragonspine to "cleanse" the abyssal power from their homeland, but unfortunately the robots that were sent there got destroyed(decoded msg:"For the nation, we can't forgo this skyborne power, but we failed."), so after failing to get the nail they probably used "power from beyond" to *summon* forth a descender (ie the twin) to help them defeat those monsters, but unfortunately it was too late and the monster broke through and spilled off on teyvat which caused celestia to nuke them and then curse them for there use of "power from beyond" and inviting an unwanted guests....

You do realize that the idea that Nibelung is the second descender is a theory and also the idea that the abyss order serves Nibelung is a theory. Pro tip when you yourself admit that a theory doesnt make sense you should stop believing in it.
Can people please stop saying the second is Nibelung it makes no sense and everybody knows it they are just clinging to the only name they know that fought PO before and making convoluted ways he could _technically_ be a descender. Its so frustrating it obviously doesn't work.
As for the abyss following Nibelung, I can only assume that you mean the sinner is Nibelung because that is who/what the abyss order is canonically explicitly rallying around and that also doesnt makes sense as Nibelung, or Deshret for that matter, but people wanna make everyone the same person. What does Nibelung have to do with the end of time , how is he able to cure Celestias curse whilst being weak enough to have lost to them twice and presumably be in a weakened possibly sealed state we dont even know if Nibelung isnt just the name of the dendro dragon sovereign which fits better with established lore than being the king of all dragons.
Ugh, I'm ranting its just frustrating when people make up stuff and then hold the characters to account for things that are most likely incorrect even by said players own logic.

The biggest being he left Teyvat before the Primordial One changed everything and came back after the concept of fate had been changed and the PO and his shades had pretty much taken over. Pierro made that comment about the “Old World” in A Winter Nights Lazzo, you can see where I’m going. I’m not gonna debate this with someone who doesn’t agree with it tho. Expanding on what Nahida said, I assume Celestia has periods of time where they slumber. Much like Venti falling into long slumbers.
Venti woke up due to hearing the prayers of his people during the cataclysm, so what could wake up celestia? Breaking the laws set by them?
It wouldn’t be too far fetched to assume that creating/mimicking human life may anger Celestia. I mean, Egeria (who was supposedly created by the Shade of Life) got punished for mimicking human life. Khaenriah got destroyed for it.
    This is kinda reinforces through:
"If one dares to imitate the forbidden arts, only calamity awaits at the edge of divine knowledge." (Scroll of streaming songs)
The speech was delivered by Rukkhedevata, in response to Nabu Malikatas ‘riddles’. The long context of this quote was Rukkhedevata explaining the “universal law of the heaven” and how it “governs all”.
The ‘forbidden art’ most likely refers to the Art of Khemia.
Another thought I’ve had is what Nicole stated. Something like “even the gods have blind spots.” Khaenriah was a nation with no gods, no rulers and was located deep beneath Sumeru. These are all spots which “the gods gaze do not fall.”

I'm guessing that Celestia never really explained why the laws of the world exist. They probably go and think they can keep things in check with their power and will never be overthrown. But in the end, the Traveler will overthrow them and establish new laws while making the reasons clear. They will also likely be much more fair for those who violate them and stop potential threats before they get too big to ignore. Also they would likely refresh people on the reasons for the laws existing on a regular basis.

The story still makes very little sense. Clothar says that they thought the sibling was the Abyss. But they knew by then that Celestia were aliens coming from outside of this world. They also knew that Theyvat and the Abyss is linked so I am not quite sure it is counted as outside, it is a part of Theyvat. I am fairly certain that the Abyss was the original heaven and by removing "corruption" Theyvat get's sicker. What is extremely unclear is IF Khaenri'ah had proof that Celestia were Aliens why did they think the sibling was the Abyss. It doesn't really make sense, and don't think we have the full story yet.

    • @DawitsLookingforEmilia
      @DawitsLookingforEmilia  9 месяцев назад +4

Well theres two possible answers to this, but ultiamtely we dont know yet,
      1. If hilichurls arise SOLEY, as a result of being cursed by celestia, then that means there were more people turned into hilichurls from a nation we dont know about yet. This could be very possible given Khaen'riah was far from being the first nation to piss of celestia.
      2. Hilichurls are naturally occurring in teyvat, and celestia merely chose to add to its numbers by cursing people. Something similar happened here with the abyss order, where the abyss had already had heralds and such, but as the travelers sibiling noted "dainsleif did nothing while people (khaenriahns) were being turned into monsters of the abyss". Due to the fact that abyss heralds at the very least, predate the abyss order, we know that are "naturally" occuring.

Celestia is a dictatorship. Celestia does not have a Prime Directive this isn't Starfleet. There is no parental guidance or empathy towards human curiosity. Instead Tehvat has become a prison. A prison whose sovereign is actually an alien being that came to be worshipped due to the difference in knowledge and power. And when Celestia chose to use that power could be said to be morally questionable. As such regardless if Celestia is God or Alien is rather moot. Many would rather die free then live as slaves. While on the topic of psychology it should be discussed what impact Celestia and its isolation from those below entails. Such a state of being is prone to elitist and thinking in absolutes when empty of a shared dialog. It is a wonder all the mortals of Tehvat do not feel discouraged from powerlessness much like those without Visions. Is it any real wonder rebels would rise up against such an empire? Alas let me borrow the words from yet another franchise, "Life finds a way" as such this little Jurassic Park is about to have a monumental change in its so called pre-determined Fate. In fact, had it not been for Fated intervention of the Traveler the following upheavals would have already ocurred:
Dvalin would have been fully corrupted raizing Monstadt to the ground. Liyue would have endured cataclysmic damage from Osial's reawakening not to mention Azhdaha or Osial's mate. Inazuma would have stayed in isolation as its citizens killed one another with Delusions after Visions were stolen from them. Sumeru would have forever been altered by a new mechanical God. As for Fontaine I'm uncertain if the absence of the Traveler would have changed its Fate really at all. Perhaps they would have just reverted to being Oceanids or been swallowed by the Leviathan. Perhaps the seals on Watatsumi island, the desert of Sumeru and the Chasm all would have failed as the Abyssal energy surged towards the surface. In many other ways the world of Tehvat is already crumbling.

@@your_waifu_hates_you an interesting observation. I surmised the Eastern approach was similar to the Nordic traditions where God's walked amongst the mortals as a means of enjoyment and meddling in human affairs at times even to test our convictions. It was my understanding that in general the killing of a God was to show that the sin of arrogance and narcissistic thinking would inevitably rob one eventually of everything even the life and power of an immortal being. That ruling via absolute tyranny planted the very seeds of one's own destruction. As such my interpretation is prone to such bias.

Overall, a number of events described in this video make me wonder - was Celestia / Heavenly Principles / Sustainer even involved in them?
For example, Fontainians. Their nature was not a curse, but a flaw in their creation. A flaw easily fixable by a Dragon Sovereign, and probably not too difficult for the Shade of Life to fix. But what if there was nobody with the necessary knowledge available? And Celestia did not respond to Egeria's prayers, because there was nobody who could respond to them?
Yes, I am proposing that like the moon, island of Celestia is just a dead rock. Or maybe inhabited by somebody who is clearly not up to the task. "A pheasant sitting on a throne of god", as somebody has said.
Even the place Sustainer lives seems to be a different place.
Since the Divine Nails fell down, there is only one event that clearly shows somebody from above involved - we see Sustainer's cubes in destroyed Kaenri'ah. And the curse people of Kaenri'ah suffer is probably something only Shade of Life or Shade of Death could pull off. Probably Shade of Death, since they can't even be killed in battle.
And the Divine Nails themselves - were they really thrown due to some flaw of humans who lived there? I doubt it. It was probably done by whoever won the war when Second Who Came appeared to control the aftermath. Maybe to get rid of people who knew the world before, or to contain Forbidden Knowledge which contaminated major population centers in the fight.

For an extreme viewpoint, I'm wondering - what if Kaenri'ans immortality is not the result of supernatural involvement? What if it is a result of alchemical experiment of obtaining immortality gone horribly right?
Which pretty much resulted in a zombie apocalypse situation, as people were turning into Hilichurls and causing chaos, eventually releasing Gold's petting zoo and spreading through Teyvat with their powers.
