Jullie hadden een goed nummer dit jaar, helaas niet 'mainstream' genoeg voor de winst.
Als Nederlander ontzettend fan van Sandra Kim! Een van de meest bijzondere winnaars van Eurovisie!
Het dichtste dat België nog zat met een ongelijke winst was in 2003. 😳
Toen stonden ze 2de.
Vanaf toen meestal tussen de 6de & 8ste plaatst. Ik herinner me zelfs eens een voorlaatste plaats 😂

It's sad that so many people made negative comments about Helena's body and bodyshaming should stop some time. For God's sake, don't judge a book by its cover. She is so talented and such a beautiful woman. Even though so many years have passed since 2005, that performance gave me the same chills as then! Thank you Helena, you will always be our number 1!💙🇬🇷🌟
Most of those people are just jealous of her. I bet half the people bashing her are fatter than a whale themselves. I am amazed on her voice barely changed in 16 years and she still has the moves. A lot of singers would have hung it up by now. Also interesting to think that her 2005 dancers are likely in their late 30s early 40s now. The dancers she had here were only under 12 when she won it.

This might have been my favourite part of this edition of Eurovision: Rotterdam looks so freaking amazing, together with the good music, great music shows, fire and film shots!
(from a dutch person) roterdam is actually not verry interesting, unless you like big gray citys. overijsel (twente) of gelderland (de achterhoek) is way more beutifull (nature)
@@jay38869 Thanks for your reaction. (from a Dutch person as well) I've lived there all my life (and still) and couldn't disagree more about Rotterdam. Overijssel and Gelderland beautiful because of the nature, I agree! Also, comparing Rotterdam and nature is like apples and pears. But Rotterdam is one of its kind, with many hidden gems (I wrote an article about that even and give people walking/cycle tours around the city for fun sometimes). Lots of these gems are very well known by locals, btw. Yes, still quite some grey buildings. Most of them are being renovated now. After WWII the city needed houses and buildings quick, without having money. This didn't go hand in hand with beauty, that is true. Some of them are still hideous. For a long time, and still maybe even, Rotterdam was the poorest city in the Netherlands. The last 10 years, the city has more money and is working very hard on removing the grey, to make space for high-class architecture. By renovating and building new buildings, parks, unique innovations, adding hundreds of street-art murals on grey walls and other projects. Look into the current and future projects on, for example, RTMXL (website/fb - I am not related to that), so you can see what new is happening in the city. It is thriving! :)
I totally agree. I loved the whole show in Rotterdam. It was from one amazing performance into the next. Also Devina Michelle, the show on the bridge. The 2019 just kept on giving! And so many amazing performances from so many countries. A lot could have taken the win, Italy had a killer song and performance but I wouldn't have been surprised if France, Switzerland, Ukrain or Iceland would have won. Even the songs that were considered the worst (for example 'I don't feel hate' from Germany) I liked a lot
@@jay38869 If you think Rotterdam is grey, you know nothing about Rotterdam. It is one of the more vibrant big cities in Europe.

Voor ESF waren deze rooftop optredens erg leuk, en voor iedereen wel wat herkenbaars. Zowel oude als nieuwere nummers. Nooit verwacht dat Teach In met volledige bezetting daar zou staan en dat Lordi ook een gastoptreden zou verzorgen.
Leuk feitje, als het vorig jaar doorging zouden Gigliola Cinquetti (Italy 1964), Paul Harrington & Charlie McGettigan (Ireland 1994) en Alexander Rybak (Norway 2009) hebben opgetreden inplaats van Helena Paparizou, Lordi en Måns Zelmerlöw
Sandra Kim is one of the best vocal artist in Belgium. Hopefully we see her again in Eurovision.. 🇧🇪❤️🇧🇪

What a great interval act! Thanks Avrotros, Rotterdam and the Netherlands for giving us this! Modern, cool, warm, a bit sentimental, fresh, beautifully staged, great camera work, lights and graphic. Very tasteful! And wonderful that you mixed some of your local Eurovision heroes with some international ones. We all felt as parts of this!

Greece’s 🇬🇷 “My Number One”🎶 with always FABULOUS Helena Paparizou, the ESC 2005 winner in Kyiv. Her same song was voted the 5th best ever Eurovision song in the ‘50 Years of Eurovision Celebration’ show.👏 She looked and sounded FABULOUS then, too.
She also won votes for Greece 🇬🇷 and placed 3rd, in 2001, with “Die For You” 🎶 as part of Antique (duo)... and that was just her FIRST try!👏
Like I said talented Helena is always FABULOUS - she is the most beautiful and hottest woman to have graced the Eurovision stage -and even on this rooftop so many years later! Change my mind.
