I think Turkey is the smartest country ever. They saw that their entries were not appreciated from the juries and they took the right decision to leave the competition. As a Greek, I miss Turkey from Eurovision but I think that we have to do the same as a country.
Seriously tho, whose idea it was to make it a jury job to decide who won or not. It was the thrill of the contest to stay in front of the tv and see who the other countries voted along with experiencing brilliant new artists and songs
I agree. Zari was my favorite song this year. It was an absolute banger and deserved to win but it got the 11th place, i was so surprised, but as a Turk i miss the atmospehere of Eurovision a lot. Plus if Greece weren't in the contest i wouldn't even know about this wonderful song, maybe there wouldn't even be such a song. That's why participating is never a mistake and leaving the contest is a terrible idea.
@@aytacdenizacar7703I completely understand your point, and I couldn't agree more. Lately, it's disheartening to see countries from Northern Europe dominating the odds, especially since their songs often feel mainstream and mediocre to me (my personal opinion, though). What's more frustrating is the influence of juries, seemingly penalizing countries favored by viewers. Take Greece, for instance, which could have landed in the 8th position out of 25, but due to jury decisions, it ended up in 11th place. And don't even get me started on Croatia, which topped the televoting but ended up in second place due to the juries. It's a real letdown. Croatia was not my Bon Appétit to be honest, France was, but televoting made its decision. Those people spend money to vote, it's so sad that every year the winner is made up by the jury. Under those circumstances, I really don't know if it's worth it to send artists to the competition. And it's not about the win. It's about transparency. Anyway, I hope to see Turkey at Eurovision again! It would add so much more fun and nostalgia to the competition 😊
@sezginer2510 Thank you for your kind words! In Greece, feelings about Zari are mixed. Some love it, while others are purely hating it 😂 Personally, I didn't expect it to reach the top 3, but I hoped for a decent 5th or 6th place. Still, she's one of those artists who could've really boosted Greece's Eurovision standing. If she couldn't do it, I'm not sure if anyone else can do it in the future 🥺

I think that all eurofans have been very excited to see a Turkish representative again on stage. For just 2 minutes we felt as if Turkey was still at Eurovision. Very happy to see that Eurovision has not forgotten Turkey's passing and remembers it with its victory in 2003.
I love the Greek-Turkish love and unity in this comment section 🇬🇷🇹🇷

Sertab Erener - Every Way That I Can... That was the first Eurovision I watched in my life! And since now, the only Eurovision when my favourite song was the winner. I cried singing. Thank you, Sertab!

Amazing to see Helena & Sertab. 🎉 Having Ruslana instead of Charlotte would've completed this show.

No matter what you say about Turkey. EVERY time they’ve participated to Eurovision since 2000´s. They’ve always fucking been in the top! Turkey is one strong country in Eurovision !!!
Sertab and Helena are the winners with the most beautiful songs in Eurovision of the 00's. Both with amazing stage presence.
In the press conference after this broadcast, representative of Greece Marina said a very uniting quote. "The culture of our region (Balkans-Anatolia-Middle East) is so much older than our country borders." I love seeing these countries sharing their culture together.
Love from Turkey❤

I was watching the semi final together with my mom and I was thinking about how long I already watch the ESC. And I said to my mom that my first conscious memory is Turkey's Victory in 2003. And only a few moments later Sertab appeared on the screen! This made me so happy 🥰

I first watched Eurovision when Sertab 🇹🇷 won. And we were invited to partake for the first time in Eurovision by Greece 🇬🇷 in Athens Perelli 🇸🇪 was my fav in 2008. So, this is such a special trio for me. Nostalgie, peace feeling that im missing 😢Love to all from Armenia 🇦🇲
It would add so much more fun and nostalgia to the competition 😊
as a turk I really desired zari to be at least on top 3 and the results are really disappointment. she exactly didn’t deserve it. what a bad jury
These 3 Divas literally saved the show 👑
Helena and Sertab's hugging made me cry🥹
