I’m so glad I saw your tutorial on the pinch tool because I saw another person that used it and the seams did NOT come out much different than when doing it by hand so I figured it was a waste of money. Then I saw your tutorial and results and I figured it was user error on the first tutorial. I think I will get one. Thank you for sharing! 👍
I love it! As I said in the video, I use it a little differently than the directions, but when you use it, it gets that paper down flat and tight against the tumbler! Thanks for watching!
This Pinch Perfect changed my world!! I absolutely love it! Where did you get your matte tumblers for subbing. The suppliers I've used don't seem to have matte.
Isn’t the PP great?! I get all my tumblers from this supplier. The matte tumblers are usually between $105 and $115 for 25 ($4.20 to $4.60 ea.). I’ve gotten thousands from this supplier! www.locustsub.com/?parent_user_id=14051924& Thanks for watching!
Hey! I currently use a Heat Press Nation Signature Series and love it! I’ve had it two years. That said, I’m wrapping up a video now about a new tumbler press (by Eenour) unboxing and first impressions. It should be out in about 2-1/2 weeks. Spoiler alert, it blew me away! So if you’re thinking about getting g a tumbler press, definitely wait until you see that unboxing! Thanks for watching!
As usual, very interesting and thorough video. I have a couple questions for you. Why do you rotate your tumbler so often. I used a toaster oven and shrink wrap and zi do no turning at all. 2nd question is why unwrap your tumbler while still hot? I ask because I let mine cool down for about half hour and thus far no problems. I will admit to only doing 12, thus far
Thank you! First question answered. When I first started, I was concerned that the area around the opening may not get enough heat and wanted to more evenly distribute the heat. It could be partial habit by now! Second question. I hate trying to peel tape when it’s cooled down, so I peel the tape as soon as it comes out of the press but don’t remove the paper for a couple of minutes (the time it takes another tumbler to cook). I’ve found doing it this way gets the tap off easily, and leaving the paper on a minute or two cools the tumbler enough that I don’t have to worry about ghosting. Thanks for watching !
Unrelated but I remember you used a heavy duty thread under the shrink wrap to help remove it when the tumbler is done. What kind of thread was that again?
You know, now that you mention it, I do remember a conversation or two about that, but I personally have only used one long strip of heat tape under the shrink wrap to help pull it off. Thanks for watching!
Hey! This take the paper and puts it tight against the tumbler. Blacks are tricky due to several variables. The paper must be tight against the substrate (this does that), and the time, temp and pressure must be exact. Blacks are pretty much the same as all colors, they’re just pickier! So once you dial in the time/temp/pressure for blacks, you’ve more than likely got the perfect time/temp/pressure for all colors! Thanks for watching!
I’m not sure,as I don’t sell them. My suggestion would be to reach out to the owners of Pinch Perfect and see if they can ship to you. Thanks for watching!
You know, that’s a great question! Maybe?! Since I still tape the edges of my tumblers, I’ll continue to tape the seam. (I’ve tried not taping the edges with zero luck! Some people can get away with it. I am not one of those people!) Thanks for watching!
I love using this for my tumblers. This works great with an 11oz and 15oz coffee mug too. I feel good that my paper is snug and secure while putting on my tape. I wish they would come out with the smaller diameter tumblers/glasses
I purchased mine as soon as i saw someone post about on the facebook page and it is amazing it has eliminated almost all of my ghosting (minus the slight user errors when taping)
Thanks so much for your video, I really enjoyed it. I have fibromyalgia & thought this would help me so much in preparation for my first ever upcoming fair in November but sadly, they don't ship to the UK. I contacted them directly & have tried via the Etsy link but, no posting to the UK. Such a shame as I really believe this would have helped me so much. Thank you for posting about it though. Best wishes Anita x
Thank you thank you so much for doing this on Pinch Perfect tool. I had seen this tool and start to purchase but wasn’t sure if it would work but after seeing your expertise on this I have no doubt that it will work. You are awesome with your teaching thank you sir have a blessed day 😊
You make it look so easy! I cannot wait to try mine. My tops and bottoms come out great, I have issues every now and then with the seam. I'm hoping this will solve those problems. Thank you so much for ALL of your videos you have helped me tremendously.
Have you tried it the way I use it by just using it to tighten the middle? Get that middle flat and tight, then just let the paper lay flat. And I suggest trying my edge taping method. It (almost!) never gives me any issues! ruclips.net/video/fph_KdwMuGs/видео.html Thanks for watching!
10 minutes in and I ordered if it's going to make it easier. I'm following your steps for time, temp, and rotation but my blacks are coming out horrible on the tumblers. Bit faded or brown with my HPN 7in1. Porcelain coffee mugs look fine with black in them. I don't even want to do anymore with a lot of black in them. Do you have a video on color settings? Not sure if I should be choosing pure black or black point compensation with those.
Hey, join the Facebook group so we can troubleshoot! (It’s a lot easier than back and forth on RUclips.) Long story short, blacks turning brown usually mean too much time and/or temp.
You order them with a matte finish! I get all my tumblers, both regular (shiny) and matte from this distributor! www.locustsub.com/?parent_user_id=14051924& Thanks for watching!
Whaaaat?! Yup, most definitely a "why didn't I think of that" kind of tool! Thank you for sharing the demonstration! I definitely need to add this to my list of NEEDED supplies!!
Thank you for the review. I've been debating on getting this and I trust your opinion. I've been having so many issues with ghosting. I have a heat press. Hoping this helps.
I’m really happy with the Pinch Perfect! It doesn’t fix everything, but it sure helps getting that paper tight around the tumbler! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for this video and all the other I have learned so much. I was very curious about this tool because I have such a hard time pulling my the paper tight initially because of a my condition its very painful . This seems like it will be an answer to that problem. Thank you!
I need to give this a try. It’s hard for me to get the paper on tight. I usually use shrink wrap but if this works well, it will save me money because I won’t need to use the wraps anymore. TFS
I have had that happen a couple of times. A way to help fix that is to add a pice of heat tape along the seam, on the underside of the tape that’s overlapping.
Hey, Roy. Another awesome video. Thanks! I already purchase my Pinch Perfect. Can't wait!! Would be great if you could do a wrap without your design for the seam. Just to see if the Pinch Perfect gives a seamless finish. Just a thought! Have a wonderful day! Happy wrapping! : )
Thank you so much for this review! I’ve been wanting to see this used and after this video I would really love to try it! Just joined your Facebook group!
They’re not free, and you can wrap a tumbler without using one, but if you can afford it and have issues wrapping a tumbler correctly, the money you save on potentially ruined tumblers will quickly pay for the Pinch Perfect! Fortunately it’s not a requirement for making tumblers, only a “nice to have” if one can swing the cost and need it to improve tumbler making skills. Thanks for watching!
I am not a fan of it. We tried it many different ways including following the instructions to the T. It's just faster and easier for us to do it manually without that tool
Interesting. I was expecting a bit of a challenge to get the hang of it, but it worked quite well. Did you try just using it in the center? I also heard that sometimes people have issues if there’s a slight curvature of the tumbler. If you haven’t yet, try using it like I did.
I just now saw this maybe you could get them to give you the pinch perfect as a gift for Christmas for another video and give away... It looks awesome.. But then again I'm just getting started. So I could probably use one. I'll add you to my Facebook. I really like your videos.
I purchased one before the video was even finished. Brilliant!
Aren’t they great?! Thanks for watching!
I absolutely love your designs!!
Thank you so much!
Thank you. I enjoy your shows
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
Thank you, I just ordered it.
I think you’ll like it. I know I do! Thanks for watching!
Just ordered mine :) Can’t wait.
It’s awesome! I use it a little differently than what they suggest, so make sure to look at their instructions as well! And thanks for watching!
This would be great for someone with hand strength issues.
Absolutely! And I’m getting ready to test a new one out that may be even easier! Thanks for watching!
I love gadgets also.
Right?!
Really helpful, thank you!
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
I just ordered a pinch perfect just from watching this video! Your genuine, raw review sold me! Hope it helps my seams!
I think you’ll like it! It’s almost like having an extra hand to hold the center! Thanks for watching!
Hi Roy my name is Ellie, I am so glad I found your channel! you were my manager for a short time at Launch Bay. Debbie J and I miss you dearly!
Hi, Ellie! I’m so glad you found my channel too! It’s great to hear from you!!!
Thanks! It's tough doing seamless when it has words on the seem! I will try to avoid those haha So, I'm thankful for this video.
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
You can put making tape on the underside of your ruler. An old printers setup guys trick.
Great to know! Thanks!

I found you online, I was scared to try it! So glad you showed this!

Love ❤ your box openings and reviews. Care to share which cup press you use. 😊

Sounds good. Thanks for watching!
I can see this helping with a person who has arthritis ( me). ❤️. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
I would imagine it would help a lot. The Pinch Perfect did all the work! Thanks for watching!
Me 2 but I can't seem to get it in uk
Unrelated but I remember you used a heavy duty thread under the shrink wrap to help remove it when the tumbler is done. What kind of thread was that again?
You know, now that you mention it, I do remember a conversation or two about that, but I personally have only used one long strip of heat tape under the shrink wrap to help pull it off. Thanks for watching!
They actually make shrink wrap that has an area down the side to pull it right apart once it's done!
Just ordered. Hopefully I am a fan
Hopefully you are too! (Hint…I think you will be!) Thanks for watching!
I just ordered mine. I can't wait to get it.
You’ll love it! Thanks for watching!
Are you overlapping the seam when you pull it tight with that?
I am. I have about 1/16” design overlap, and 1/16” of white paper. Thanks for watching!
I'm not sure if this has been asked, but does this work well on black images because I feel that black images are the hardest to deal with
Hey! This take the paper and puts it tight against the tumbler. Blacks are tricky due to several variables. Where can I get one of these in the UK please no where delivers here I have found and due to bad hands this would make my life so much easier
I’m not sure,as I don’t sell them. My suggestion would be to reach out to the owners of Pinch Perfect and see if they can ship to you. Thanks for watching!
If this tool pulls the paper extra tight, is it possible that the top and bottom no longer need to be taped? That would save alot of time
You know, that’s a great question! Maybe?! Since I still tape the edges of my tumblers, I’ll continue to tape the seam. (I’ve tried not taping the edges with zero luck! Some people can get away with it. I am not one of those people!) Thanks for watching!
