- An incredibly yummy cabbage pancake and it's super easy to make! A great dish to cook with your family during the lockdown. Enjoy!xxx
HERE ARE THE MEASUREMENT OF THE INGREDIENTS:
3 cups of shredded cabbage
1 cup of spring onion
1/2 cup of flour
1 cup of water
1 large egg
2 tsp sugar
salt and pepper to taste
oil for pan-frying
METHOD:
1. In a bowl, add the flour, egg, water, sugar, salt, and pepper, mix until you get a homogeneous batter.
2. Roughly chop the cabbage, spring onion and put everything into a batter bowl and fold.
3. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan, add half of the batter. Fry the pancake for 4 minutes on one side until golden, flip and cook for another 4 minutes on the other side.
4. Slide the pancake onto a plate or wooden cutting board and repeat with the remaining batter to make a second pancake. and..that's it..so easy :) you can serve it with lemon soy sauce or any dipping sauce you prefer.

I use shredded cole slaw packages…easy…especially if you can’t use up a whole cabbage!

The pancakes definitely look crunchy but are they soft inside ? ì'm gonna try the recipe but gonna add shredded carrot, sliced garlic & maybe another item or two to fit my tastes & to add some color. Loved how you did your video without alot of gabbing & put the info in the video to read & posted the recipe below the video instead of making us hunt for it ! Thanks for your nice quiet to the point style.

Help I've tried the recipe but on the first half of the batch the pancake just wouldn't set and became mushy. I've still got half the batch in the fridge. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Hi Lynn, just use Medium heat 325° to 374° or wait to see a golden brown color no need to time it...let me know how you go.. cheers!

Love this & have made it a couple times. Add 5 spice & coriander powder to the liquid + shrimp to the side waiting to be flipped. Top with sweet chili sauce. Yeah, I'm American.
