    67yo I learned Excel (over the phone from my Rocket Scientist younger brother) so I could create spreadsheet templates for our sole proprietor trucking business. I saved us $90 a month 1996 - 2006.
    Our tax accountant loved me.
    This refresher taught me so much and I'm only several minutes into the lesson!
    Glad I can pause, tske notes or jump back.

    I've been looking for years for simple easy to understand training that doesn't move too fast or highlight too much that feels irrelevant for me, and this is a perfect intro. I really feel like I took this in well! I will be watching more of these videos this coming week to prepare for trying to apply to jobs that ask that I have intermediate excel familiarity on top of all the rest of my knowledge and skillset. I've been missing this for years and needing help for years. tried a few things but nothing has stuck. this could be so wonderful for me and I have to thank you so much for your content!

    Instead of using the Paint brush for copying a format, you can use the short key Ctrl. + Y, which also give you the posibility to repeat the last action you did, no matter what it was. This also goes for Word and PowerPoint :) So anything you do in Excel can be repeated, like eg. adding a row, you can set in alot of rows, just buy pushing Ctrl. + Y several times.

      Pretty much any hot keys work across windows not just programs but the platform itself. Like cntrl p for example will print even in the internet browser. If it's possible to use the function then the hot key can be used. I think this is even true in apple, though they have their own patterns and hot keys

    • @juanmccoy3066
      @juanmccoy3066 Год назад

      But I gotta tell u hot keys frusturate me so much. People who think they know computers only know one task on one program very well because someone helped them memorize each step. When you try to teach them hot keys they freeze the hell up.
      I train this older woman at work. And I can't get her to use cntrl s or cntrl n or even cntrl p to save her life. She has to manually click on the icon. Its so infuriating.

      @@juanmccoy3066lol most of the world isn’t smart like you. :) You could make a excel work sheet with all of the hotkeys and it’s function, one column hotkey, another column the function. Highlight the column, hit control F and find the desired function. :) I need to make one of these for myself actually;) Good luck dealing with the Population HAHA ! ;)
