- I Bought A BMW 1 Series M Sport & Drove It To Switzerland! I bought a new daily driver which is the BMW 1 series 118d m sport. its perfect for what we need it to do and we drove it to switzerland for a roadtrip!
Wow could you share more info about your trip? Some links of the hotel, routes etc..?
Can I just say I had a mini electric too, loved the car mainly because just how it drove, road handling, quality build and how it looked. Although we had to sell too due to poor range in the winter (live in Scotland), depreciation and higher insurance renewal. I don’t think a Tesla would offer the same drive from a personal basis. I don’t think Stef was slagging off EVs, just explaining his experience with the mini, which after all is what his videos are mainly for??? Truly stunning video Stef, definitely on our bucket list now …… would you not travel with Rollo?
Thanks, wasn’t slagging them off as you say. Just didn’t work for us anymore especially the mini. Would love to bring rollo but it would be too much for him. His breathing is pretty bad and would struggle in the car that long. Plus he’s not made for that amount of hiking 😂

You start the video slagging of EVs just because you purchased one of the worst ones out there. Live with a Tesla model 3 long range and then give your opinion. 2nd hand going for £25-30k and you get anywhere between 260-300 miles range depending on climate. I’ve never spent more than £7 on a ‘full tank’ in my Tesla and most expensive thing I’ve had to do to it was change the windscreen washer fluid. Buy a proper EV before you give your opinion with that nightmare 118d 🙈

I’m from America. I had no idea they still made these cars. We only got the 1st gen ones here only in coupe or convertible form. No hatchback.
Do you also use the diesel in city traffic ? Why diesel and not gas with 48v hybrid ?

Nice! We live in Switzerland and recently got a used 120d xdrive. Love it. Perfect for roadtrip and the AWD helps a lot. Does 0-60mph is like 7seconds which is quicker than my Audi. I love the size and drivinf dynamics on the 1er

@@StefABtv that’s an awful lot of car for the money Stef. Struggling to think of a better value as new one for the money TBH (plus you’re not alone in abandoning EV’s for an ICE one). I still think synthetic fuel is the answer and not electric…🏎️

A 120d F40 (which _is_ close to 200hp) would be great, even better with the xDrive for an alpine trip, and makes better use for an averagely sized fuel tank - however i've shunned the diesel due to incoming uncertain emissions restrictions, not just in the UK but also places in Europe, a pity...
Diesels make so much more sense than EV. I get 750 miles between fill ups in my 530d.

I had one as a courtesy car recently and actually preferred it to my old M135i. Super comfy, easy to drive, not fun as such but considering one for a daily.

Hi Stef I’ve got the 2.0diesel m sport 1 series !!! anna on the roads !!! stated that the British government banned the 2.0 diesel from bmw ? But lovely cars oh my days of electric cars was in 1970s at the fairgrounds 👍👍👍
