I’ve been gaming since I was a little boy in the 90’s. The Zelda Oled is the first themed console I’ve ever owned. I love it.

Same hahah. 1990. Watched my dad struggle through links to the past. Played super Mario all stars so well at 4 year old my mum and dad stopped me from playing it it scared them.

Splatoon got the best joycons
Pokemon got the best switch (back part)
Zelda got the best dock
Now you just have to buy all 3 to create the best switch
Eh, Im not a fan of the Pokemon switch. If it was more classic pokemon on the back instead of the graffiti design they chose it would be better. I like TOTKs simple but nice looking design

I got the Zelda OLED as well and I'm super happy! The joy cons did have more potential in my opinion, but the dock is a 11/10.
A lot of people have been complaining that they could have done more for the joy-cons, but I don’t really know how they could have done better? They went with gold for the base color (in line with other special edition Zelda consoles, controllers, and game cartridges of the past), but they are definitely limited in anything else. I think they look great!
@@Samarlaropa That's very fair. I also don't mean to say they're not beautiful, but to me the green and white bits just feel so...pasted on? I like a design where the accents actually make interesting use of the shape of what it's put on, so the way it was done here feels a bit basic. I guess I basically would've loved if it was similar to the Skyward Sword joy cons, but in gold (or green, or both).
@@Anni_ka You know what? Now that I look at mine closer, I can totally see your point! I think maybe a design that matched the utilized the shape more would be better. I also probably would have preferred both sides have the green design to better balance out the color and make it more symmetric, especially with the circle design on the back!

@@Samarlaropa I got the TOTK switch as well, imo, the thing that stands out a bit too much is the green on the left one. It's just a little too much of a solid color and design. A kind of like a solid chunk of green, but then you have the crop-air circles on the right joy con with the white being dispersed a bit better. love it!
I just wish nintendo would sell the splatoon joycons seperately. I love them so much
I wish they sold all the different variety joycons separately or in sets like the original blue and red.
I love my Splatoon OLED, it's gorgeous! I recently upgraded the analogue sticks with the hall effect sensing ones from GuliKit and I am simply in love with this console!
I got the Scarlet and Violet one two days ago and I love the sticker style on the back of the Switch and I love how bold the dock is, colour-wise. I wish the Joy-con had more going for it on the front, though.
I got the splatoon oled, the gradient on the joycons looks so nice in person :)
i love the zelda switch and dock but the joycons are a solid 9.5/10 the splatoon 3 joycons easy 10/10 i still don't know which one to get
I Bought an OLED Switch right before they announced the Scarlet and Violet one, now everyday goes by where I want to just buy it and replace mine but then they'll announce the next generation console with my luck. 🤣

You never showed off the Joy-con straps, those are all different in each Switch OLED SE too!
Though sadly the Joy-con grip is not different, it's just the same ol' black and I really wish they would do something with that for these Special Edition Switches.
I think the animal crossing one has a white grip?

Even though Im a Zelda fan and haven't played any of Splatoon game . I think Splatoon edition has a cool looking joycons . But the TOTK dock is 10 out of 10 for me . 💕❤️ If only Nintendo made TOTK edition to look like Sheika / Purah Slate , that'll be Awesome . 😁
They made these special editions so good that people would want to double dip, and it is definitely working.
Not me I’m keeping the original with gray joy cons i see no point spending over £300 for a different screen when i play it on a 50inch 4K hdr Samsung tv (i know the switch is only 1080p ) lol but still
@@ot9523 my switch crapped out after 6 years (i bought it day one) the fan kicked the bucket and would vibrate the whole machine, so I went ahead and upgraded to the base OLED model and omg it was so worth it. I always play in handheld unless with friends and the screen looks so pretty. Literally makes the regular switch look like a 3ds lol, and my friends who own regular switches always comment on it lol
@@philipsparks6089 yeah the screens definitely nicer but if you have one that works in my opinion it isn’t worth the upgrade i know Nintendos next console will be out within a couple of years anyway

I ended up caving, I’ve got the original OLED but also got the Splatoon one. I just couldn’t resist it.

Yeah that's one one I have as well. The Zelda one is super tempting because it's Zelda. But when it comes to looks, the Splatoon 3 has the win in my opinion.
How do you guys feel about the plain splatoon dock? Does it look better in person? I love the look and colours of joy cons but dock is mainly white and can’t really see design. I want splatoon Oled for joy cons but I really really want Pokemon and Zelda dock. Do you think it’s highly possible that I could go with splatoon and try and buy Zelda and Pokemon dock, separately? I just can’t make up my mind. Splatoon or Zelda. Splatoon joy cons great

@@grahamkelly8662 not directly from Nintendo but I know for a fact someone will sell it separately (whether it’s the joy cons and or the docks) because that tends to always happen sooner or later when comes to sets. Some ppl don’t care enough to keep a set together but I will say, it’ll probably be expensive to get a dock separate secondhand.
@@grahamkelly8662 Oh it's much better in person I think. I personally feel that the graffiti design pops a tad more than what you see in the video. However I won't say that it stands out a lot. I feel it's just enough to make that little yellow splat shine. For me it works because it doesn't do too much while still feeling like a special edition console. It's my favorite of them all.
@@grahamkelly8662 IMO it’s the perfect balance of well designed without being too in your face (like the Pokémon one). The overall sticker design is fairly subtle but still discernible from across the room, and the pop of green ink really draws you in!
I seriously love all the little Splatoon sticker details on the dock, switch back, joy con (and matching pro controller)

Upgraded from the Nintendo Switch OLED from the V1 model, have a secondary V2 switch that's scratched up slightly with one broken speaker for demo use in handheld, got the Splatoon 3 special because it looked sexy, and now getting the Zelda special edition because that looks sexy as well. Swear these switch models get better and better.
My rankings:-
1.) splatoon 3 switch 11/10
2.) Zelda switch 8.5/10
3.) Pokemon switch 7/10

The splatoon joy cons are beautiful, but I love the dark for the Zelda one and the Zelda one of the really pretty too so hard to pick if you really wanted an old lead.
I wish theyd release another round of the splatoon edition, its gorgeous and im 100% sure itd sell out again

I got the Splatoon edition upon release. Of course I am a tad envious of those who have the TOTK edition, but I'm learning restraint (LOL) and happy with my original choice.
I'm surprised to see that Zelda special edition is readily available everywhere as opposed to the limited edition game which is near impossible to find.
Zelda dock, poké console, with Splatoon 3 joycons would be ideal 🤩
I upgraded from my V1 launch day switch to the Zelda tears of the kingdom edition OLED switch, man it is so stunning, idk what people mean by the joy cons could have been better, they are so stunning. Amazing upgrade.
That's exactly what I did. I play handheld mostly and I held off buying an oled until the Zelda one came out. The upgrade is stunning.
For me, the splatoon 3 oled is still the best themed switch right now even if you compare with the new mario edition oled.. Love the splatoon 3 so much..

I've considered getting a oled switch since they came out but hard to justify when I already own a regular switch. I would like to have a slighly bigger screen when playing handheld though. It was nice to see the special editions next to each other :)

In my opinion the Switch Oleds Limited Editions of Zelda TOTK n Splatoon 3 are def the best looking ones
The only things that suck about these special editions, mainly the OLEDs, is that they’re usually more expensive and DONT INCLUDE THE GAME…
They are only $10 more than the OG OLED, why would they include the game?

0 regrets for the Pokémon OLED. I could’ve waited for the Zelda OLED model but the back graffiti was so unique compared to the other 2.. couldn’t wait anymore to upgrade from my V1. Still a happy camper here regardless.

If you want to play Tears of the Kingdom on a new Switch, you should first have your Breath of the Wild save files ported to the new Switch because I heard that you can have some data from your Breath of the Wild save data be ported to your Tears of the Kingdom data like your horses.
Tears of Kingdom switch caught my eye when I was in Best Buy day one when it came out. People was buying them quick lucky I got one before they was all gone. I love the box art and all very happy with it

The Zelda switch was the best one and the Goat because that switch looks impeccable compared to the others. The others look halfassed and like they were rushed. Nintendo knew exactly what they were doing waiting this long to make a Zelda themed switch. With TOTK being it’s launch alongside.

The Zelda Special Edition is the one I got! It's also my first OLED, the Switch I had before was the one I got the day it first launched so many years ago. Man the OLED screen is SO nice!

That splatoon one looked amazing until i saw the back of the cons are GREY and the dock has a massive horrible colour splat on it 😂 from 10 to 8/10

I got the splatoon edition to replace my old switch. I just love the ombre joy cons and though I also like the zelda edition, I still prefer my splatoon. ^^,
I really like both the Zelda OLED and the Splatoon 3 OLED. Zelda because I like the gold along with all the other textures, and I'm really looking forward to playing Tears of the Kingdom. Splatoon 3 because I love graffiti style art.

If the splatoon switch qas in stock i would definitely buy it. Tbh the back of the pokemon was is the best although the white dock just doesnt suit it.
i got the zelda oled and am very happy. My first oled. Makes the wait for the next generation much easier. My guess 2 years or less from 5/5/23.

They're so beautiful. I have them all too but I only use the red and blue oled switch and my white one and the rest are still in their boxes on display. My friends think that I'm weird but I'm going to hang on to them!
Unless you’re planning on holding it for like 30 years you can open them! Just try to keep the box in good condition! That’s what I do!

Yeah, unfortunately there's just no way I can justify the price, especially if the next Nintendo console is around the corner (even if it only gets announced next year I still couldn't justify buying it). My current Switch (original model) still works just fine, and given that I play docked 98% of the time I simply can't justify buying it for the better screen. And even if I could justify it for myself (because my love for Zelda is just that big) I could never justify it to my non-gaming better half... Oh I wish someone would just give me one, or I had more luck and finally won one of those Zelda OLED giveaways that are popping up right and left. But alas, I guess I'll have to just admire it from afar... So frustrating...

I think since when I got the Mario Edition switch OLED and I didn't have to upgrade to my original I kept my original switch OLED 2021 want to get every special edition switch as a collectors

I want to get a switch OLED because since our tv is in the basement and guests play loud music, I can take the switch where I hang out which is a room above the garage and stay there.
I don't care about Splatoon, but those joycons are exceptional! I do have the Zelda console, and I'm very happy with it. I think the Pokémon console isn't quite there - the white doesn't look good for it.
I wish the docking design was on the switch itself.
I wish they'd fix the joycon drifting.
