The green is meant to represent Link’s arm, the dock is so beautiful for me, it’s so striking and polished.
I see people say Links arm but I don't see where that's confirmed. It could be a lot of things like his Tunic or just the greenery in the game or just simply Joycons are normally asymmetric.

The Splatoon 3 Switch is easily my favorite. It was the OLED I purchased when upgrading from the OG Switch. The moment I saw it I was like, "I must have that!' It's such a gorgeous console and one that'll be hard to beat in my opinion. However I do agree that giving Zelda's impact in gaming, it'll be hard not to choose that one as your singular version.
I swear I'm the odd man out. I really love the pop of green on the Zelda OLED. Big reason why I preordered it other than it being Zelda in general.

I just purchased the scarlet and violet versions. The glossy dock is so appealing. And the switch tablet is more visible when you use other joycons that you have a special edition
I bought the The Tears of the Kingdom OLED, the original TotK game and the collector's edition game. So excited that Target had the collector's edition game in stock. Got the LAST ONE! Best Buy didn't have ANY in stock when the store opened today. Thank goodness Target came through in the clutch. LOVE IT!
The Splatoon switch is nice!
While I don’t play splatoon, for me the OLED is very easy on the eye. But I held back for tears and I’m very happy with my purchase.

@S7even yeah. I understand the reason for the green, it is just like you said. For me it is like it totally disrupts the elegant design.
I agree to an extent, I think if it was all white and gold then it might look plain, however elegant it would look. I wish they had brought some gold outlining to the back of the switch console for the contrast and maybe tied the green in a little more but I still think it’s a beautiful console
I have had my zelda version for the last few days. The screen Compared to my OG (v1) is night and day. Its reignited my love for the switch. I absolutely love my oled version. Its definitely the best version for me. I love it abd I am happy with this purchase ❤
Cool video, However I think majority here are just going to buy what version they are a fan of.
A Zelda fan will always go for a Zelda themed switch, as a Pokemon fan would prefer Pokemon.
In terms of No biased I do Agree the colors on the Splattoon joy cons look very neat.
as for the dock I prefer the Zelda one what a proper new generation Triforce such a cool look.
I think overall I'd feel much for comfortable showing off the Zelda ones to friends and family for it's
mature stylish yet Minimalistic design that can fit in so many settings.

What about for those who don’t travel with their switch and only use it while it’s docked? It might be better to buy the original switch and save $50-$60. You can use that money towards a game.

I DONT really play splatoon but for me it’s the nicest looking overall specially the joycons
So let me get this straight. The Splatoon OLED is better in every way, and in first place in your initial 3 separate part review, but then the Zelda OLED still wins?

Was in the market for the Splatoon one but ended up finding the scarlet and violet one first. No regrets. Sleekness be damned. It’s eye catching and I love it. The dock is also very pretty and the subtle pokeball on the back of the deck is great too
Just picked up the scarlet and violet today, initially I said no, then walked out of GameStop, looked up one pic of the dock and then went right back in to cop it!!
I prefer the Zelda OLED in that the dock and design of the handheld is just more appealing to me. I mostly play on my dock so for the most part thats what I see on my screen (I still need to upgrade my TV to an OLED to get the best effect) but playing my favourite games on a bigger screen is just better in my opinion plus I'm more likely to sit more comfortably and can therefore play longer whereas on a handheld after an hour or two I start to get aches and pains from holding the handheld and generally leaning over it as opposed to sitting back on my couch playing on a big screen. Also I'm Australian and our colour is Green and Gold so I just think it works best for me.
Zelda icons, symbols, paintings reminds me from Mycenaean and Minoan era.
i just wish i have one too. been saving a lot and working( as a student) to buy one lately but prioritizing my basic needs and allowance for my schooling gets me hopeless to have one, just gotta settle for binge watching this kind of videos on RUclips hahaha. anyways hoping i could get one someday. have fun playing guys!!
I’m not sure if anyone has said the green on the left joycon is in reference to Link originally being a lefty and his main hand having the green energy in TOTK. Yes I know he’s a righty since the Wii days but that was for motion control issues not cannon issues.
I've thought about that as a lefty. since there will a lot of references to old zelda in this one.
I love my Zelda switch. Zelda consoles with the gold is always super nice looking. It’s not super busy and looks super good. The green on gold I also don’t think is super good looking. I think a lighter shade would make it better but I’m growing to like it.
Honestly I'd go for the OG switch to save money because I never play in portable mode. The special edition versions look really nice but, again, I only play on a TV so an OLED switch is pointless for me. Unless I just really wanted a fancy looking dock and joycons, it's not worth it for me. But the Lite is not for me either.

If I’m going to get a special edition I want it to pop. That’s why Pokémon scarlet is the best one. The other two play it safe and make subtle changes

I'm not a huge Splatoon fan. It's a fun game but I don't play it much. I'm a huge Zelda fan though. That being said the Splatoon switch by far looks the best. So good looking.

I am getting the Zelda OLED switch for Christmas this year.
I honestly bought the Pokemon ver because I unironically love how loud and bold it looks but it still gives off a slight "prestigious school" vibe, lol. The front and joycons with the legendaries and school emblems really give that humble "this is the symbol of our school" kinda image but then you look at the back and bam! Middle school locker/notebook nostalgia. It's not for everyone, but I still think it has a lot of charm.
Though overall I'm glad OLED limited edition designs are much more experimental now--gradient joycons and colored backplates are much of an improvement than the days of "new pair of single-colored joycons and minimal embossed backplate" that most of the V1/V2 limited editions got!
The Zelda bundle is my favourite, but I also love the Pikachu and Eevee joy-cons and Animal Crossing dock.
Is it wrong to want all three.

I got the Pokémon OLED to replace my Animal Crossing Switch when it came out but i love the TOTK OLED, definitely would have gotten it if I didn't already have the Pokémon one, but can't see why I would need a 2nd OLED now 😅 but I was tempted, just sticking with the TOTK pro controller for now
I bought the splatoon oled because I liked the colors and the back of the Joycons are a little bit transparent I also have the galactic purple shells for my ps5 and I love how well everything goes together

I have the Splatoon 3 Switch OLED, but I just bought the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet one. Probably never going to use it. It just feels right to buy it since I’ve been a Pokémon fan all my life. All the OLED switches are really good tho! It’s just up to personal preference.
And I’ve regretted not buying the special edition Nintendo 3ds’. The prices of those consoles are crazy expensive right now!
I’ve owned all of them and even though I sold the Splatoon one for my Pokémon one i would genuinely have to choose the Pokémon one, beautiful design and really unique.
Get the Zelda one, don't think twice.
Zelda TOTK is the last great Switch. Until the next edition.

Got the Pokémon OLED switch, but now I’m contemplating on selling it to get the Zelda OLED. I agree on what you mentioned, it’s more aesthetically pleasing compared to the loudness of Pokémon characters all over lol
I am considering doing the same, selling the poke OLED for Zelda. Not sure though since the zelda console itself is bland (more subtle though), just the joycons and dock are good except the green. The pokemon back is very loud, but more obviously a special edition on its own. Hard choice! I also kinda want both, but that's def a waste lol

I love how you were on the fence throughout 😂. I’m still so torn. Practically speaking, you only need one OLED, but how do you choose between the Splatoon and the TOTK variant? I picked up a Splatoon variant because I love the joycon and dock simplicity, but zelda is just so regal. I definitely stare at the TOTK switch and think I’m going to impulse buy it if I’m not careful

Glad I bought the Zelda Switch yesterday,, between the Series X and the PS5 it stands out but in a pleasant way and the standard white OLED would have stood out too much.

Got the Ztotk. That green joycon makes the rest of the console seem cheap until you see the dock but who is gonna see the dock? 😂 joy ins are mid tier.
Don’t know why people don’t like that green in the totk oled. It represents links arm in the game. Also the back of the totk oled is really cool cuz if your looking at it from far away it looks normal but when you shine it in a bright light you see that good good.

Splatoon is a little too popping for me. Initially splatoon gives me a dopamine burst, and it still does, but as I look at zelda version more, I start to favor its subtleness. However, no one can say no to splatoon joycons' gradation. I'm definitely getting one when I'm ready to play nintendo sports or something.

I have the splatoon ed. While wifey has the pokemon ed. But, If there would be a 4th limited ed. switch, I'd like to build it something like:
Joycons - fr splatoon ed. - i love the gradient color of the front and the, somehow semi transparent white of the back
Tablet back plate - fr pokemon ed. - i just love the color and how clear the details are
Dock front cover - fr zelda ed. - i agree that the white and subtle gold color prints would be best / would suit any entertainment setup
Dock back - fr pokemon ed. - i like the simple yet witty pokeball design
Straps - fr splatoon ed. - black plastic w different colored straps
Accessorized w skull and co crystal case w matching thumb grip colors😂
Game / Theme of the console: Hades / Monster Hunter
Personally, if i would have a special / limited ed. I really would like it to feel and look really special and limited. Wc is why, the pokemon ed is my least favorite

I felt the same way. I was going to put white joycons on my Zelda edition and sell the rest. Now that I have it in hand though, my mind has changed. The gold joy cons are special but not loud.
here in switzerland the neon oled costs 307 the white ones costs 318 the pokemon is 334 and the zelda is 369 I can not find a splatoon one in my local game store though.

I'm getting the Tears of the Kingdom edition switch OLED I still have the 2017 switch model since brand new and I mostly play in handheld and sometimes play it on the TV
Edit: I'm not really a Zelda fan I do like to play Zelda here and there I really like the Tears of the Kingdom edition look.

I’ve really never been a big Zelda fan. The only game I liked was the Zelda game for the SNES (I forgot the name of the game) but the Zelda switch is a good console, but it’s not for me. I absolutely love Splatoon, and I love the way the splatoon switch OLED looks it looks so amazing in everyway

I wish the splatoon edition had yellow faded to green on both joycons.
I actually really like the look of the Pokemon dock. The scarlet and violet Pokemon really pop and I like the Pokeball on the back corner. But I agree the joycons on the other two look better. The gold Zelda joycons would probably be my favorite if not for the green on the left side. I just don't really like that green on the gold. The white on the gold on the right joycon looks spectacular.
I just got a V2 neon switch for £150 used compared to a new oled at £330. I saved £180 by being ok with a slightly less nicer screen. It really isn't a big deal for me.
I think the Skyward Sword Joycon paired with the Tears of Kingdom system and dock would look great!

I thought the same thing. I tried it, they didn’t look that great sadly😂. Made me appreciate the joycons that came with system. Nintendo really found the right balance with TotK switch

Sad, my favorite is the pokemon one, it has my favorite back by far and it looks great with the joys, also the dock is my second favorite just because of the material

I sold my Splatoon and Pokémon and kept the TotK, but to be honest, Splatoon looks the best. All said, the Zelda console will be more valuable in the future as opposed to the two others.
The zelda one would actually he least valuable as there is way to many of them made. There is an abundance of them, do this console will never be rare. You might as well considered this one the red and blue joy con version because that is how many of them they are selling.
So that being said, don't buy it because you will think it will have value later. It won't. But it because you like it.

I got the dock for Pokémon, splatoon Joycons and satisfye Zelda grip (when it’s released). The Zelda design is nothing special without being bias.

I have the pokemon violet/scarlett edition switch
I have the switch light, but once it got analog stick drift it was no longer playable.
I use my switch lite for Handheld gaming, its nice compact and most importantly light weight and my OG 2017 switch in the dock only. Only way I would get an oled is if there's a better/overclocked CPU and more ram in it then the OG switch and of course there is not.

Lemme help you decide Tears of the kingdom oled enough said I got mine and so in love with it hardly can wait for tears of kingdom game to come out already. It was such an upgrade the last switch I had was breath of the wild bundle.

I’m not too bothered about the dock having a back as long as the front is different that’s all it matters. I love two of these but pokemon one seems stunning alongside splatoon!

My personal favorite is the tears of the kingdom oled, although its not as colorful its really clean and not as flashy if you dont want it to be an eyesore
Just bought the Splatoon edition with Picofly. Mario is my 2nd, I love the dock. I don't like the tone of the gold on the zelda.

Everyone is on the bandwagon on the Green but joycons are asymmetric like they are supposed to be and It works.
The splatoon one joycons wise is better. The TOTK the dock is best

I think you have the wrong back to the splatoon one, that one actually has the same kind of greebling as the front.
I like that Pokémon one but went for the Zelda one instead. If the next Nintendo console isn’t backwards compatible I’m not even gonna bother.
