- When Steven and his BFF Connie fusing changed the game on Steven Universe. Human fusions showed us that important bonds could transcend the rules of fusion we had come to know and completely flipped the script- opening up more possibilities like Steg. Not only did this fresh fusion usher in new rules to the world, but this character also brought even more representation to an already diverse cast. The looks on Sadie's and Lars's faces are priceless when Stevonnie is in the donut shop. It is obvious that Sadie is attracted to Stevonnie. Interesting that Sadie's eventual relationship would be with another non-binary, Shep.

An interesting detail about Kevin not many people notice:
He is very physically similar with Stevonnie. When he and Stevonnie first meet in the dance scene, he has the same exact color palette, height and hair color. And even his name. Stevonnie has the first part of Steven (Stev~) and the last part of Connie (~Onnie). Kevin is the opposite. He has the first part of Connie(the c/k sound) and the last part of Steven (even).

Pretty thorough explanation! Stevonnie is so interesting to me because even more than Steven himself, Stevonnie seems like the culmination of Pink's/Rose's legacy. They have her full battle prowess with both sword and shield, they proved that inter-species fusion was possible, and when they accidentally showed up at the Era 3 ball, their build in the Imperial outfit looked much more like Pink than Steven ever did.

And let's not forget that Stevonnie played pink diamond when they had their first diamond dream. It was them we see pleading and bugging yellow for a colony right before breaking the window.

Stevonnie, that episode was definitely odd. At least Sour Cream wasn't ogling them. He just thought they were cool and wasn't surprised when they unfused. Though I'm sure Sadie and Lars had a good long introspection when they found out.
Maybe because of that introspection after knowing Stevonnie led to Saddie realizing she doesn't really care about gender, there for dating her new partner? (I can't remember their name, sorry)

the part where both Steven and Connie explain how Kevin made me feel reminds me of a child's script right out of a 90s anti-bullying or peer pressure kids PSA lol. oh and of course Sunstone is one big 90s kids PSA parody! who knew a cartoon would reference something all we grew up seeing in a school classroom so often. must admit watching those cheesy PSAs were 100 times better than doing school work! :D

It reminds me of this dream I had a little while back that I was back in high school and there was this group of guys that kept pestering me and one of them did the whole "What, are you gay or something?" bs, to which I responded "So what if I am?" From that point, this is about the exchange that happened:

Guy: "He's... gay?"

He spent the rest of the dream correcting people on my pronouns and junk whiles continuing to try to pick on me. Honestly, he kinda sucked at it, though. His insults were lame.

What I like about Stevonnie is that they are a character of their type done right. They show that people like them are not weird or anomalies, but people who are complex yet beautiful like everyone else. Also, Stevonnie always seemed like another version of Garnet or someone who was on their way to being like her. In other words, Stevonnie represents a beautiful relationship.

I love Stevonnie and I also love how in Steven Universe Future they introduce another non-binary character who is _not_ a fusion. This show is really making an effort to be as inclusive as possible and it's honestly so nice to see

I never really thought about this Stevonnie apparently just knows how to drive a manual. Neither Connie or Steven have been shown to drive (until steven is 16) and when they fuse they know how to drive, and it being a manual on top of that impresses me even more.

Love the video & Stevonie as a character. They’re absolutely gorgeous, and their personality is so awesome. The only thing I don’t agree is Rebecas statement about puberty. When a child experiences puberty, they go through hormonal changes that develop over time into adulthood; they don’t become adults once they reach puberty!

The experience line I think could be great for so many other contradicting things and reassessing for yourself. For instance I have massive depression and anxiety but I’m a butterfly optimist, two things that keep me going is being hopelessly hopeful and a helpful paranoia that I’ll end things right before things turn around for me. I can step back and take a look at these things like, I am an experience.
First there was Stevonnie, then there was Steg, I'm still waiting for a different fusion like Stars.

When I was younger, I wasn’t aware what enby was. I always assumed that the gems called Stevonnie “they” or “them” because they were referring to both Steven and Connie. I didn’t even realize until now that they were non-binary
