Thank you. I keep saying a bismuth not our bismuth. Like honestly why does everyone think it’s ours if lapis didn’t have a reaction from seeing her? Or even in the movie? They freakin hug! I don’t think it was our bismuth but one with the same placement.
GingerChic87 I know right!? The development in relationship between our Bismuth and Lazuli did not go down the way the Barn Mates episode went between Lazuli and Peridot. Like Lazuli was obviously in dismay and hatred upon seeing Peridot so ignorantly and arrogantly barging in and claiming to easily make best friends, despite the fact that Peridot originally interrogated Lapis back when serving the regime (and when I think of interrogations in a tyrannical regime, I think of the torture chambers). Unlike other viewers of Barn Mates, I felt it was totally natural for Lazuli to retaliate against Peridot who I felt was so carelessly sweeping her dark past under the rug. So then Peridot would have to lean the hard way when it came to making amends to her former hostage for being so close-minded at the time. Yet when Bismuth not only shows up in front of Lapis, but also breaks up her hug with Steven (yes, it was because there were high stakes involved with Blue Diamond not wanting to go down like the Wicked Witch of the East), Lapis doesn’t make any startled or angered faces at Bismuth and even happily aides her in the fight alongside everyone also against Blue and Yellow. I know that Peridot’s positive morals is to put the past behind you. But even if Peridot taught Lapis to put the past behind her, it still feels unnatural for Lapis Lazuli to be so calm and accepting to our Bismuth for punching her in the back and causing her thousands of years of suffering, unless our Bismuth was NOT the Bismuth responsible for doing so. And it really was when Bismuth, Peridot and Lapis hugged each other like a loving family that made me believe that there could hardly be any way our Bismuth was responsible.
@@mustachetwirler7617 I believe Rebecca confirmed it actually WAS our Bismuth though. It's just that neither really recognizes the other, and even then, Lapis's trauma didn't come from being poofed, it came from being put in the mirror and then everything that followed.

Well depending on how you define that term I'd say yes and no. She was definitely a homeworld gem sent to earth, though in her flashback episodes, Lapis states, she just came for a visit, not to actively participate in the war (especially because Lapis' purpose on homeworld wasn't that of a fighter gem but a terraforming one for the construction of colonies).

So I'm ok with how her character was handled Also I honestly didn't really have an issue with rosepink proofing and bubbling her. *Now lying about that? Yeah I have a serious problem with that.* The problem here is bismuth wasn't going to listen to ANYONE but herself on this topic. A trait that is incredibly lethal if taken too far. Rosepink herself was probably reminded of white& Yellow diamond in that moment because white wouldn't listen to anyone but herself on anything and yellows first reaction is poofing or shattering a gem no matter how small the supposed slight. Hell even yellow zircon who didn't do anything wasn't safe. not even blue, a fellow diamond was safe from yellow or white. So I can see why Rosepink would poof and bubble bismuth as a sort of gem equal to a "tme out" or "go stand in the corner and think about what you said/did" or "you're grounded" The problem is that while this weapon would end the oppressors life? It wouldn't solve the real problem or fix the system. It just left the slot open for someone else to take. like say Jasper, emerald, aquamarine, pyrobe, ect. Wait I just realized something. If Bismuth is a metal... and Peridot has metal powers... does this mean Peridot can just move around and control Bismuth?
@@ProminenceSmash9Peridot’s power is not magnetism, it’s ferrokinesis (as labeled in “Save the Light” and “Unleash the Light”). She controls all types of metals in a telekinetic fashion as opposed to manipulating their magnetic fields to attract them. This is backed up by the fact that she manipulated soda cans which are mostly made of aluminum (which, under most circumstances, is non-magnetic) in “Made of Honor”, “Reunited”, and “Unleash the Light”. However, I feel like, in universe, all Gems are treated as gems regardless of whether or not they are in real life (i.e. Lapis being an actual stone whereas most gems are not really stones at all) so Bismuth is not considered in the show to actually be made of metal. Even said, Peridot did make Bismuth fly using her Ferrokinesis at the end of Future, however, Bismuth was wearing her battle armor which was likely what Peridot was manipulating. I could be wrong about Bismuth (the character) not being considered to be made of metal in universe though, in which case, Peridot should be able to levitate her without her armor and we only see Peridot levitating her with her armor because this wasn’t a casual thing and Bismuth was wearing it for protection because kaiju fight. We never really did get much of a chance to see the two interact casually unfortunately.
Diamonds, at least white, are also an element being made of only carbon And it's also shown in the last installment of the videogames that all Bismuths don't like authority and being ordered around in general
being an element means that its properties change when in contact with other elements. this is why it can be used in gun powder and medication, the pure element will change abilities and properties will change when combined with other elements. Salt is a great example of this because sodium explodes in contact with water, yet without salt we'd all die and sodium is in salt. chloride is also dangerous on its own yet that is also in salt. it stabilizes sodium's volatile nature. Elements are like legos of different shapes. depending on what ones you use, you can make anything you want in many different ways with many different uses.
Sorry for being a whole 4months late but I think ik the reason, I believe she feels uncomfortable and puts her to so much Pressure when she's being forced but when she is doing it without anyone telling her what to do she's way more comfortable she doesn't wanna be forced to do something probably
Pink Diamond ugh you left spinel in the garden, broke your mom and sisters hearts, left your pearl to take care of your son, and left your son to deal with all of your problems. You also were the cause of most of your rebellion becoming corrupted and the very place you swore to protect was almost killed by someone you mistreated. Should I rebel against the rebel? (Lol I cant wait for the response hehehe)
Rose: i want a sword that can not shatterd a gem but can go thru the gem Me as bismuth: ok Rose: shatterd pink diamond Also me as bismuth: wait the damn minute
She’s not reverting to anything she’s doing it cause she knows what she’s doing when building little homeworld an they can’t ask any human because they don’t know what to build and the other gems were never original made to build so they don’t know what to do she wasn’t exactly forced to build stuff for homeworld she was made for it and it was all she knew
Ironically the layered rainbow look that we all think of for business isn't even how it occurs naturally it's all gray and not very much to look at it's only with human interference that it gains that rainbow layered look
One thing, her music is actually more along the lines of techno, as opposed to metal, but the point still stands? I guess? It might be a fusion style, those aren’t uncommon
I am undoubtedly late to the party for this, but Diamonds are also an elemental crystal of pure carbon. while dopant impurities, commonly nitrogen for yellow and boron for blue, are most often responsible for coloration in diamonds, it is also possible to color pure carbon diamonds via particle beams, electron beams can do this nicely for surface color alteration after cutting, or through certain pressure alterations that make their structure refract a specific wavelength internally (not terribly common) so Bismuth is not the only elemental gem even as of her introduction.
i remember when bismuth's gemstone was first revealed, everyone assumed she was going to be a gentle dainty healer gem with a rainbow layered cake gown and square-curl rainbow hair like rose quartz, because bismuth is used in medicine, and how surprised everyone was when she was actually a super butch buff powermetal lady

"Bismuth's role in Steven Universe Future"
*laughs in Bispearl*
Sapphire has ice power
Ruby has fire power
Lapis lazuli has water power
Yellow diamond has electricity
Peri has metal, which is close enough to the earth element.
*_[F I R E ! ! !]_*
Dracon Uchiha I think pearl also had air power from when she was training Connie it shows her moving mist to make it hard to see
I love the fact Bismuth is a 2 on the hardness scale but Bismuth in SU is the opposite
Yes, we're back in Mismuth! :D
if i would be Pearl, i would LOVE those Bismuth muscles too lmao
AWWWW rose loved her fam(even tho they were abusive but we don't talk about that)
Rose was not abusive.
And you know Rose was Pink Diamond, right?
The armor yes she made but it wasn’t for the wedding it was just something she found that in her words “it’s the nicest thing I own” so she wore it
Damn it, wish we could of seen more of her!
Stop right at 0:00 and look at bismuth arms while she transforms them
Bismuth: Hates the diamonds for forcing her to make weapons..
Also Bismuth: is now liberated and now chooses to make weapons...
Sorry for being a whole 4months late but I think ik the reason, I believe she feels uncomfortable and puts her to so much Pressure when she's being forced but when she is doing it without anyone telling her what to do she's way more comfortable she doesn't wanna be forced to do something probably
Bismuth wasn’t used to make weapons, she’s used to make buildings.
Im still crying of laughter from that bismuth's "that's what she said"
Can you do one for Aquamarine! Please!
I love all of these character explanations. It sorts all the information into an understandable group. Thanks for making these 😁
10:35 : Bismith? Ummm watt.
HVGHDJDHBDBDJJD IM DED 😂
Finally you did Bismuth
Hi
*_[oh, you're happy that they made one about your fellow crystalline pebble, aren't you]_*
Pink Diamond ugh you left spinel in the garden, broke your mom and sisters hearts, left your pearl to take care of your son, and left your son to deal with all of your problems. You also were the cause of most of your rebellion becoming corrupted and the very place you swore to protect was almost killed by someone you mistreated. Should I rebel against the rebel?
(Lol I cant wait for the response hehehe)
Rose: i want a sword that can not shatterd a gem but can go thru the gem
Me as bismuth: ok
Rose: shatterd pink diamond
Also me as bismuth: wait the damn minute
She’s not reverting to anything she’s doing it cause she knows what she’s doing when building little homeworld an they can’t ask any human because they don’t know what to build and the other gems were never original made to build so they don’t know what to do she wasn’t exactly forced to build stuff for homeworld she was made for it and it was all she knew
BRO YES I WAS JUST PLAYING ZELDA SPIRIT TRACKS I LOVE GORONS BRO YESSSS
Ironically the layered rainbow look that we all think of for business isn't even how it occurs naturally it's all gray and not very much to look at it's only with human interference that it gains that rainbow layered look
Bismuths and pearls aren't gems, but they *can be* worn in jewelry like gems.
Bismuth has always been my favourite crystal gem.
My favourite line in the whole movie is actually ‘MY SCAFFOLDING! MY PRECIOUS SCAFFOLDING!!!’
Steven's face at 3:32 though🤣🤣🤣
3:36 ya mean?
Bismuth used to be and was mistakenly categorized as toxic or highly radioactive
Person: I think that's Indian food I had last night isn't-
Bismuth: Let's get down to Bismol.
One thing, her music is actually more along the lines of techno, as opposed to metal, but the point still stands? I guess? It might be a fusion style, those aren’t uncommon
I want to see her fuse. I don't really care who. Well maybe with peridot? I can just see a fascinating fusion there.
*thats what she said*
That part cracked me up if you know what i mean!
*Pepto Bismuth woah*
If you watched the TMNT cartoon series that Sugar's talking about, it becomes immediately obvious how they're similar. It's a mannerisms thing.
Bismuth means business in her overalls in the future!
10:35. Also, her pants disappear when she touches Pearl?
Pepno Busmith?
I think Bismuth didn't adapt to earth slang, I think she created it!
Aaaahhh finally myself
I love bismuth so much 😍😍😍😍
"I don't get what she has to do with the TMNT"
Me, screaming at the screen: IT'S HER FACE
Do Ruby next
*_[The Ruby squad to be exact]_*
4:28 The green hair part disappeared
It went behind the rest of her hair.
I’m pretty sure that the weapons that the gems have are natural, any gem can summon a weapon
Rose quarts: Now you are Free! Tell me Bismut, what do you wanna be?
Bismut: A war criminal!
Rose quarts: hol up
