Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Postmodern Jukebox for the first time, performing "All About That Bass."

Recorded in Switzerland the same day PMJ recorded Creep, one week after Haley joined PMJ on their 2015 European tour, Haley’s first professional tour (post American Idol tour). Also has the distinction of the first time Scott did something he’d not done before, both All About That Bass and Creep were the first time Scott covered a song he’d already covered. All About That Bass was previously covered by PMJ with Kate Davis. Looking forward to Elizabeth’s reaction ✌🏻

Ariana Savalas is daughter of Actor Telly Savalas (Kojak). Re: Cruella Deville.
Ariana has started going into the burlesque end of entertainment. I love her 'buttery' vocals, so smooth. During this tour, Ariana would play the 'femme fatale' role, sometimes going into the crowd where she would spot an 'older' man and use him as a prop, sliding around and beguiling the gentleman. Sometimes she's the host of the show, calling herself a 'Femme-C' and has a wicked sense of humor.
To be honest, all three women in this video have amazing and hilarious senses of humour. I saw five shows during 2015 and they are my favorite set to see live. This roster of PMJ are my favorite "Ladies of PMJ"

To complete the journey with PMJ you need to react to one of their first singers Robyn Adele Anderson (and one of my favorites). Try the song "Thrift Shop" (maybe you want to listen to the original first so you can apreciate how much they change the song) and then try to explain how she manage to find time to breathe during the song. Also you can apreciate the work of Scott on the keyboard which os AMAZING.

I’d love to see your reaction to Haley singing “My Baby Just Cares for Me” with Jeff Goldblum’s band. I’m honestly not sure there’s much to analyze from a vocal perspective, but it’s just so FUN that I know you’d love it.
I don’t see many other people reacting to it though, so it’s either just not well known, or VEVO gets them taken down.

Loved this! As I said in the live chat, PMJ also did a really stripped down version with Kate Davis which is delicious.
My other suggestion for you Elizabeth is to have a listen to Blackbriar. I've just found them and have fallen in love with Zora's voice. There's a great live acoustic version of "Mad Woman in the Attic" which shows her range. They classify themselves as Alternative Metal-Goth...there's definitely a sense of penny dreadfuls about them :) xx

I only recently came across you channel and content. Now as a person who has always enjoyed many different varieties of music, you (Elizabeth) have made me actually love and appreciate it more than I ever could have imagined it. As a person that has absolutely zero musical talent, I do not always understand what you are speaking of. Nor do I always hear what you do, but it brings in a whole new depth to music that I was able to hear, understand, and appreciate.
So I thank you very much for opening up my eyes, well actually ears to this other side of music I now enjoy. I hope you actually manage to see and read this comment, however unlikely it is with all the others here.
A side note, I love how giddy and excited you get with certain aspects of the songs and singers you are reacting to.

I was a bit surprised that as a pro musician that you'd never seen bass for four hands before now.
I love your attention to the little details and subtleties in your reviews. I was never a pro, just a violinst & violist in school orchestas & string ensembles, pit orchestras, etc... a with a smidge of civic stuff, and some vocals in choirs & chorus. Mostly low harmony, so I have quasi-decent relative pitch and know enough music theory to have a rough idea where I'm screwing things up. Sometimes.
I want to say it is pure-D pleasure to watch your music reactions, because of your lovely attitude, expressiveness, and that you catch so many details others miss. Especially from all the musicians, not just the solos or lead vocals.
Thank you for some great content! (I also really enjoy Tea Time. 😁)

You are SO FUN to watch when you do reviews. And I REALLY appreciate how you explain all the little details about how and why vocalist do what they do. I know next to nothing about music and It helps me better understand why l like these singers so much. I've learned so much from you.
This was my first PMJ video and I came upon it quite by accident. I had heard of Haley (mainly because of the controversial AI third place - never really watched the show) but never really listened to her sing. So I'm listening and thinking, "Wow, great voice! No wonder her fans were so upset with AI." But to be honest, while listening to Haley, I couldn't keep my eyes off the blonde to her left (our right). When she stepped up and her and Haley began harmonizing . . . WOW, beautiful! Then Haley steps back and "the blonde" belts "I'm bringing booty baaaaaack!", my jaw drops. "WOW, who is she?!!!" I lost it. All I could think of was, "I need to find out who she is. Does she belt like that in other songs?" And it's wasn't fair because I didn't even hear Ariana , which is a shame.
Found out it was Morgan James. I immediately looked up every song with her that I could find. First was Call My Name, then Maps, and many others to follow. I was so hooked that I listened to Morgan EVERY DAY for 2 years. And I'm not exaggerating as my wife will attest. I'd listen to her on the way to work, most of the 8 hours driving my forklift, and some more still on the way home. I couldn't get enough of her.
Finally, I started to spread my wings and looked up some of Haley's stuff and became a fan - though not near like I am with Morgan. I eventually started to listen to Ariana, too. And I'm sad that I waited so long for Ariana because I really enjoy some of her more bawdy songs. Thanks to PMJ, I've been introduced to many other artists that I take delight in. But when it comes down to it, Morgan is absolutely my favorite. NOBODY gives me frisson like she does.
