- Breaking down the power snatch and going over the 3 main cues I am focusing on during my workout. This workout was 8 singles on power snatch at 70kg and I break down each set and evaluate how the technique was.

Her drills look so f’n good. Impeccable technique and form.
Awesome video, hearing you break down subtle mistakes most people wouldn’t notice is interesting and helpful. Much appreciated.
I recently started CrossFit and I came across your channel. I often watch your videos very closely. The CrossFit coach says that my technique and speed have improved a lot...You have played a big part in this success! Thank you!
love this, the slow mo is super helpful! please do more like this!!
You won't believe how much your advices are helping me with this exercise. I came to crossfit just 3 months ago but i'm progressing quite fast thanks to your tips. Keep up the good work
That was really helpful! your explanations of the cues and timing covered things I wouldn't have known without the narration. Yes, more like this please :-)
I love this video!! Would love to watch more like this from you!!! And if you can break down the jerk that would be super helpful as well!
This was really helpful with the slow motion lifts!
You're so much more relaxed & confident on camera, maybe because this isn't a vlog. It's very refreshing to see you in "sensei-mode". Great video!!
Oh, your gym's looking awesome, btw. It's lit up like a movie set!
For the first time I could see the benefit of using the hips in the transition. Really helped me this morning by allowing me an additional 30 LBS one round Max. Craig Thank you very much. !!! I am 65 and cant get enough of this stuff.
I'm a 60 year retiree... that really enjoy working out... mostly crossfit, i've been watching you lift and really want to learn proper
Technique. So when you slow down the video and explain the movement it really helps.... thanks
I 'm a crossfitter ..after watching your channel I really am trying hard to do these moves like they are supposed to be done ..from the first time I heard that "POP" of your feet I was a believer thanx for all your post
This was SO helpful!! I'm brand new to this, struggled learning snatch today but came home and found this video. It was EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you and please keep doing these.
I really enjoyed the slow-motion and breakdown style voice over. Thanks! Also, that poster (idea) looks really cool. I'll have to look into maybe getting one for my home gym :)
Yes, thank you. Let's see more videos like this one.
I really appreciate the warm up sets along with the slow downs of the working sets!!!
I'm starting to get into this style of lifting & having to teach myself no clubs in my area so very helpful thank you 👍
Техника великолепная!Умница!Браво!
Yes please. Would love more videos like this one.
Thank you Pope! I love these videos. I’m a novice (if that... ) so seeing someone do these lifts while breaking it down is extremely helpful. (Another commenter mentioned collabs, I would love that as well!)
Love the new series :)
This video is amazing! Please do more of that, specially around your struggles around specific parts of the Technique as you improve.
First time viewer to this channel and I must say wow your a beast on the bar! 💪🏽 Great tips as well. Can never get enough knowledge to build on what's already in the kitty💼
Invaluable information! Great new format, please keep that series coming.
I also like these kind of videos, learning a lot!
Great video thank you ! Loving snatching currently. Seems to pop so much better than my cleans
definitely want more of these. fantastic video
I love these videos. I have been learning how to snatch on my own and I have to admit it has been frustrating. Cleans came natural but snatches have been a nightmare!
I LOVE this video! This is so helpful! I’ve been Crossfitting for two years and am trying to make the transition to oly lifting. This was very helpful.
Super useful these kind of videos Pope
Excellent, excellent content and conveyance of technique. Totally LOVVVVVED it!!
Maybe better for your off-season but can't wait for collabs with visitors to your home gym. @MegSquats or whomever, etc.
Excellent tutorial & self critique. Good camera angles as well!
The way u make understand is very nice and very technical
I'm learning how to snatch. Your videos are so well done! Your technique is inspiring!
I'm learning how to jerk ... takes a fast twitch muscle like a but plug popping out to launch towards the ceiling all puckered up...thnx...
Yasss! Can’t wait to see other episode for this series! 🙈🙈
The Best Glutes in Weightlifting

I'd love to see more videos like this - this was fascinating - thanks!
Thanks for the video would love to see more technique videos in the future!
Really helpful video today, will share it with the ladies on my barbell club.
Yeah breaking down the form is very helpful. Thank you
Im a beginner, and when you played the slow motion one where you jumped back i was able to see it after you did it on slow motion! but when going normal speed, it was harder, since not experienced enough, if possible maybe you can do a slow more on the others that you missed? then show a "bad movement" by a good movement in slow motion so others can see what you mean and compare and learn? Really really liked the explanation at the beginning and during the movements and wouldnt mind you doing more vids like this with other movements! Keep inspiring and kick ass!!!!!
Emanuel Pereda You should get an OlympicWeightlifting coach or go to a local Crossfit Box. Better to get real help rather just watching a video.
More of these videos would be awesome.
I just started throwing the barbell overhead recently and everything I do is a dang power movement despite squatting atg with no problem. So any tips on that would be cool.
Liked this analytical video a whole lot!!!

More videos like these please!:)
Best vid since nationals
Great video! Could you do a front squat breakdown one day also?
7:20 thriving despite limitations, that’s inspiration!
Wonderful ❤️
Hey Pope, I have one question about technique, maybe for a next video, or just for here :) do you do hang-work at all? So hang cleans, hang snatches? Or only from the block? We do it sometimes, and I hate hate hate it :D because it takes so much strength out of me to start from the correct position, and when I get tired, of course I stop starting from the correct position :) It is annoying because from the floor, everything arrives in pretty much the good places, but from the hang position it all falls apart :D I guess my question is, can one just replace hang snatches and hang cleans with block work? Or is there a specific reason why hang snatches and cleans are good for you?
Great video. I have so many questions. But for now I'll just ask one. The body you have, would you say it was built mostly from working on your snatch or other average workouts?
Thaaank you!!!
Great video👍How long did you practice basic technique before you were confident enough to add weight ?
👍👍👍👍👍👍more yes please!!😊
I LOVE the slow mos. so helpful. You're lifts are so freaking fast lol
More please! GL at Nationals!
You look great as always
Simp
Good stuff.
Kris10pope you are the best greetings netherlands great respect! ☺
Love this. Thank you!
I missed locking out the power snatch (failed the lift) and the bar hit my head pretty hard. Any tips to prevent this from happening again?
thank you for that kind of video
This might be a stupid question but on a full snatch should your feet and the turnover also be at the same time??
Very good, thank you. I don't think I would have saved the ones you got, but then I am not a pro :-)
Thanx !
