    Excellent LAN set up instructions. We had changed passwords on our router and couldn't figure out how to reconnect the local area network on the printer. Thanks for the quick fix. I only needed the first 2:53 of the video.

    "Could not install the printer driver. Try to install again." That's the error I receive when I click "start". Any idea what could be causing this? Thank you for this video. It's gotten me further than I did before.

    Thank you, I got an Imageclass MF5950dw but my PC Driver can't find the device. I know the printer is wire to the net because I can print from my smartphone, what can I do?

    HELP.... I still having problems…. I can`t receive any scan to my Windows PC. I followed all the steps twice and appeared the next message in my screen: MF Scan Utility is supported by the scanner you are using may not be installed on your computer. Install the appropriate MF Scan Utility, and then perform the operation again. I have a MF642C model and my computer is a Microsoft Surf 3.

    I have problem in the minute 4:11 when searching device list... its not appear nothing for me! then say search by IP ADDRESS...I dont know where is than IP???? PLEASE HELP!

      You will want to make sure you make the settings for your Windows firewall as noted in minute 4:08. If you have done this and still are having trouble, you may wish to contact our printer technical support agents.     Do I need a internet connection in the router to print wirelessly after completing the whole setup

      Hi, Amjath! The router's job in this setup is to allow your printer to talk to the other devices on that network, such as computers and mobile devices. While the software that lets your printer work with your computer will work best with internet access, it's not required.     I have an issue in color scanning as pdf, it comes as jpg in the model MF645CX, why is that? Although the black and white scan comes as pdf!

    This worked on my desktop through successfully test print but when I go through the driver set up on my wife's laptop so she too can wirelessly print from her laptop, the printer doesn't show up to select. I've checked the option on my printer preferences to share the printer but still nothing. I can't be this difficult to wirelessly connect two computers to the same printer. What am I doing wrong?     The hardware is awesome. The software is horrific. I can hook up a HP printer and be working in minutes. I have to take tutorials in order to use an inamgeCLASS printer from Canon. Worse is their app in the Windows store. All it does is redirect me back to the website. A worthless app. Time is money and I have had to waste an hour hooking up, configuring and studying how to use this printer. Canon makes great hardware, but they still do not understand the user experience outside of Japan. HP's hardware is not as good, but their software is flawless compared to Canon.

    Canon imageruner can work in only hotspot. But Cannon Business Print app can work in only wifi. A mobile device cannot work WiFi and Hotspot simultaneously. So, how can I connect both.

      @@jennifer-lynnwhitfield5769 I had problems with mine not connecting to google cloud and had to reinstall. Wouldn't recognize it, no matter what I did, so I went to my router's page and found out the ip address of the printer(funny it was showing as an online device) and copy and pasted that to where it allows to enter ip adddress or search for device...printer showed up and was able to install. Haven't tried printing yet, but I would assume it works.

    Did this; followed all instructions to the letter... still does not work. Like an average American device of late, it seems as long as your taking the consumer's money, the actual part of it working is irrelevant, right?

    I was warned about Canon printers. I've used HP with a PC for years without this installation headache -- just to scan a document! The time wasted was heartbreaking! btw: I am using both a PC and a MAC. : (

    What about if you have no password

      Hi! If you're referring to the System Manager ID and the accompanying PIN, your printer's instruction manual shows you how to set this. Otherwise, if you're referring to your network login credentials, you can use wireless protected setup if you don't have your password handy. Make sure you can physically access your router and that it has a WPS button on it, but don't press it yet. Choose the "WPS Push Button Mode" option shown at 1:44 and follow the instructions on the screen. They'll tell you when to press the WPS button.

      These units first became available in 2018, when 5GHz WiFi was far less ubiquitous. Still, today, most WiFi routers support both 2.5GHz and 5GHz due to the number of 2.5GHz devices on the market. If you need help, don't hesitate to reach out to support at 800-652-2666.
