Daniel takes on a few more Korean banchans for breakfast! It's best to make these at night and warm them up in the morning. My favorite out of these 3 has to be the egg potato drop soup. The combination of broth, silky eggs, mixed with boiled potatoes - very satisfying in the morning! Good clean energy to kick-start your day. Try it out during a weekend.

Love the way you give measurements..
Finger length.
Forearm length.
I-phone size 😂👌
Celeste Maaneet Not exactly “standard measurements”, but very accessible lol
Future Neighbor - Standard measurements are overrated. For cooking noobs like me, these are life savers! Keep 'em coming👍😁
First time watcher here, I love the way you describe amount.
Very understandable.
I find myself wishing that America would do breakfast like this more often. Not that pancakes and all the usual things now aren’t also yummy, but we don’t seem to care very much about balance in our food you know?
Today lunch will be those yummy spring rolls! I graded mine a b at best.
Hey Malone! Nice - happy that you gave the spring rolls a shot. And if you graded it a B, then you did a fine job! Wasn't the peanut sauce quite addictive? :)
this is america and you can eat what you want. traditionally the eggs bacon pancake thing was because these were staples of colonies, pioneers etc.....and people just kept on. eat what you want. one day have a dutch, french, mexican, salvadoran, spanish, german, irish, swedish, or moroccan breakfast. you choose what you eat.
Duske Maiden well said, and that is what I do only because I love having variety in the foods I eat.
americanas467 I feel that way too like I don’t enjoy eating all the american junk even though I was born here. I’m glad I’m asian American but I’m not korean, even though the food is simple, it just seems like so much effort. If I had a personal chef I’d eat korean food everyday lol
Duske Maiden I love Moroccan food! It’s so healthy
Umm, just have to say. If you don't like garlic, you are watching the wrong video! It's KOREAN food! Its like saying I don't like cheese at a fondue party! TOUGH!
Chris C Preach it brother!! 🗣
Still too much garlic! 😂
Tell'em Chris!!!
There are no vampires in Korea....the blood is basically 40% garlic goodness.
@@teerich2011 can't be to mutch garlic
I live how real your channel is. Most cooking vids todsy are so staged and doesnt feel real anymore. Watching you is like watching a friend cooking at home. :)
My kids and I made the potato egg soup and a variation of the mushroom stir fry with an addition of tofu. We subbed with Korean dashi powder to make broth for the soup cause that’s all I had. It turned out delish. My three year old loves watching Daniel videos. And I’m loving your veggie banchans. Please do more!
you have got to be one of the best youtube cooks. amazing quality!!
Arieam! Woah - what a complement! I don't think we're at that level - but certainly loving making these videos 🙂🙃
i prefer garlic over shallot.. im always a huge fan of garlic.. garlic for life!!! the taste is just soooo heavenly made
Your measurement techniques are hilarious!😂 This looks sooo good
Looking yum..yum..am gonna try
Everything looks delish and you make it look so easy to cook!!
These look soooooo good! Must try making them, especially that spinach.
I love anchovy-kelp soup,,, (the soup base/style)
I don't know why people hate anchovies???
Would it massively affect the taste to use a vegetable broth in the soup? I'm allergic to seafood so I couldn't do the anchovy broth. These videos are great! Super informative but straight to the point.
Love your banchan recipes, especially veggies cause i need ideas to eat more veg more interestingly
So excited to have more "breakfast" dishes to try! I would also love to hear your ideas for what to do with the extra rice I always have after making it in my rice cooker. I like to use it for all kinds of things, but could use some new ideas.
Will do Chris! Also one pro-tip. If you cook alot of extra rice - as soon as it finishes cooking, put 1 person servings into small ziploc bags. Pop them in the freezer. And whenever you feel like rice, you can pop them in the microwave for 2:00 - 2:30 minutes. Tastes fresh too!
That's an excellent tip, thank you!
I love eating spinach banchan 🤤 I've consumed more spinach in a month than I have probably most of my life bc of this recipe... (my mom used to make a lot of carrot/red pepper banchan)
Love love love ❤️
So easy! I'm gonna make this for my family!
l love these recipes!!! Thanks you!! Please do more Korean breakfasts :D
Thanks Lauriane - we have some more in mind ;) Will release in the near future
Would love to see your dalkgalbi recipe! Really enjoying your videos overall. Thanks!!!
I just made this banchan and it’s so delicious 😋
Thank you XOXO
Making the soup right now! It is morning here in the UK :)
Good morning Britanita! Excellent - get great start to the day! 😁
I love garlic!!!!
"Iphone size measurement" That fucking made me click the subscribe button ! 🤣
Delicious ...
Order up...🛎 for Pratyusha!! Enjoy ;)
Future Neighbor you need to send those to India ..😜
Man that soup! :P
I have no problems with a lot of garlic in the morning!
This might be a dumb question but are you able to eat the konbu after boiling it in water or is it done once it's boiled?
GREAT VIDEO I WILL TRY THE SOUP :)
I know what I want for breakfast...
I love the iPhone size. Lol
art. food. entertainment. =)
I’d like to know many calories are in this meal 🥘
Please make a miyonkook (sorry, i don't know exactly how to write it), seaweed soup!
Hey Sanda! Your order is served! ruclips.net/video/RQ0Wxrgrp7c/видео.html

where do you buy youe products!!!!
iPhone size measurements just wow !!
I’m so hungry now lol
What if you don’t have soup soy sauce?
everything about the banchans was really good except that i ate them all in one sitting
Cannot believe people didn't like the garlic one, I made it and it RULES!!!!! All of the appeal of garlic confit with probably less of the botulism
I'm so glad I found your videos, they're so simple to follow and absolutely delicious plus I love your humour !
Thanks Jess! A warm welcome 👋 to you to the Neighborhood 🏡
You're pretty good about using your body to measure out the food haha
I loved the IPhone size! ❤️
Your the Male Version of MAANGCHI
Yaaaaas
Why do I torture myself and watch these before bed 😩 (will be making this soon!)
Ashley DeBartolo Hehe we do the same thing! Our default wind-down activity.. though the stomach growls at times 🦁
I'm so glad I found your channel! Korean culture seems to have a healthy respect for vegetables, and the recipes are so simple and low calorie compared to western vegetable dishes (basically drenching anything in cheese sauce or gravy). Eating small plates of nice veggies with rice? Yes please!! 🙏
Hey Maya! Yes, homecooked meals are like this. Rice + soup + few banchans. But of course, lately everyone eats outside! And there, we have our own version of cheese-covered everything too hehe!
Banchan is why I eat Korean food on a regular basis, which is why I love this channel. Btw, when I subscribed, which was only 3 months ago, you all had 5000 subscribers. Nice future, Future Neighbor!
Everything here looks AMAZing!! You know I always like your veggie dishes!
Sauce Stache Thanks Mark!! Congrats to you on another year on RUclips! 👍
keep posting banchaansss! i love them so much
Thanks Tricia! We used to post individual banchan recipes, but I think its nice to see them paired like this as well ;)
this is the best!!!!! It looks so nice plus watching you cook kinda de stresses me out..haha, very ASMR-esque. Please do more of these!
Mang whoever has problem with garlic needs to go back to their coffins! Garlic is sooo good! ^^
Samuel Kim Haha~ it seems that garlic gives many people excessive gas 💨 If thats the case... yea perhaps skip it haha
I specialy love the sent it leaves in your hand when you use it
Having the smell come my pores on a hot day...? I have extreme respect for garlic. Will go as far as 1/3 of my pinkie finger and i'm good! :)
@@FutureNeighbor True but worth it! My favorite banchan in part 1.
I have a korean boyfriend🇰🇷 i'm from morocco🇲🇦 i'm here to learn how to do a breakfast for him😂💎❤
I love korean food! Such a healthy food .. but it needs time and LOTS of dishes .. korean moms are awesome!
I really enjoy your videos keep them coming 😍
Haha yea, I didn't understand how much effort it took to cook Korean food - until I really started to take cooking classes. But to do that everyday for years. Like running a mini restaurant. I guess that applies to all cooking moms (and pops). Its one way to show love - everyday home meals!
I followed the spinach banchan and it was delish! Also, I love how you use vegetable measurements with body parts it helps me a lot ^_^
Yay! Happy that you enjoyed it Bella 🤗 Yea, I think most people don't have electronics scales at him. We work with what we got hehe ;)
It’s easier than measurements like inches etc. Everyone has body parts but not everyone knows measurements
In Indonesia especially Java, we use grated coconut and sauce (chilli and palm sugar) for the spinach, and it's named Urap
Recently found your channel... I love Korean food and seeing it made in such an easy, affordable and fun manner, you've sparked my desire to cook again!! I enjoy the heaps of garlic so keep those recipes coming!
I love spinach banchan. The mushroom dish and soup looks yummy too. These are quick and easy recipes to make.
I'm so happy I found this channel because the majority of the food prepared is vegan or can be made vegan. I really appreciate it!!!
dude hell yeah
TamaKun808 hey you hell yeah dude
roger that Tamakunn!!
I just saw your video .. and as a fellow Korean.. I need to point out that your soup and rice were on the wrong side ㅠㅠ
I was a meat and potato’s type of guy, but you always made such appetising vegetable dishes! I’m finally eating them like my mama always wanted
i like the "difficulty medium" whats easy? A bowl of cereal? More like "patience: medium". This is quite simple.
So much of a process for one person, but it looks fun if you have the time. I'd love to try this soup! I havent tried an egg drop with potato. -
I love the breakfast culture in Korea- here in Europe it‘s always stressful in the morning, I often don‘t eat till lunch or even dinner, just a quick coffee in the morning. But since I watched your channels I try a lot to get up early and start my day with korean breakfast 👍 thank you so much for the videos, we love u
Your reaction to the red pepper was priceless!
So basically
It's small bowls of carbs
Small bowl of stir fry
Small of protein
Hearty soupy stuff or pickled garlic dressing or spicy mix
"I'm pretty good at this" *loud exhale*
Do u have a vid on measurements of your hand??? 🤣
I noticed many Koreans are in good shape and have amazing skin when I visited there. I guess you guys eat a lot of vegetables and chili which is good for your metabolism
Thank you guys for all the amazing recipes you make. I made the potato egg drop soup, I felt like something was missing, the second time I made it, I added about 1 tablespoon of fish sauce as well. It came out really good.
시금치무침 계란국 버섯무침 진짜 저기에 김치만 있으면 딱이네요 ㅋㅋ 잘보고갑니다~~
I like this style of easy to cook food, love it.
My korean journey started with kpop last year... now I want to move to south Korea and live there forever!!! I'm fascinated with the culture and life style. Thanks so much dude. I love learning about anything korean
Esther Francis You should consider living here for a year ;) Also, quite easy to find a local gig teaching English. Would be a nice excuse to switch it up and make your own adventure
Future Neighbor thanks so much for the advice. It's much appreciated. Now all I have to do it convince my parents to let me leave south africa 😂 but that's what i hope someday!!!! Anyway keep up with the awesome work!! I've been making some of your dishes and it's deliciously amazing!!
That's so interesting. Bc you like a country's entertainment industry, you want to leave your country and live in Korea? In terms of job prospects, that'll be tricky bc the only 'foreigner friendly' job seems to be an English teacher or english-korean translator.
thank you for these amazing vids, easy recipes and for not yelling like most of the youtuber-chefs!
I love that you're making these videos because it is solving this massive riddle for me that I had while I was in South Korea, which was: what do people eat for breakfast here?
Haha, I think most people in Korea don't eat breakfast. Everyone barely getting into their office chairs by 9:01- haha! Well maybe, a quick ramen or Korean Street toast!
As a german who recently started watching k-dramas on Netflix this channel is heaven-sent! Thank you so much for the recipes. I can't wait to try them at home 💪
You guys are soo awesome! I feel like starting my own Indian-Czech-German cooking channel after watching how cute your videos are! :D
Hey!! Pompi - give it a go! Don't think about it - just pull out your cam and do an episode on one of your favorite recipe !! Send us a link when you do ;)
I would watch!
hi hi! thank you guys!! I have a face for a radio though!! :P
U cook very well and carefully......as well as u explain it smoothly....everyone can easily understand😊😊
Love your videos. I would like to make all the recipes, love Kati as well. Keep cooking. 👨🏻🍳👨🏻🍳👨🏻🍳👨🏻🍳
The recipes are as amazing as this guy!! The extasy for the pepper 😂
+1sub ;)
I'm going to try the spinach salad tomorrow for breakfast!
Ohhhh 감사합니다 for these recipes. I was looking for Korean breakfast explained step by step. I'll try it. A new French subscriber. Happy new year 2024, Bonne année, 새해 복 많이 받으세요 😊🎉
Can you do some that freeze well? I'm kinda shocked you know that spinach reference
@Future Neighbor - I found your site because I am trying to teach myself how to cook Korean food. My wife is in the Army and we are moving to Korea next year.....and my American skills will be too expensive in Korea....so I am planning to eat how the locals eat.....if I can teach myself. Your video is awesome....keep it up.
Really enjoy your videos! How did you learn how to cook so many Korean dishes?? I'm a Korean mom in my 40's living in the US and I must say you are a MUCH better cook than me! Hope your channel becomes a success like my other favorite Korean food RUclipsr, Maangchi. Please keep doing more videos and hopefully a Q&A soon!
Thanks very much for your videos! Your Banchans and all recipes are so delicious. Greetings from Santiago of Chile! You're awesome
I love your videos!!!! I've learned soo much! Im very grateful for your work. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
It's the end of 2017 but this man is living in 2037. "iPhone size kombu." I'm subscribing.
Right on time for breakfast in France. Thanks guys!
Ahhh you are in France! How about we do a trade: Our 3 banchan dishes for... (1) nice, crispy baguette + (2) fresh-out-the-oven pain au chocolat + (3) some cheese (and throw in an espresso?)... haha! Enjoy your day Sirine 🤗
Future Neighbor you know what? I'm so tired of this kind of sweet breakfast! (except for the espresso) and I sure would trade my parisian breakfast with yours! I'd love to say hi if you'll come to Paris one day!
Wuaooo all of that for a breakfast 🤗!!! Then I can have lunch. I’m trying to do this breakfast Korean style. But, then I felt sooo full . Anyways great inspiration and
Every time I cook Korean, I pull up a video and cook with you. I've only made the soup and spinach dishes. I'm making them again today for my breakfast.
Dawg...I feel so freaking fat. I could probably eat all of that in one sitting. Then you said it could feed 3 to 4 people! I felt too embarrassed! LOL
Your measurements hahhahaahhahaha iphone sized kelp. Im dying
Love the no meat more veggies breakfast. Love the spinach and the potato egg drop soup. Yummy yummy delicious
oh I have an exactly same bowl with you ^^
So glad I found this channel; I got to spend 14 months at a small US Army Airfield about 15 km SE of Munsan and I had a blast in Korea! So much good food and not enough time! Hope my local Asian market has the ingredients you mention.

I know Koreans who would have slapped you for throwing that Crown away because they clean it and they eat it and they love it! Those are important than they tell you to always buy them on the spinach and if they can be cleaned then you clean and you eat them! My hands are badly nerve damaged and they hurt all the time too! That is why I speak of caregivers because I can't take care of my home anymore and I used to keep it beautiful and very very clean but they don't care it's not their house they don't live here. Watching your channel makes me happy! :-)
Great video. Gonna try! Boiling and squeezing spinach takes away a lot of nutrients doesn’t it? I would just sauté the spinach for a minute till it wilted and then throw in the seasonings/toppings!
i like to eat garlic raw even in any curry or in any fry..
ok..
im an Indian (bengali).. so we eat garlic in our most of the dishes..garlic, ginger, salt, spices, may be 4 to 20 kind of spices in a dish.. thats what all Indian dishes.. we eat alot of spices... and yeah turmeric.. turmeric is a necessary thing in our dish...
Just curious...some people like to re-use the juice that you squeezed out of the spinach and add it to broth for extra flavor in soups, or freeze in ice cube trays and add to whatever you like. Do you re-use your spinach juice? And if so what?
