    Love the way you give measurements..
    Finger length.
    Forearm length.
    I-phone size 😂👌

      Celeste Maaneet Not exactly “standard measurements”, but very accessible lol

      Future Neighbor - Standard measurements are overrated. For cooking noobs like me, these are life savers! Keep 'em coming👍😁

    I'm so glad I found your channel! Korean culture seems to have a healthy respect for vegetables, and the recipes are so simple and low calorie compared to western vegetable dishes (basically drenching anything in cheese sauce or gravy). Eating small plates of nice veggies with rice? Yes please!! 🙏

    • @FutureNeighbor
      @FutureNeighbor  7 лет назад +10

      Hey Maya! Yes, homecooked meals are like this. Rice + soup + few banchans. But of course, lately everyone eats outside! And there, we have our own version of cheese-covered everything too hehe!

    I find myself wishing that America would do breakfast like this more often. Not that pancakes and all the usual things now aren’t also yummy, but we don’t seem to care very much about balance in our food you know?
    Today lunch will be those yummy spring rolls! I graded mine a b at best.

    • @FutureNeighbor
      @FutureNeighbor  7 лет назад +13

      Hey Malone! Nice - happy that you gave the spring rolls a shot. And if you graded it a B, then you did a fine job! Wasn't the peanut sauce quite addictive? :)

    • @duskemaiden
      @duskemaiden 7 лет назад +13

      this is america and you can eat what you want. traditionally the eggs bacon pancake thing was because these were staples of colonies, pioneers etc.....and people just kept on. eat what you want. one day have a dutch, french, mexican, salvadoran, spanish, german, irish, swedish, or moroccan breakfast. you choose what you eat.

      americanas467 I feel that way too like I don’t enjoy eating all the american junk even though I was born here. I’m glad I’m asian American but I’m not korean, even though the food is simple, it just seems like so much effort. If I had a personal chef I’d eat korean food everyday lol

      I have cooked some simple dishes, 애호박전, 오이무침, egg rolls, some seaweed soup and they enjoy pretty much everything, we are from Chile but surprisingly people here don't eat seaweed, we have something similar to 미역, maybe is the same thing, but there is just a few chilean recipees who no one likes it, now i cook our local seaweed in a more korean way and my family loves it. It would be great to see more seaweed recipees. I really like your chanel :)

    Love your videos, Daniel! Could you make a recipe once with "dupes" for certain Korean ingredients? I live in the Caribbean and have no Korean markets anywhere near.

      +Future Neighbor hahaha! A dupe is like a similar product or one you could use to replace it.

      Perhaps we will do a proper Chuseok Korean table setting next year!! That would take forever... but be pretty epic! Taking some notes. Thanks Crux
