    Daniel takes on a few more Korean banchans for breakfast! It's best to make these at night and warm them up in the morning. My favorite out of these 3 has to be the egg potato drop soup. The combination of broth, silky eggs, mixed with boiled potatoes - very satisfying in the morning! Good clean energy to kick-start your day. Try it out during a weekend.

    Love the way you give measurements..
    Finger length.
    Forearm length.
    I-phone size 😂👌

    I find myself wishing that America would do breakfast like this more often. Not that pancakes and all the usual things now aren’t also yummy, but we don’t seem to care very much about balance in our food you know?
    Today lunch will be those yummy spring rolls! I graded mine a b at best.

    • @FutureNeighbor
      @FutureNeighbor  6 лет назад +13

      Hey Malone! Nice - happy that you gave the spring rolls a shot. And if you graded it a B, then you did a fine job! Wasn't the peanut sauce quite addictive? :)

      @duskemaiden 6 лет назад +13

      this is america and you can eat what you want. traditionally the eggs bacon pancake thing was because these were staples of colonies, pioneers etc.....and people just kept on. eat what you want. one day have a dutch, french, mexican, salvadoran, spanish, german, irish, swedish, or moroccan breakfast. you choose what you eat.

    My kids and I made the potato egg soup and a variation of the mushroom stir fry with an addition of tofu. We subbed with Korean dashi powder to make broth for the soup cause that’s all I had. It turned out delish. My three year old loves watching Daniel videos. And I’m loving your veggie banchans. Please do more!

    Would it massively affect the taste to use a vegetable broth in the soup? I'm allergic to seafood so I couldn't do the anchovy broth. These videos are great! Super informative but straight to the point.

    • @FutureNeighbor
      @FutureNeighbor  6 лет назад +1

      Will do Chris! Also one pro-tip. If you cook alot of extra rice - as soon as it finishes cooking, put 1 person servings into small ziploc bags. Pop them in the freezer. And whenever you feel like rice, you can pop them in the microwave for 2:00 - 2:30 minutes. Tastes fresh too!

      Ahhh you are in France! How about we do a trade: Our 3 banchan dishes for... (1) nice, crispy baguette + (2) fresh-out-the-oven pain au chocolat + (3) some cheese (and throw in an espresso?)... haha! Enjoy your day Sirine 🤗

      Future Neighbor you know what? I'm so tired of this kind of sweet breakfast! (except for the espresso) and I sure would trade my parisian breakfast with yours! I'd love to say hi if you'll come to Paris one day!

    Every time I cook Korean, I pull up a video and cook with you. I've only made the soup and spinach dishes. I'm making them again today for my breakfast.

    Dawg...I feel so freaking fat. I could probably eat all of that in one sitting. Then you said it could feed 3 to 4 people! I felt too embarrassed! LOL

    So glad I found this channel; I got to spend 14 months at a small US Army Airfield about 15 km SE of Munsan and I had a blast in Korea! So much good food and not enough time! Hope my local Asian market has the ingredients you mention.

    I know Koreans who would have slapped you for throwing that Crown away because they clean it and they eat it and they love it! Those are important than they tell you to always buy them on the spinach and if they can be cleaned then you clean and you eat them! My hands are badly nerve damaged and they hurt all the time too! That is why I speak of caregivers because I can't take care of my home anymore and I used to keep it beautiful and very very clean but they don't care it's not their house they don't live here. Watching your channel makes me happy! :-)

    Great video. Gonna try! Boiling and squeezing spinach takes away a lot of nutrients doesn’t it? I would just sauté the spinach for a minute till it wilted and then throw in the seasonings/toppings!

    Just curious...some people like to re-use the juice that you squeezed out of the spinach and add it to broth for extra flavor in soups, or freeze in ice cube trays and add to whatever you like. Do you re-use your spinach juice? And if so what?
