Daniel is back again... with a few more breakfast banchans! The first banchan is a dish that all Koreans kids know very well. It's Korean sausage (more like patty) - that is filled with pork, minced vegetables and tofu. It's a popular side dish for Korean-stye lunch boxes (dosirak). if you have kids, try making it for them!
The second is a dish that I have been eating alot lately! Its mungbean sprout + bacon mix. It's very easy to make. And the combination of oyster sauce with sesame oil is perfect! Seriously perfect!
Try it out and add either to your breakfast rotation :)

"It's like when rock bands break their guitar. I smash my tofu." 😂😂😂 I'm dying
Pretty much the same thing 🤘
If you put the sesame oil in before the oyster sauce, the oyster sauce will slide right out of the spoon. Give it a try!
Gale Coffey, Thank You!!! I've suggested this too. From now on when we see sauce or honey go in before the the sesame oil we must use the cooking power force and beam it with our mind forces over to Daniel and Katy!
Yes! Tends to slip my mind though... 🙃
I tried this trick and my world has changed. Thank you!
Banchan videos are my favorite!! Can't wait to try these
Glad you are enjoying them - Cheers to a better breakfast! 🙌
My high school had a culinary program. Food made by students, for students! It was usually pretty good stuff, too. Expensive, though, so I almost never went because I never had cash! There was no other lunch program, though-- bring your own food, fork out for the culinary program's food, or mooch off your friends, those were our options.
Really? Dang that school sounds pretty nice haha. When I was in HS, the cafeteria would offer sushi rolls from time-to-time. But it was so funny, as it was really expensive and kids didn't want to share. So you would see kids eat like half of the roll as soon as they got it ... and then walk over to their group of friends. Easier to defend against mooching haha...
I am so in love with these Banchan videos. I lived in South Korea for a little over a year and fell in love with the food. I miss it so much! Your videos have really helped me recreate dishes I used to eat on the reg over there. Thanks so much :D
Mannn these videos make me so happy. Sometimes I follow your recipes and they turn out awesome! Other times I rewatch your videos many times and just fantasize about the next time I'll cook something delicious with your guys' help. Just a lot of love from here guys! Keep it up
Awesome, awesome! Comments like this make me happy! Let's keep cooking to-geh-duhhhh. 🤟
At my house we often make a breakfast dish with mung beans that have been slightly sprouted - We stirfry it with onions, tomatoes and chillies and a bunch of spices. Then we eat it with bread. Super super yum
I really like your channel because you show us the real every day Korean people eat. Various ideas for us to try every every day.
"one ugly carrot."
how dare you?! *whispers to carrot "dont listen to him you're bootiful." 💛
I've been watching all your KOrean Breakfast videos and it all looks so healthy, filling and lovely, I just wish I could eat it, but I'm histamine-intolerant. One day I'll just spend a weekend trying to recreate those recipes low-histamine-style.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful channel, I'm totally new to Korean food and your vids are full of great recipes and tips ❤
I live for the way you talk, it’s fun and refreshing! These look so good, can’t wait to make them
These are so easy to make! i loved this video! I made it all today and my kids love it! Thank you!
Love Korean food and you guys make it look even more awesome... great video! 😊
Thanks Nancy!! Appreciate the comment :D
Wow I just found you and can’t stop watching your videos! Love how you measure the ingredients with your body parts and cell phones. Every recipe is easy to follow and looks delicious! Can’t wait to try them!
Damn, back in high school we had our school cooks, these ladies just made us food, staples in my countries(Lithuania) diet, like potatoes, wheat etc. just healthy dishes, and they had the unhealthy food ( pizzas, bagels, etc.) on another side of the canteen, students were split, a lot of them ate the freshly made meals, and others bought bagels. I stopped eating there, after developing a lot of allergies, and just not eating at school. I like my own cooking the best.
I got curious about Lithuanian food after your comment. Doing some Googling now :)
Future Neighbor It's very starchy!
i am loving these breakfast banchans series!! 😋
Another great video! Love the new recipes. Our school served horrible pizza slices, sandwiches and some days fries and such. I just bought my own lunch during break time, and so did most other students. Supermarkets were a few minute walk away =)
Followed your recipe for the sausage. Made a large batch for my son's breakfast during school days but they were so good my husband and I also ate some. 😅 Big time saver, delicious, and healthy!!! Thank you! :) 🤤☺️
The Korean sausages are my favourite banchan! so good
Yea! We go through bags of those during the week ;) I like how they pop in the frying pan.
Actually enjoying a Korean breakfast while watching this. I made the oyster mushroom banchan from your “Korean breakfast banchan II”...so good, and fried rice with leftover smoked sausage, onions and egg. Going to try those patties this weekend, but instead of pork I’ll use some of the homemade ground turkey I made last week. Thanks for the recipes!
In Spain they serve the typical meditarranean food. We usually had a first dish of beans, or soup or any Hot plate and then we had the seconds with fish or meat. Sometimes we had salad instead if soups and things like that(if it's summer or Spring mostly) and to finish we have some fruit or yogurt.
That sounds amazing.
Second that, that sounds pretty amazing.
Love your breakfast banchan videos! Simple and delicious. I'm trying to move away from sugary Western breakfast, thank you for your recipes.
I love your humor. Its so much fun. Thank u.😄
Thanks for sharing your recipes 👌
I grew up on Korean food. But I’m watching you because you’re entertaining and so funny 😂
Thank you for these videos.. as a korean college student, i crave easy ways to make korean food in my dorm apt~ Thank you!!!
I made a bunch of rice with nothing to eat with it lol. Made these meatballs with turkey and added sesame oil and ginger. So good!
Yes! I am so happy you're making another Korean breakfast barchan video! :D
My mouth is watering! Can't hardly wait to try this!
Gracias por el video..
Y que sabroso aun más aprender a comer esta deliciosa comida KOREANA con los chopstiks..
I love these breakfast banchan videos!! Thank you for your hard work!
I am a high schooler in the US, but my school is fairly international. So, we have a variety of food, sandwiches, burgers, salads, pastas, and international foods. The soups, stews, and Indian curries are really delicious!
I'm so addicted to your channel! You have a great personality as well!
I love your videos~ So cozy to watch!
아침부터 만두소 빚는줄, 시간이 넘 걸리지 않나요?ㅋㅋㅋ 암튼, 동그랑땡 예쁘게 잘 빚으시네요. 사랑 받으시겠어요~^^
Mmmmmm. Looks so good. I wanna try those. Thanks
Ok but i love the way you narrate what you are doing, you are hilarious!!
When I was in school (I say that like it was forever ago, it was only two years lol) we had Papa Johns everyday, Panda Express on Friday’s and Raising Cane’s on spirit week events. Then we had regular stuff like burgers, spicy and non-spicy chicken sandwiches, the usual. It’s pretty okay food, I’d say. Not the healthiest, but kids love it lol
Yess, I went through a long phase making bacon with bean sprouts every day. I know, they aren't mung bean sprouts but they're more difficult to get here. Nowadays, I love frying beansprouts and adding soy sauce with sesame oil, maybe even a bit of Chinese chilli oil too. So good!
So many videos!!!! I love it 😭😭
Your humor is amazing!!
Awesome video, Can't wait to make the tofu and pork sausage patties!!!!
Thank you for making these breakfast banchan videos! When I was in Seoul breakfast was the most confusing meal to me and when I asked people everyone just said they had coffee for breakfast lol. Also more veggie heavy banchans please!
Lol... yea sounds accurate. That or some street-toast. Or maybe some ramen at a convenience store haha.
Looks absolutely DELICIOUS!!
You gained a new subscriber 😁
I like your voice, cooking, and how you explain everything, you don't make any second boring.
Keep it this way👌🏻
I just love your breakfast banchan videos!!
Don’t ever stop making videos 😭❤️😛
Hello, Future Neighbor...I have been watching you for months in the US.....now I am in Pyeongtaek....and your videos and guidance is even more valuable. You're funny .. I just started learning to cook korean food .. I subbed on your channel.. Like your vids keep it up..
that last sentence xD i like that chuckle when he says cheesy stuff and then immediately regrets it
excluding the bacon it would be such a great diet banchan! Love ur videos as always!
Thats' right :) You could also replace the bacon with mushrooms!
Ohhhh, this looks so good, even though i don't like meat i have been salivating so hard. On top of everything i am on a diet- going to watch the diet banchans... Great video as always.
Can't wait to try making this! thank you! I love your videos :) 감사합니다
I go to school in Utah, which is the healthiest state in terms of obesity and stuff, and the most popular thing is to either pack lunch or get the salad, and the salad has pita bread, egg, cheese, and your choice of dressing.
Ooh hablas español!!!! Recién me engancho a tu canal y me gusta!!!
Just woke up, and now i can watch you! Looks yummy, sadly i'm vegetarian but still looks tasty!
Love your channel keep up the good work
Blissful BTD I'm veggeterian too but I often follow his recipes and replace the meat with mushrooms or tofu
Helsic en China I use TVP, Shittake mushrooms, additional tofu or beyond beef grounds.
OMG, I am so hungry after watching lol. As also thank you for sharing the awesome recipes.
I'm a tad bit late but in my high school, its not fried as much. There's pizza hut on fridays but aside from that it's generally either store-bought or homemade. There's a bunch of baked stuff but my school is super small so its probably different than other schools
That's like my favourite kind of videos, a video would only get better if Katie comes in and spice things up with her sense of humour
I will give her a nudge to come back out! Will tell her its from Luiz!
Wow! Didn't realize how much your channel had exploded. Congratulations!🎉🎉
made your curry rice recipe again today :) I love all of your recipes! You are doing amazing job!
Haha nice weronika! 😛I got some leftover curry paste in my freezer too. Perfect for midnight craving haha.
Just found your channel, as an American that recently got into Kdramas, I’ve been looking into more Korean culture and even (very slowly lol) learning Hangul. I’m a foodie that can’t eat hot peppers because of an allergy, so a lot of the food is off limits for me, but I still see so many things I want to try, and try to incorporate into my meal options. These breakfast ideas are wonderful! I’ll subscribe and look forward to all the dishes without chilies I can try!
On a side note: as soon as you said “Numero dos”, I was like “are you in CA?” And then I heard about the chimichanga and was like “definitely in CA” lol. Wondering I’d I’m right (as a Californian lol)
Ilov your breakfast so much and all ingredients are available hear in the middle east thank u for Egypt
@Future Neighbor how many meals do you do in korean and what time you do it? In Spain we eat very very late. Breakfast at 8:00/09 some light meal or coffee at 11:00 am, lunch at 14:00/15:00 some coffee or tea at 17:00 and dinner at 22:00/22:30 (I hear that all that meal and so late is not good and I want to change for more healthy habits)Thank you
Super deliciosos y saludables
I loved that "Número dos" ♥
The bacon dish is gonna be my celebratory dish for graduation morning. No joke :)
Oooh! Your graduation is coming up Erika! An early congrats to you 🙂🎉 (in case we forget!)
AW! Thank you!!! :) You guys are amazing :D
I love the breakfast banchan series. That is how I stumbled onto your channel the very first time and I was hooked! This episode was the best! From squeezing tofu udders to eating rice in a coffee mug! I just realised something though. Do Korean not eat ginger? I have never seen you using them.
At my school, we have culinary and the lunch is made by the students... it’s actually very good!!
I will definitely be trying the donggeurang ddeng; thanks for the recipes!
So thats how you spell it in English! Thanks DH haha!
It's awwww good...
Tannnggg 😆😆😆 love your channel!!!
Watching these before sleep so I dream about awesome food :>
Moo-oo! Dan-yul, you kill me. So funny!
🐮MoooOO Lover!

Welcome 🤘to the Neighborhoood Scott! You gon have to join us in the kitchen soon.
Currently living in Korea and am loving these videos, I feel like I'm actually getting the most out of the local markets now! Also totally get what you mean about smashing tofu, I made mapo tofu last night and it's such a satisfying feeling :)
That's awesome! Happy to hear that we are cooking togeh-duhh. Yes, I think it will add to your Korean experience!!
THE BEST CHANNEL ON RUclips ♥️😂
Yummy sprouts stir fry
the coffee cup was genius!
Why are your videos so good?
When I was in school in the UK, it was all healthy home made food like vegetable pasta, spaghetii bolognese, sweet and sour chicken, etc. The most popular meal was grilled cheese paninis tho, I felt like the only one eating any vegetables at times haha
Really? Dang, that sounds pretty gourmet... You had it good 👍
Omg you’re hilarious! I’ll be making the patties for my kiddos :) thanks for sharing!
my school gets a catering service, sodexo- it's alright, theres some variety so if you dont like the entrée they're doing that day there's other stuff for you. I think their services have "tiers" for what kind of food they make and I've always felt cheesed that our rival school pays for a higher tier so it's always more delicious 🙃
i love watching your videos! :)
I'm in high school but i live in Australia so it's different... we don't have school cafeterias, we have a canteen which sells wedges, burgers, salads, fried chicken, lollies, etc
I’m so hungry watching these Banchans videos 😋
They've introduced actual good noodles at my school in the UK :D
I love this channel. They are both so funny, and the recepies look so good OwO
You're so deadpan but it's honestly hilarious! Everything looks beautiful!
I love your videos!
