I was number 66 like and had a 66 bug when I was stationed at NATC Mllington in Tn. in '76 .We had so much fun with that car and it would go almost anywhere .Bought it from a little corner car dealer in town .We called him Honest Abe .

no more burgers for me. Haven't had one in years but after my last health episode that means never again. Salad with green lettuce and lots of other vegetables nuts and stuff no dressing and lemon with pepper for dressing is all I get.

Hey Man! @ 1:25 what's goin' on with those rear wheels? I've seen bugs like that before, but don't know/understand why someone would do that.
That's camber 👍😁. Everyone has their own tastes
The rear wheels don't go vertically up and down with the suspension - they travel in an arc. It's just a characteristic of swing axle suspension. When you lower a swing axle Bug, you get negative camber like that.
@@2BugsandaBack So its modified that way for nothing other than looks? I cant see how you could keep tires on it for more than a couple few miles.
@@keysersoze1296 It's modified for ride height - the camber is just what the suspension does when it's lowered. There are problems with tyre wear and the wheel bearings are lubricated with oil from the gearbox. On very low cars that oil has to travel uphill in the axle tubes and the bearings can run dry.
I can't comment on how long tyres/bearings last because I don't run my cars that low.
It does look cool though!
