Thank you so much for the video. This helped me fix our 2005 Sequoia. It was starting and then dying after like 1 second but we could usually getting going on the 3rd or 4th time. Did this for a few weeks and then it it would be okay for a while. But then it started dying while driving while at a red light, etc. Took it into the shop and of course it wouldn't do it for them. This happend to my Skoda after the battery died, we jump started it and it kept cutting out, local mechanic tried to as booster pack and the same., got towed to Limerick main dealer, while I was talking to the manager about it a mechanic "moved" the car, aka he has good booster pack. Turnes out the ECU and fuel pump is sensitve to low voltage. Ars 250 euro for the tow. The main dealer didn't charge to clear the ECU fault code.

@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage Yeah, the auld memories aren't the best so we'll probably spend a few hours unplugging everything until we hit on the right one. I'll have to put a sticker on it for him. 😁 You'd definitely know that time was put into the intro - lovely design on the car and look of the logo generally, nice timing on the cog rotation and the name sliding in, syncing with the sounds of the windy gun, then the knife slice and the shimmer to finish. When you retire from the wrenching, you'll have a career in graphic design/media ahead of you, very professional looking. Nice one. 👍

Useful information, thank you!!
Thanks Vincent 🙌👍
My brothers 2010 tundra is doing that but only intermittent. He replaced the ignition switch and it's still doing it. Any ideas?
really helpful gerard would love you to solve my issue as its a ford focus 1.8 zetec s model and star/stop button, heres the issue its start fine and drives and couple meters down road at junction when put clutch in to go from any gear down to like 1st gear it dies and i have to constantly keep putting clutch in again push start button for it to get a little more down raod or any junctions to cut off on me randomly, very frustrating as looked at all types videos and yours seems be closest cause yet but would be intresting if i can get a video to show you :D
Excellent experienced knowledge shared once again, many thanks.
Appreciate you saying those kind words Paul. Thank you :)
In my case
I unplugged the fuel pump and let the air come out
Then it started properly
Great video, I was curious I had a U1024 pop up on the scanner. It's a VVEL control module. Car starts and slowly dies later. Any thoughts? Thank you. Its for a 08 infiniti g37
I’m getting this with my 2014 Qashqai it’s had the air, oil and fuel filters replaced
The best....This worked. God Bless
I have an opel/vauxhaul corsa lite that does exactly the same but even with that unplugged is just dies what can be done?
I'm having that exact same issue right now with a 1997 Plymouth Voyager and what I seem to do to fix it is I removed my glove box area actually I'm removed my glove box and I was able to view my heater core housing unit and what seemed to be I guess maybe a problem is the cord to my heater core was pushed in that could be why it was stalling out when I was started I would start it and it was solo immediately and what I did is I pulled the cord close to the what looks like to be flush with what it was before it was pushed in and I started it and it worked now today my wife is in the city 1 hour away and she phones me and she says the van won't start I said well try what I told you because I think that's a air flow problem and I think I just found my video that is my problem thank you so much if anybody else can help me out great thank you I will post a video if you want me to my starting and stopping actually maybe I'll post it anyways
have had the same issue changed with oem part, and problem still persists, no other error code, has been kept with all regular maintenance schedules
Please were you able to find the issue ?
whta about those without a MAF sensor?
i've encountered a ford focus it has no MAF, and i've been searching for the issue,
no fault code by the way, and that makes it more difficult to trace
Thanks for the video
It’s very helpful
i literally was stranded and u were a GODSEND!!! subscribing of the strength 💯🫡🙌🏽💪🏽

You saved me. Thank you.
My Toyota 1az fse noah engine will turn off immediately after the engine check light comes on during normal acceleration, what should I do to get the problem fix
mine has the same problem like this and solved by changing the mass airflow sensor!
Worked for me. Thankyou.
Nice one 👏👏👌👌
I have a 04 hilux with similar problem . Engine dies sometimes at idle she not showin up any fault.
This video was very helpful 👍
you didn't really explain where to find the mass air flow sensor because where you found it on your demonstration vehicle is where my my master break cylinder reservoir is located.
You are the man!!!!!man appreciated
Having same issue on my 05 highlander
Nice tip Ger, might come in handy for the Dad's Avensis sometime and get him home. The new intro is class btw 👍👍
Always a good one to keep in the back of your mind, only issue is trying to remember it when the time comes 😂
Thanks for the feedback on the intro, I spent so much time to get it how I liked it so it's great to hear feedback ❤️❤️🙏🙏
@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage Yeah, the auld memories aren't the best so we'll probably spend a few hours unplugging everything until we hit on the right one. I'll have to put a sticker on it for him. 😁
You'd definitely know that time was put into the intro - lovely design on the car and look of the logo generally, nice timing on the cog rotation and the name sliding in, syncing with the sounds of the windy gun, then the knife slice and the shimmer to finish. When you retire from the wrenching, you'll have a career in graphic design/media ahead of you, very professional looking. Nice one. 👍
@@twostroketom very kind mate thanks 🙏🙏🙏😊😁
Great video you saved me brother
Disconnected MAF sensor but no difference. Engine fires up then rapidly dies.
is yours manual transmission? did you get it figured out?
Will try this next time my engine won't start, thanks
Well I saw you say try this but I didn't understand what to try.
I've heard vdo has a high failure rate, it was once top notch
Not sure to be honest mate, I know the new part has a 2 year warranty for the customer so she is covered in that sense 👌
Poor quality batches definitely happen though, we see it over and over again on all makes and models with certain sensors failing
I have a Toyota etios 2013 same problem auto electrician says a diagonostic checks needs the be done via a Machine.
