The first season just did it wrong it had too much filler and went on for too long so the show basically killed itself. I am enjoying it way more now with the 12 episode seasons
The pouty duck lips emoticon is probably one of world trigger's feature. Also with the medical emergencies happening to the author world trigger is somehow a lost gem (if you read manga or watch the first 50 of the first anime)
Yuma may very well have the ultimate black trigger, the ability to learn from an opponents attack and copy it, being able to combine said attack with a different ability making it more versatile and less predictable, and the ability to multiple the abilities by seven fold if not more. And it has been shown to learn from other black triggers. I mean damn, how do you beat something that takes your moves, changes them, and make them stronger. Cause I sure as hell don't know.

Don't forget the B rank Wars arc was a training arc for everyone (especially Yuma) and the other members in Border for the upcoming Expedition arc where there are going to be countless perils and Black Trigger users. And especially remember that Yuma can copy Triggers with his BT. He has been in border for a while now and I'm sure he's copied Scorpion and other Triggers his BT didn't have. Imagine Yuma using scorpion with boost x5, he will have an insane range (more than Kage) and he will need to use his BT to defeat other BT users like Viza where they to fight again.
This anime is the best. Peak Power System, Got a lot of bad ass and Genius characters is the kind of anime I always look for. No romance. No jealousy, just pure friendship willing to help each other to achieve their goals.😊
World Trigger is actually a pretty solid 9/10 Show, But Osamu should've atleast gotten alot more stronger with the training he's done, He literally bailed out because of Losing a leg in S3(No spoilers) while the Chad Yuma lasted a few minutes against (No spoilers) with half his Torso blown off.
You have to take into account trion loss. Osamu bail out because trion lost from 1 arm + 1 leg and he has a lot less trion compared to Yuma or Chika or Hyuse plus their fighting style. Osamu is a shooter with raygust, the nature of shooter trigger makes it so it runs through your trion faster especially compare to scorpion and kogetsu user (explained around the first few arcs of ss1) which is why Osamu has to rely on strategy. If you want logically. I know it's been a big gap between the ss1 and ss2, but within their timeline, it's been several months at most and Osamu isn't athletic at all so him not being obviously stronger and faster makes perfect sense. However, there are subtle change, when he first hit B rank, he couldn't even hold Raygust booster completely still, now he is able to utilize it normally. And the strategic front is there too. And the show makes it painfully obvious that you don't simply become good just because you train, it takes time, it could take more or less depends on who you are but it still does.
Osamu has definitely improved with skills he is more proactive in attacking and doubts himself less not like before. He also has grown as a leader by being able to strategize and read situations. He also matured from a guy who just wanted to score points for his team to one who supports his team with the wire strategy. What is so good about world trigger is that just because you train doesnt mean you suddenly can play with the upper ranks like in video games and in other shonen anime. It takes a lot of time, as Kitora mentioned Osamu has about 2 years to even be a decent B Rank. He has lesser trion than all his teammates which in turn means if he sustains big injuries he is bound to bailout sooner and faster. Hence he accepts that fact and weakness and developed the wire strategy to still be supporting his team even in his absence.

That is the inevitability of both progression and creativity. At some point every possible combination of things will be done if people live long enough or a civilization I suppose. That and people wont live enough to go through all the genre of whatever they like that has been made in the past so there will be not enough profit to progress in research or development in entertainment industries once there is no more stories or inventions that change life or our perceptions of the universe anymore. I mean we already can't go through all the shows out there in 1 genre that we consider modern before dying of old age possibly tens or hundreds of times not even counting non official youtube videos, animations, guides, etc. let alone all the decades old shows that used to be considered the best.

Overwhelm it before it can learn and adapt is how.. but that requires basicly 1 shotting yuma, not easy
