Obishima actually did surprisingly well against Kuga, his words are serious when he says she'll get stronger.

She's legit a badass, even stole a point from Kuga. I don't think Kuga was messing around when he said she's gonna be strong.
Yeah even though she was trapped she still read the movements of the pinball that’s actually insane.
Yeah, it feels like a "you can't beat me...but you do make me work for it."
One interesting thing to note about the pinball is that it requires both active trigger slots to use, kinda like Ninomiya’s full attack mode. As such, it reduces your overall ability to defend against attacks and probably works best when you’ve got cover from a teammate. Like the wire zone. Genius.
Works better when you have an Escudo, 😉. I think this was the plan the Neighbors came up with.

@@SamuSeen if only she could really shoot people. However, her character growth this season has been impressive. I think she will surprise us in the season finale.

You could tell she was probably panicking a bit there, finally stops the pinball, and then realizes she’s lost track of Kuga. She goes to counter, but is one step too late. She got dunked.
Exactly, good play by play. She was completely absorbed and lost sight of the enemy.
@@TheGlobalProfessional that is yumas key fighting style. All of his little tricks and stuff is meant to cause mayhem allowijg for him to assassinate people. Even in a 1v1 kuga's goal is to bait the enemy into making a mistake then finishing them off.
She also lost track of yuma not just because she was focused on stopping the pinball, after stopping the pinball she was wary of the scorpion projectile transforming, that's why Yuma showed her the scorpion projectile previously
Its crazy how Kuga be creating the meta.
Without any context, this scene kinda makes Yuma look like the antagonist.
The music too is like a darker version of the main theme song

It's like that a lot with him. It's the same with his propensity for going for sneak decapitations. I see it as a subtle reminder of his different, neighbor/child soldier way of thinking that was more pronounced in the first few chapters/episodes. While he's gotten better at acting like a normal Meeden border agent in general, some of that cold, dispassionate nature still comes out while fighting.
Just like that one scene, when yuma and chika got down, and survived the explosion, the looks, it kinda looked like they were in a war.
Kuga's ''You'll get stronger, I guarantee it.'' has the same vibes as Zenon's ''It's not that your weak, I'm just far superior.'' His Scorpion Pinball was amazing, showing his creativity and the weapon's versatility. I also like the small detail of the grasshoppers disappearing whenever they get hit.
Well this one is less hurtful. She knows she’s not on the same tier so kuga is just propping her efforts up imo
I was thinking more of what Oji told Osamu when he beat Osamu: "It's not that I'm underestimating you, you just aren't that strong."

The animation on world triggers fight are really top tier...Esp when the gunner was battling the captain of Ninyomiya squad. Can't wait for the final ep

It's actually insane that she can keep up with Kuga at all, considering he's got a lifetime of experience with real wars.
She probably has more experience with Border triggers.
Let's not forget that Hyuse even compliments the fact Border can produce such effective soldiers so quickly. Having an environment where individuals can learn and improve without holding back without threat of death or injury does are optimal training conditions. Hyuse and Kuga are professional soldiers while most border agents have only been active for a few years, and many still lead separate lives
@@louiesatterwhite3885 if only border was made global, meeden would become a powerhouse with all the new man power and potential aces.
@@agentc7020 border becoming global has a few roadblocks. One is that producing trigger technology is very expensive, and another is that border has a very limited amount of non-biological trion from only having a mother trigger.
@@louiesatterwhite3885 the mother trigger being the biggest roadblock in my opinion because a border alligned with various goverments would gain massive financial stability.
I love innovative the neighbours are, both Hyuse and Kuga come up with such useful (sometimes very situational) uses for the Meeden triggers, which makes them a great threat.
The Meeden fighters on the other hand are extremely efficient and effective with their triggers aiming for high skill.
The whirlwind mid-air from Ikoma was insane.

If you were given a tool and told how it works and when to use it, you will often just do that, but if youve used other tools in various ways you are boind to find other way to use every tool.
what makes it better for me is that normally I've seen this trope in reverse: the originators (in this case, it would be the neighbors) developed a strict regime on how to use their tool and the good guys (ie. humans/meeden) develop creative uses.
Love how lore wise it makes sense why it developed the way it did. The neighbors don't have a strict tech/trion limit and can expand creatively how to use their triggers plus the number black triggers they have push it so. Meeden is limited in tech/trion and has created a way for its fighters to develop efficient and effective strategies.

I find it hard to believe production was stopped for the show at one point. This is an awesome anime!
That's due to the author's health. There is just not enough source material to run long productions.
I think it was originially intended as a long running anime. But whether it was the authors health or just the times have changed, i enjoy seasonal a lot more. Pacing wasn't bad in Sea 1 it was bearable but the pacing since they switched to seasons has def improved the pacing a lot.
I always love how must of the agents with experience have an emotionless face like theu know they can't get hirt or hurt someone else so they are compleatley focus in their battles
It’s less that they know they can’t get hit/hurt, and more so that being emotional in battle can cause mistakes you wouldn’t normally do.
Considering how tight the competition is, all it takes is one mistake to end your battle, in the fight shown here had she used her astroid on the grasshoppers instead of blind firing at Kuga, she would’ve stood a chance at fighting longer.
Hyuse in his battle against like 7 others survived for so long because he was dealing with every attack to the best of his ability, forcing them to whittle his body down.

You can disable pain receptors in Trion bodies as well.
0:13 the sound design for the bullets impacting shield, sublime.
That sound is prolly based on one piece but hey its toei so it makes sense
The sound the whole episode was on point. Listen to the blade clashes, foot movements, wire trip, recoil off the wire, then it all drops out for the bullet charge up sound, launch, shield activation, and final impact. It was skillfully done.

ive only seen a couple clips of this series, but every time it looks like kuga just effortlessly coasts on everyone. seem pretty dope
It's because mostly of his opponent are soldier on training or with not much experience, and Kuga has been in battlefields since he was a kid. Since he was 6 i think
He got clapped by ninomiya in 1st season tho

@@LeelosAdventure Kuga is strong but he does still get relatively wiped sometimes… I don’t feel Killua ever got completely wiped. Also Kuga isn’t really an assassin with crazy hidden murderous intent like Killua 💀
if you pause at the right frame specifically at 0:46 you will get the hint as to how kuga made that scorpion bend the way it did

I love how similar Kuga adapted the borders triggers to be quite similar fighting style he has if he was to be using his black trigger and can't wait to see how he fights if using his black trigger
He uses a small twin blades trigger in the flashbacks so he's probably right at home with Scorpion

Underrated, just like this anime.
First Hyuse with car slam and now Kuga with shuriken.
Maybe the third time Obishima fights a neighbor the attack WILL actually come from the ground.
@@SamuSeen tbf the car slam was a distraction and not an attack. Trion bodies are near impervious to non-trion damage, as shown when a chunk of a building falls on Osamu early on in the show and he's mostly unphased. Only exception to this is Kuga's normal body, as it trades durability for the unique trait of regeneration.

@@stephanemathres932 Konami's pretty much confirmed to be stronger than Kazama though. She reached number 1 attacker before by beating him. The Tamakoma guys kinda just slowed down on their ranking stuff after a while.
I like how you can tell Kuga feels kind of bad about this. It's a cheap trick to be sure, but he needs the point, so he apologizes to her afterwards.

One for the blade and one to make a very small rail for the blade to travel on

This was one of 3 moments that I wanted to see the most. The others being the Chika mall bomb, and the Ninomiya showdown.
All the teams were focused on defeating Hyuse, but they forgot Tamakoma 2 has another Ace attacker. The White Nightmare , Yuma Kuga.

It wasn’t that they forgot it was the fact that hyuse was in their immediate reach so taking him out before he met up with everyone else would be a big advantage

The first half of this B rank war was literally killing off Hyuse as he was one of the main threats in the war but literally forgot that Yuma still existed. It's like they thought that Hyuse was stronger/more dangerous than Yuma. Which might be true and I love it!! This entire season has just been amazing!
Didn’t forget, it’s just how the positions ended up. The teams took the chance to take out one of the strongest opponents in the match. And they were right to do so because he held out for a long time.
Yea Sorn right nobody forgot about the threats it's why Chika was marked by yuba squad so early and the other teams were already wary of her sniping and bombing. Why hyuse was immediately ganged up on and Nino. Squad having each other backs against Osamu ambushes during chaotic fights etc etc
This really is the best thing about world trigger. No standing around, they see a moment they take it. No power ups, no BS. It's just fantastic
Hyuse was spawned too far from his own team. And near other teams. He just had a bad luck of the draw. If Yuma spawned like that. They would of done the same to him.
Remember Yuma has grasshopper tho unlike Hyuse he has very good mobility so he wouldn't be the one trapped he would just cut his way out like a ninja
Kuga is so innovative i dont know how he come up with this stuff even though he w neighbor but still

Kuga fighting style is so insync with his black triggee. Always on combos which is really good. His skill to adapt is pretty high.

Yeah you can as long as you tune your trigger. Tomakoma has experimental triggers of weapons not used by other agents. So if you wanted a long sword trigger they could make it.
You can. Yoneya uses a spear version of kogestsu bc he has low trion as well
@LivingInZeroZen ah so basically a shaft for the spear and kogetsu itself as the spearhead to compensate low trion
@@somebody7431 precisely. Yoneya specifically wanted an attacker weapon that had long reach but didn’t use much trion. A rankers are able to get customized gear

That guy calls everyone one with random nicknames, Obishima is called Obi-Nyan by him, for example, or Osamu being called Ossamu, or Oki being called Okki, or Hyuse being called Hyuston, etc.
