I am a nurse. Never ever be to proud to clean someone up. Could be you lying in that bed someday. I treat every patient as if they're my family member.
You're a great nurse
@@gracytoyschultz4416 Indeed
SAME.
You sound like an amazing nurse
Jeremiah Parker you so sweet
No we had a patient who had flies in her vagina. The first time they cleaned her up there was flies flying around the room😱😱😱
Joel Munoz how did flies get in there?!
@@girlscott411 laid eggs of course. probably in food which she inserted into herself...or something else disgusting idk

I think this is my new worst fear
@@christiannataylor2735 mood
Yeah Kat, you should be called out. You don't sound like a nurse I would want to have.
Sara Gagnon she doesn't deserve to work there, she's that type of lazy ass people letting others do her dirty work
Yeah Kat sound lazy AF! I don't want her as a nurse.
Sara Gagnon shut tf up u coudnt do better as a nurse
@@Urmomisdele I don't care what she had. She is a nurse and is bad at it. I am a nurse and I would call someone out and report them to the Director of Nursing for treating me that way. Hospitals are be eaten or stand up for yourself. No one wants to do something nasty, but it is your job. No one is going to push it all on me. We can tag team it together and get it done in 5 mins or I will stand there and ask for help until her ass comes back. Its disrespect.
@@kukguroki4179 SOOOOOOO true
Dear Kat.
I’m a nurse too. Named Kat.
But like, why u gotta do your staff like that though????
Not good
As another nurse Kat, I agree. No one's gonna wanna help you. Its that er shenanigans
Dear Kei,
Chill. I do that to her too. We try to make the most out of the full ER. I do that code brown to her too. 😂
PS. Joey the coworker of Kat.
Joey B Hope she ignores the hate people in the internet always like to judge.
Joey B omg rlly? yay she got karma
@@joeyb6753 unbelievable! you guys are disgusting to the profession. Get your lazy asses up out of the chair and get the job done. I've been nursing for over 30 years and I still do what I need to do. Seriously we in the profession hate lazy nurses like you guys
kat is the typical filipino daughter who didn't wanna be a nurse but was forced by her parents so now she's just there for the money lmfao
what i was thinking. 😂
R B HAHHAHA
R B yup
Exactly what I was thinking lol
My grandma with me!!!
That nurse Kat didn’t even have a horror story. She just told a story about how she didn’t want to do her job and so she avoided it all together why her coworkers cleaned up the mess. She’s an embarrassment to all the hard working nurses out there.
They are out there. They are lazy and and entitled . I love it when they get fired. They make work miserable for everyone else. You are picking up their workload.
She’s the kind of nurse that will drop on you 4 of her patients when you already have 6 so she can only do two. They are out there! Lol what’s truly upsetting is that my friend told me a same Filipino girl does this at her hospital and now in the LA county they’re going to not hire Filipino nurses cause either some of them don’t want to leave and they are past their retiring date and others like her are constantly getting told on at the main office that they don’t work. It’s honestly sad for other people who do want to work and actually take their job serious.
Stop being mean to kat
Apple Pie :3 as someone who’s studying to be a nurse, it’s not being mean to tell someone ‘hey! You’re not doing your job’
Claudia mora im sorry
as a nursing assistant, i can verify that kat is the type of person you hope you never work with
Nurses who hold the cheek while you wipe are worth their weight in gold.
Amanda DuVall yeah
I agree.
But you’re a CNA. That’s your job. To clean ass. Chill.
@@_bffr ........ its also the nurses job contrary to popular belief
I had a nurse like Kat once. She made me feel upset and I was alone with her for a lot of time. I was bedridden and stuck with this nurse. I would cry when she was rostered to look after me because she was exactly the same as Kat. People with that type of attitude don’t deserve to be nurses
Nurses and doctors should get paid more
Anti Trumper what’s that I’ve never heard of that
Chanduli Cooray • they’re the ones who (generally speaking) collect blood for testing, transfusions, or research. My cousin is one.
Nurses yes, but I feel docs do get paid enough
My mom's a nurse she gets paid $10,000 but like half of it get taken away for some reason which makes it $5,000
@@laurennatalini2577 omg where are yall living? Nurses around where I'm at ar making roughly 75k USD with a 4-year BsN degree

K. Ranay mannnne straight factss
That’s literally everyday like nobody wants to see Jake Paul and tana get married
FACTSSSS
Vincent1324. People still talk about this jake Paul stuff? 😂
You should do an EMT version of this. I’ve ended up in some crazy situations in the middle of my night shifts.
Same here. It's always amazing to see what people can do to themselves and still survive. Especially those people who are seriously injured and still joke around
Do tell
I went into labor Friday night/Saturday morning, the emt that was with me told me that weekend nights were usually, drunk drivers/car accidents, drug overdoses, domestics and bar fights. Unless it was rainy, then homeless people faking illnesses to get a roof over their head. He told me that I was a great change of pace lol
My mom was a nurse, and she once being a poor victim for being treated by other nurse like Kat...it's not good. My mom gotta do her job and when she finished the job, the other nurse like Kat suddenly got the credit. That kinda pissed me off
Most of the nurses we meet throughout our lives are and will be genuinely kind and empathetic. There are definitely ones that give you the “I don’t want to be here cause I’m too good for this kind of work and people” vibe. I think we can all definitely agree that if you don’t have the empathy to feel what the patients who need your help are going through and how much they need your help physically and emotionally, then don’t take on the job. Because if you can not feel for the patients, you can do more damage.” It takes a very special individual to help patients.
Do one with paramedic.
hell yeah
Yes! My fiancé is a paramedic and I love hearing the crazy stories he comes home with!! Story time every day😂
There's not enough bandwidth in the entire internet for those stories.
its corona rn
What was Kat's horror story?
Her story just 'I didn't want to clean up'😂
As the last one stated it has to be your passion to do nursing because you cannot pay me enough to do what nurses go through. God bless you all!! 🙌🏼
I started as an EMT with an ambulance before becoming a nurse. I saw a motorcyclist who lost a leg in an accident, a 15-year-old girl who hung herself, a 3-year-old boy who was beaten to death by his mother's boyfriend, several people who were shot, and other things.
Kat: the patient pooped
Literally every CNA: yeah that happens every day.
Such a great and wonderful feeling to know that your nurses respect what's happening to you, and would never make fun of you. Did that Kat nurse say what hospital she works at? Cos don't get sick there.
she works in e.r.. if youre sick and dying, drive past that hospital. go to the next one even if its far away
H.I.K.W.Y.A. You do know almost every hospital has an E.R ... it’s the emergency room and not a specific hospital
Having Kat as your nurse is the horror in this story.
I could never be a nurse I’m so glad there are other people in the world to deal with this stuff😂 y’all got some big hearts
The fact that I already know girls that will be like Kat in my nursing classes....
Usually they are in nursing to marry a MD. I'm an old nurse and we had them in my training class, lipstick always and skirts an inch higher than everyone else's.
@@joywebster2678 oh for sure, you can easily tell who is there for a mrs degree
I am a nurse in the operating room. I had a patient who wanted me to read his "positive affirmations" to him while he was under anesthesia having his prostate taken out. I happily obliged. Me and the CRNA start reading the list about an hour into the case. The list included phases such as "Please say: the nerves to your penis are healthy, strong, and look terrific! your penis will look and feel exactly the same! the surgery went so well you get erect before you know it! your pelvic floor muscles will be so strong you will be continent before you know it!"
we laughed our assess off the whole case which was about 4 hours
theironythatismyLIFE HILLARIOUS
theironythatismyLIFE that is amazing 😂😂
Positive affirmations for an operation?
😂 😂 😂 💀
😂😂😂😂😂😂man this made my day
A few years ago I had a nose bleed so bad that my eye started bleeding and the nurses saved me from possibly bleeding to death and kept me as calm as they were able to. I have so much respect for them
I don’t know but nurses are probably some of the MOST or not most under paid jobs! They’re really underrated...
Rns and lpns are fine CNAS ARE SEVERLY UNDERPAID and those are the ones that are the hands on. That's why nobody wants their job.
5:00 the nurse was talking about toes falling off.
Buzzfeed: hey watch this video of an animator and cartoonist draw spongebob memes.
I had a diabetic patient with an open infection on his foot. The patient was refusing surgery and was being treated with IV antibiotics. I was doing a routine dressing change and one of his toes fell off.
I wouldnt want Kat To be my nurse. Or even want To Work with her
Nurses are awesome! 🥳 thank you for all you do 😍
Ya you're a female, easy for you to say 🤣 A LOT of female nurses do some WILD things to innocent defenseless unconscious male patients under anesthesia. Most commonly going up to unconscious male patients under anesthesia and lifting their gowns up for NON MEDICAL REASONS but to laugh and gawk and sexually humiliate them then further sexually degrade them by gossiping about their genitals even to other women outside the hospital. I could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on with stories.
Do you have a son, father, brother, Husband? If they are even remotely good looking or physical fit and had surgery when they were under 60 yrs old, just know that when they were still sedated post surgery in all likelihood 20 female nurses shuffled in and out of the Recovery room probably and hovered over him and giggled and gawked and sexually degraded him while he played there unconscious defenseless and COMPLETELY exposed. And in rare cases snapped pictures of his genitals to spread around. If you want to get the low down on what REALLY happens to YOUR male loved ones at the hands of female nurses when they have surgery and are put under anesthesia let me know I'll tell you the stories. But, most women for some ODD reason dont seem to care that their sons and fathers and boyfriends get sexually abused and sexually humiliated by female nurses, its REALLY odd but %99 of women just brush it off and dont seek to care that other women(female nurses) sexually assault their unconscious sons and brothers. Its VERY VERY VERY strange how women are cool with it
lol kat why be a nurse when you don't even wanna do the job it entails wtf
딸기우유 sadly, where I’m from a lot of people are forced to become doctors and nurses for money
As a former CNA turned med student, I can say with confidence that Kat is the definition of someone who shouldn't be a nurse. I give nurses a ton of credit because they are willing to get their hands dirty. But my glorification of nurses immediately stops when they talk about how they screwed over their coworkers or more importantly their patient.
You can tell Kat’s never been a CNA!
I’ve heard the term “code brown” refers to a hazardous spill. I guess every hospital has different codes for different events.
Even as a med student I’ve already seen some crazy stuff. The hospital gets wild sometimes 😁
Retired ER nurse here. Had a elderly patient walk in complaining of foot pain. Took his shoe off then his sock which held his big toe. Needless to say that poor man ended up losing half of his foot due to gangrene.
When you can‘t even clean your patient up even if its a „code brown“ you shouldn’t be a nurse.I feel sorry for every patient who has been touched by a nurse like kat because i can imagine that she was not very friendly to all of them
Oh No Horror Stories I Am *SO SCARED NOW* Istill love this Channel.. 🤣🤣🤣
Retired 30 yr RN-- having a bariatric, iddm with cdiff & multiple wound dressings who is either confused or combative or both.
Can you guys do first responders or just firefighters
A patient in our unit used the call button cord to hang himself. We were not able to revive him. The only good part of this situation was that he was not my patient.
I clicked off someone else’s video to watch this💀😂
THANK GOD FOR EVERYONE WHO WORKS IN THE HOSPITALS I COULD NOT DO IT
yeah these aren’t even bad. my dad is a nurse and has thousands of stories. here’s my favorite one:
so my dad and his good friend had just started working at a hospital and were, obviously, new, and the other nurses liked to mess with them and freak them out. there was a super bad motorcycle crash which required a helicopter to pick up the guy. my dad’s friend went up to the roof to help out, and when the helicopter landed, one of the operators tossed him something. turns out, it was the motorcyclist’s leg. sadly, he didn’t make it, but damn, that’s certainly one way to freak out a newbie.
Don't forget about hospital maintenance men. We deal with code brown ALOT of the time, especially when repairing toilets!-John in Texas
I can't be the only one thinking Doni looks a bit like Ryan Bergara, right?
i thought so too

@@jilaneg Oh my god yes!
Kat 2:11 is the nurse that all other nurses try to avoid and gets the evil eyes.
That toe story my mom had a patient like that and that persons toe actually came of ons day when she was changing the dressing 🙃
Its amazing that a lot of places are giving free stuff like, free McDonald’s breakfast, lunch, dinner. Free starbucks. My aunts a Nurse.
for the people going off on kat, it's not uncommon to see that. I 'm a MA and I don't do vomit, I am a bad emetophobic and I share the same shift with a couple who don't like poop so something along the lines "i'll take to the pt vomiting if you take room 115 code brown" is said. we basically do a trade off, so a favor for a favor like kat said.
@@MeghanF93 I'm not going to argue but whether im in the wrong field or not it still doesn't change the fact that it happens.
I was pretty young working as a CNA working for an agency in a mental institution. I took a break outside to smoke. My last smoke. I had enough time to run to the gas station and get a new pack. This really good looking guy comes out to smoke and we chat. Nothing struck me as off. So when I said I would run to the store for a new pack he asked if he could ride Along. Zero hesitation I said yes assuming he was a staff member. So off we went to the gas station. He saw someone across the street he knew and went over to say hi. So I left thinking he will be back. Dude looked more sane than the doctors. I get back alarms blaring all over. Escaped patient. The one I just drove to the gas station. This is what nightmares are truly made out of My knees buckled. When my shift was over I left in panic attack mode. Never went back. He did go back. Phew. I almost quit Healthcare all together
The corona is there worst nightmare right now god bless the Med workers
An RegN one patient required suctioning not mucous but maggots. The flys going in an out the nose were the sign.
Street people covered with old skin, lice and dirt. The stench was overwhelming. To clean them up I added proviodine to the bath water. That helped remove the dirt but also removed the odour
Producing bacteria. They smelled much better.
Do psychiatric nurses next!!! I work as a psych tech on an inpatient unit (currently in nursing school) and my stories from being there for only a year are 10x more interesting than these!!! Been kicked, slapped, punched, pushed, called EVERY name in the book. I’ve had pts pick their stitches open and write on the wall with blood. Come on give us better stories 😭
Juliann Alyce please tell me at least one 😂😂
i’m NOT a nurse (but hopefully one day i will be one) but i was taken to the hospital on a stretcher and i remember i was in the same hallway as a man who was yelling at the top of his lungs with a cop right next to him saying “shoot me! shoot me! i see your gun just shoot me and kill me already!” the guy was also in a stretcher and covered in what appeared to be blood and my best guess was he was on something, but that was pretty scary :O
My dad shared me his horror story:
It happened once when I had a lunch break at my work. At the first floor of the office there was that kind of dining hall. I'm pretty sure that many offices have that thing, but anyways... For the Skype workers, all food is for free in there. So, there was a fridge, ya know, the one that shops often have (with a glass door, i mean). Basically, workers could just eat anything from that fridge, as I already said, it was free for them. The foods in there were things like milk, butter and stuff like that. The warm food came from the kichen. As I LOVE kefir, the first thing I reached from the fridge for was indeed kefir. And as many of you may or may not know, you have to shake the pack before opening it. So I shaked it. But *man,* I regretted it. The previous person had appearently not plugged the cork on very well, so it flew off, and kefir splat all over the floor. I can't even imagine what would have happened if someone would have stood behind me. Oh, and of course, everyone in this room were obviously staring at me. *Worst moment of my life.*
My mom is a nurse and she was one day in the ER working at like 2 am and she was one night working hard (as usual) she is an amazing nurse and at 2 am she has a girl come in with her mom and she had blood COVERING her face like everywhere and her neck and her shirt. EVERYWHERE. And it turned out she had been running and ran into the families shed that had a tin roof. And split her head open completely. She had to get stitches but that was not the worst part. The mom didn't call 911 or even hurry to te hospital she just told her ok I am working in something for my job right now can you wait like 15 minutes and then we can go to the doctor. The girl was screaming and crying (this was told to my mom by the girls older sister) and the girls older sister was like this is not good. And she took her to the hospital without telling the mom. She got there and was so scared rlthe girl was nearly unconscious from blood loss. The older sister was so nervous and was worried for her sister and mad at the mom. The sister and the other nurses said that my mom saved that girl's life.
Those dolls are insane!! They’re SUPER EXPENSIVE!!
My mom is a hospice nurse at the VA and one time she had a patient in his 70s and he had dementia so he couldn’t remember anything. My mom came in to check on him and he said, “Man your beautiful!” To her and she tried to keep it professional bc this is an old man and her patient (obviously) and she just says thank you and continues to check out his chart. She gets closer to him bc she had to move his IV out of the way and he grabbed her and kissed her right on the lips! 😳😳
Kudos to nurses, I know I couldn't handle their job.
“we’re going somewhere!” She reminds me of Robin Williams
Kat had the short end of The stick when she wanted to choose her own job
I'm not a nurse but a surgical tech and oh boy do I have stories 👀
3:55 IDK why everyone is hating on Kay when she explains that because she made them clean alone they made her do other tasks and basically called her on it all shift. Also I really love when people go on BuzzFeed videos in the side that they can judge all of these professional people on 3 to 4 minute videos. Like you can just tell she’s a HORRIBLE nurse based on what? The one minute that she had to tell her story?

I love when people tell about their horror stories but at the end they still say they love what they do bcs it’s their passion, because it’s true, even though you do what you love, bad things will happen no matter what, you might meet bad people, but at the end it does not make you love what you do less, you just learn to accept the shits that will follow
I thought that was Ryan in the thumbnail smh

Kat is that nurse who doesn't know anything about her patient, and when things go south, she will tell you patient was fine five minutes ago. LMAO
These were hilarious. All people who work within the medical/healthcare field should be paid very well. They help save lives.
The nurse who just... slapped the toe back together, Jesus 😂
before everybody argues about doctor and nurses their both great they both save lives and they need each other end of story.

What are they? lol
Kat is the nurse you don’t want to work with. I did that once but it was justified because there was these two new nurses that acted like they owned the place and refused to do anything productive, but that gave them an attitude adjustment real quick.
