So the game's sound test is programmed to skip entries (probably because the majority of them are garbage and not sound data), but it also skips sound test #7, the last song featured here. Use these game genie codes to make #7 selectable: BAHA-AAHL, A6HT-AABG
Holy shit. Thanks. I only saw this game in arcades maybe 3 or 4 times and have been trying to remember the title for the past 30 years. Never knew it was ported. I was scrolling and saw that artwork and was immediately like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always thought the title had Warlords in it or something. Seriously, thank you.
This sounds so close to the arcade original with some minor instrumentation differences but overall it’s almost a perfect recreation of the Sega arcade classic with my favourite tracks being “China Before the Revolution” “The Present Day” “Europe in the Middle Ages” and “Brave men’s theme”
Just here to say thanks for these uploads. I love listening to Megadrive/Genesis soundtracks sometime and your channel quickly became a go to for that fix.
Hell yeah, Gain Ground! The background plot for this game is really neat, and the gameplay decisions of the order to send out characters made each game unique. Brave Men's Themes and the Present Age are my favorites!
He’s back!!! Dustin your channel is amazing!! I think I’ve listened to over half of your videos! Genesis music is the best ever!! Thanks for all you do!
This is pretty great. I passed this game by as a kid as it's kind of dull looking, but the gameplay is unique and the 8 and 16-bit ports are both solid. Glad you're back on the beat, Dustin! If you are taking suggestions, then mine would be more Bo - Phantasy Star 2, Super Daisenryaku, Space Harrier 2, Columns 1.
This game and soundtrack are sweet. Good to see you back posting stuff, the Super Street Fighter OST is awesome too. Should put Shining Force 2 on your list to do when you have a chance
Brave Men's Theme kills me every time... the instrumentation is tolerable at best but the composition is divine, it almost brings me to tears, i absolutely love it. The ps2 rerelease sounds better on a technical level but the pacing of a couple lead channels still makes me fall back on the original...
The story is surprisingly very interesting. I wonder why this game never got any recognition past the Sega disk drive. It's definitely original and it's core gameplay is very fun. Why wouldn't anyone build off of this?
Why were sequels never made for this game? It was quite good but seemed like there were many potential improvements as it was just the first attempt at this kind of game idea.
@@DUSTINODELLOFFICIAL alright, I know this isn't the best sounding soundtrack, but I request that you do an upload for Super Street Fighter 2. That soundtrack could really use the decent real hardware upload, especially since the only uploads of that soundtrack with any decent views are these awful emulated recordings where the PSG is unbearably loud. Pretty weak OST, but there are already some lower quality OSTs on this channel so it wouldn't stand out too much.
I wish you would step bending in towards your youtube corporate overlords by placing ads in the middle of music tracks. But, I’m guess I’m not the one who the uploaded the video. But, if I were, I would just place them at the beginning and the end IF I needed them to be included.
I don't do this. My channel is not monetized. What happens is the rights holders to the music can elect to enable ads on my videos and they usually do. Sorry, but I can't do anything about it. RUclips is going down the toilet.
This game and its soundtrack needs to be more popular
Facts bro. No-one even mentions it on those top 10 Genesis videos even though it is there easily. This game is awesome

....That is one hell of a backstory
Especially for an action game from this period.
They pulled that out of their backsides for the home ports.
Sometimes for console releases the plot is different (like with Chelnov/Atomic Runner).
The main theme is a classic but I also like the added present day track a lot. Door of space-time as well.
Modern era has my favourite theme.
Maybe the melancholy aspect helps.
X2 bro
I LOVE the present day theme. Such a vibe.
For me it's the best
For a theme not present in the original arcade version it's top tier.

This game was an amazing treasure to 6-year old me.
Very unique game and excellent soundtrack! Europe in the Middle Ages has always been my favorite track on this one. Thanks for taking the time man!
Игра и сейчас удивляет, потому что напоминает современный indie roguelike. Можно врываться, порога вхождения нет.

At the time this game was pretty awesome, I don't really like it as much these days but I still play this awesome soundtrack often.

I've played the SHIT out of this game, god dayum
It's kinda stupid and silly but a fun romp with a friend

amazing OST
0:01 is fire AF. 🔥🔥
até hj lembro q o mais brabo desse jogo era o robocop kkkkkk mas os q eu mais gostava de usar era o viking arqueiro e o samurai.
