Gotta love it when you just use the starter characters of the game to absolutely destroy all waves. The single shot gun dude is busted against all floor enemies. If they are higher I just use the spear guy.
Only got to play Gain ground on the Arcade cabinets a handful of times. Awesome game when i had the chance to play. but i still remember when i got the Sonic's Ultimate GENESIS collection for the ps3 and gain ground was on there i was so hyped. I played an unreal amount of it, this theme in particular has been stuck in my head since i was a kid. I used to boot up Gain ground and let the soundtrack play. listened to the music on loop while i did homework or clean. Still haven't beat it since that final level is ROUGH but god i love this game. Gain ground and it's soundtrack will always have a special place in my heart

I thought this game was slow and boring at first but the more I played it, the more invested I got in it. quality stuff.
I don't think I realized how good Gain Ground's soundtrack actually is.
I know! Especially when it’s from a real Yamaha sound chip. Emulated versions just don’t cut it.
Have you heard the music for the Sega Ages 2500 remake of Gain Ground? It's awesome, and they made an outstanding remix of this track.

For some reason this game is at collections, emulators but i never seen anyone talk about this game. Damnit underrated things.
It's a shame really, it's a good port and super fun to this day
