Just adding to the much deserved comments, How to switch to the auto mode was not explained in the Honeywell manual(at least where I could understand it). Your video pushed all the right buttons !

Not sure. I’ve since replaced the switch with a Kasa wifi switch I can easily program with my phone.

I didn't use kasa for this switch only because they get off line sometimes and seeing its my outside lights I didn't want them to have any problems coming on or off. No wifi needed to use this so reliable is spot on 100%

Embarrassed to say that I've lived with these switches (x 2 - front & back door exterior porch lights) since 2007 without knowing how to program them. The instructions that came with the switches were incomprehensible - countless times I tried...

*** I have one helpful suggestion: using the 24 hour clock from the beginning of setup makes it easier to program.

I couldn't figure out why the switch wasn't working properly. I followed all the steps, except one. I did not do a factory reset. After watching your video, I thought what the heck and did a factory reset and programmed the switch. It worked I don't understand why, but when all else fails, try a factory reset.
Ditto for me never commenting on a RUclips video before, but this the best explanation I’ve ever seen. You left NO questions unanswered. Would be interested seeing a switch that somewhat follows daylight/dark timing, or a switch that could be controlled wireless by phone app.

just bought this RPLS730B unit. installed it, programmed it successfully, all good.
this unit can store 7 programs, i already put 2 programs. the manual does not mention how to tell the unit whether to run on program 1 or program 2. can anyone help ?

It will run whatever program you set the time to. Once you set it up with a time it will run at that time and day.

I think I got it programmed again. Only thing different with mine, is when I pushed the button to change it from manual to auto, mine still says, ON/is flashing OFF. It’s reversed of what urs shows. My lights aren’t on outside so I don’t know why ON is staying on and OFF is flashing. 🤔 I guess we’ll see if it works later.

@@micah.80665 ok so when you turn the light on outside of the hours you programed.
So let's say it's 2:pm so it would say Auto off but if I push the button to turn it ON it will flash ON letting me know that I have turned the lights on using the switch. You will see off letting me know it's not running in auto mode that I have turnd it on. So If I want it off then I turn it off with the switch and you will now only see Auto OFF because it's not time for them to be on....
Now I would say that just the opposite will happen if I was to do this when it's ON in Auto mode because it's dark and I have the lights ON at night.
Let me know if this helps
One more thing is you might have the am/pm wrong.
Buy if non of this helps we will figure it out.

Nice video, thanks for posting. How do you switch between programs? For example how do you switch from program 1 to program 2?
Hit one of the buttons inside or the lid. Whatch the top and press the button again it will move to the next program.
@@FloridaFamFive I tried this, by hitting the lid it turns the switch (light) on and off. Each button inside has its own function. Hitting the MIN changes the time, day changes the day, etc. When I hit program button it starts the cycle to enter or change a program. Which button do you press to change from program 1 to program 2?
@@jeffreythatchermusic2997 when you set up each program they will just run at the time and day you set them up to run.
@@FloridaFamFive This is confusing. What if I have two programs, one to turn the lights on everyday at 8:00 pm and one to turn them on everyday at 9:00 pm. Maybe one month I want them on at 8:00, and another month at 9:00. How do I select between the two programs?

It will say pgm 1 when you set that at what time you want it should come off and on at that time you set. Other then that it doesn't say which one is on at that time its on .

No its not and it doesn't light up. See me I don't want to have it light up and I perfer to change the time myself its supper easy to do that
I have two programs on a 7 day cycle, but it doesn’t goes on the 2nd program, how do I get to run on the different program on auto?
Go to your 2nd program and make sure to put it on auto. This should work. Let me know if it works. We can try something else if that does not fix the problem.

How do I select a particular program to run (P1 to P7)? Say I want to run P3, How do I do that?
go to what program you want to run say program 3 put in an off time and on time
@@FloridaFamFiveI have programmed on/off times for all 7 programs, how do I make sure that I am running a particular program. Right now it shows I am running P6, how do I change that to other propgram?
@@mindinterceptor did you set each program and put a day you want to run that program?
@@FloridaFamFive P1 to P7 have all days of the week set. Each program has different on/off times to account for different sunset/sunrise times throughout the year. I thought that I could just choose a program to line up with the appropriate sunrise/sunset times. It looks like you are implying that each program has to be set for specific day of the week. In my case each program has all days set, but it shows that it is running P6 no matter what day it is.
@@mindinterceptor if you have a programe set it will run that program. p6 should only run on what day you want it to run on . If all days are set then it will run all days. You cant have a program set and not have it run. You have to have it set. You can clear out the program if you don't need it to run but it cant set there and not be assigned to run at a day and time.
