    Are there any slide-in ovens that are quiet, or quieter than others? I have a 10-year-old Kenmore Elite oven (I moved in 2 years ago) that is loud during the pre-heating cycle. The same for convection cooking, only the fans stay on the entire time. I can even hear it upstairs. When I put my dB meter a foot in front of the oven door, I get reading of 66. I was high on the Frigidaire GCFE3060BF, but I read a review that sounded exactly like my loud Kenmore. I am tempted to try the Hisense HFE3501CPS oven in a large part because of the 2-year warranty. My fear is buying a new oven only to find it is also loud.

    Hello Y’ale,
    My family finally found a new home and are moving in December.
    We just got back from buying new appliances:
    GE55-series washer and dryer in white
    -we don’t think we need steam clean or the automatic dispenser. Our laundry room is mostly white.
    LG 260-series fridge
    LG 6333 range
    LG 5552 dishwasher

      I have the new model induction Wolf range that was delivered last January. I had a service call in due to the certified Wolf installers pushing the unit into its location, they must’ve caught the corner of the countertop pushing it in or banged it against the wall, they cracked the top. I noticed it a week later. Wolf replaced the induction glass top with no hesitation but yes, I’d imagine these things that have nothing to do with the reliability of the model go towards the number of service calls. Too bad the reliability and installation problems can’t be separated when doing these evaluations to get the true reliability factors in there but I understand what you’re saying.

    We bought an LG refrigerator, lasted 3yrs 5 months, bad compressor. L G gives lousy customer service. They gave us the run a round for a month. They told us they had no service people in our area for the repair. Wouldn't even give the part to our repairman we called to fix it. Complained to Lowe's and they gave us another refrigerator. I have heard a lot of stories of lg appliances going bad first hand. I dont believe the number one rating. Has you given number one to miele or maytag or speed queen. No problems. Maybe your sales numbers are skewed. Also, you may have missed the severity of the failures. Eg if LGs failed completely just after warranty and other brands had some minor issues like not levelled.

    • @YaleAppliance1
      @YaleAppliance1  Год назад +10

      Of course you have...But they sell millions of appliances in the US. I don't have an opinion of one brand or the others and report the numbers objectively.
      Unlike anyone else, I have to fix these products in warranty at a loss (why nobody does service) which is the reason we carry the fewest brands out of any appliance store in our area.
      We have performed over 100,000 service calls in less than three years.
      These numbers are as objective as it gets.

They sent a repair guy who worked on it for 3 hours and finally gave up and finally ordered a new compressor; he stated it was leaking freon. Three weeks later he installed the new compressor and guess what, it still leaked. He leak checked the frig for three hours and finally gave up. He stated the leak was somewhere in the freon distribution in the body of the fridge and couldn't fix it without disassembling it entirely thus it was unrepairable. I spent the next five months fighting with LG to replace the fridge but they stalled by slowly escalating my problem through three levels of "customer service". I finally gave up having wasted nine months of time with LG. The bottom line is, DO NOT PURCHASE LG, THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY!
