I-footage just released a similar type of mechanism for a monopod! Also: thank you so much for covering other manufacturers that no one else seems to be covering.
I couldn't find it on their website, it's being showcased by Chris Brockenhurst but he doesn't mention the name or give any links. What's it actually called?
Great monopod but I’ve lost the top, snap in camera plate. It is unfortunately now a beautiful paperweight without that brand-specific part. ONLY place I see one is on YC Onion own website, however that small part is $39.90 AND $50 to ship (!!!), and even that says 7-15 days. Anyone know of a reasonable place to find one?
I just saw ifootage's new cobra 3 strike monopod, and the release button looks nice and sleeker. Better and faster I think since it is easier to reach, plus paired with the pedal base. I think it's available in Kickstarter right now, and I saw a video of Justin Porter testing it out. And it's way cheaper Good job covering though!
Do you prefer monopods or tripods? www.diyphotography.net/the-worlds-fastest-monopod-yc-onion-pineta-pro-monopod/
This is the monopod we all wanted, trigger release monopod and tripods are the way to go moving forward
Definitely makes your life easier. Super fast drop as well
And to clarify I have the “older” non- pro model, the one with the silver collar shown in the background of this video, behind the featured new model.

I think this is going to be the standard for tripods. It's very hare to go back to single-section locks after using such tripod
I have last year’s model
Love it
But immediately wished for a foot release
Will the foot be sold separately and be backwards compatible?
We just upgraded our pineta tripods feet with a kit they had at the show
@@diyphotography was that a perk just for you? Just for the show? Or will that be available on their store sometime soon?
They came in a kit, I'm not sure if it's for sale yet, but I'd reach out to YC Onion. They are really nice people and they can probably sort you out.

It’s the „yc onion pineta pro“. Couldn’t find the new one for sale in Europe.
