- Yesterday evening I remembered that on May 17, 2022, Vangelis passed away. So I wanted to celebrate this, a toast! Not in pain but in music. A melancholic music though. Something light-hearted, kind of weird and forged with my soul.

Dès les premières notes, j'ai besoin de me poser dans un lieu cotonneux, loin du stress et de la connerie humaine. Un ressourcement total, comme ce que j'ai vécu à la campagne ce long weekend. Couchée au soleil à admirer le ciel, les nuages, à écouter le vent qui passe dans les feuilles des arbres, à sentir l'air qui me nourrissait, et ce soleil qui me faisait tant de bien. A écouter le chant des oiseaux, et avec ta musique c'est exactement celà que j'ai ressenti. Exactement les mêmes énotions de sérénités et de PAIX INTERIEURE, d'une reconstruction , d'une nourriture cellulaire épidermique et interne ❤❤❤❤J'adore la voix tellement apaisante :))))

I discovered the Greek genius when I heard Albedo and China, almost simultaneously. Until that moment I still did not have a direction of specific musical tastes, but with him I learned the universality of music, which is far beyond the horizons proposed by genres and styles. He embraced almost all known styles/gentes and made them his own eclectic style. That's why he is among my greatest idols. And you, my dear Fred, have made here a beautiful great tribute to the great Evangelos... A tribute from a great musician to another great musician!

C’était un Domaine de L’Eglise 2010, je trouvais que ça avait du sens avec les anges. Mais je n’ai pas cru (grand cru) nécessaire de le communiquer. Un de mes vins préférés. Me reste plus qu’un seul 2010 en cave. Je recommande chaudement.

Those of us who revere and love Vangelis and his compositions share a common bond I think. We all know what a CS 80 is. We all know what “Tears in rain” means. A certain tune comes to mind when we see a group of people running. When a synth preset has the word ‘blade’ in its title we have a pretty good idea what it will sound like.
The world would be a much duller concern without the musical inventions of Ευάγγελος Οδυσσέας Παπαθανασίου!
