Did FF7 Rebirth fumble these characters?

* Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Story spoilers in discussion* In this episode we look at some of the fan reactions to certain characterisations and re-imaginings in the latest instalment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake story. While FF7 Rebirth is rightly celebrated for the wealth of gameplay available, the reception to its story and more specifically some of the re-introduced characters have been questioned. Here we consider them as compared to the original 1997 game, and also with regards to story structure and expectations.
