Among these stands the Queen's Blood card game which proves a unique successor and continuity of the recurring Final Fantasy card game quests, which was most famously delivered with Final Fantasy 8's Triple Triad. I think if they iterate on the reward structure for Queens Blood in part 3 because let’s be real Queens Blood will return bigger and better then you will have your wish of best of both worlds
Gotta say I didn’t expect a queens blood video to start the rebirth vids off 😅
I admit that I do kind of like the comparatively low-stakes feel of Queen's Blood, even though I have had a lot of fun with Triple Triad in FFVIII. When it comes to minigames and sidequests, I generally prefer not to be pressured too much. I'm a little torn on which one I just genuinely enjoying playing more though.
In any case, I'm still not even very close to finishing FFVII Rebirth yet, I think, despite having put in 74 hours already lol. So I haven't finished up the Queen's Blood quest line yet. I'm really quite enjoying it, though --- more than I expected to. I find it satisfying when I come across a player I'm having a hard time beating and then finally figure out a strategy that works.
Yeah I guess the escalating challenge brings with it the reward when you finally cracked it. The amount of time I've spent collecting and trying different card deck configurations to try and finish the challenges is insane 😅
I am beginning to understand Queen's Blood, and consequently I am enjoying it. I've made the mistake of building too many decks too early, but so far so good. I always skip the first go so I can react to my opponent's method better. I do love Triple Triad (though I game it so that I keep to the original rules.) I also love Blitzball, but that's another game entirely!
I think triple triad is better intergrated and has higher stakes but queens blood is more complex and interesting. If square were to create a multiplayer app i think queensblood would be a better option for 2 humans to play aginst one another.

I liked Queen's Blood until it got to the very extreme challenge versions that had so many variables against playing perfectly placed cards. I didn't like that aspect. I don't want to think 12 steps ahead for every card I look at and then determine the calculus of what the next card would do to the previous card placed in the same 12 steps ahead thinking. I said "eff this. Looking at a guide."
I can’t wait for someone to make a physical version of Queens Blood on Etsy. I bought Tetra Master there, and they tweaked the stupid randomized chance aspect of the game, and made it into a super fun dice rolling game.
Still, Queens Blood might be tedious in real life with all the plus two to certain tiles, or w.e…

I immediately thought this too. The board and counters might be a hassle but 3D printers can do wondrous things.
I thought the same and there are quite a few fanmade boards/decks for Queens Blood out there now
I know I'm on my own here but the card game in ff9 was my favourite
I set aside time in a playthrough to play Tetra Master a LOT in Treno. I think it gets an unfairly bad rap, the gameplay is actually really fun and quite technical

Does anyone else get all the GF and character cards in TT but never refines them lol I just cant part with them.
You can get them back, infinite copies, on disc 4. Aside from PuPu, so hold on to him :)
Yeah, it’s better than Triple Triad. Triple Triad you can become invincible. Not so much QB
Triple Triad is more rewarding as losing has consequences of losing your best cards. The caveat is you never feel like it’s unfair, it’s very well balanced. Queens blood has no consequence of losing but it’s obvious the cpu can “cheat” in some instances making it feel cheap.
This comment reflects my feelings on these card games perfectly. Triple triad, while simpler then queens blood, isn't so simple as to be boring or completely without depth especially once you add the regional rulesets. The reason I prefer triple triad is because the aside from the game being fun in and of itself it also rewards you with items or magic to assist you in other aspects of the game as well.
The CPU doesn’t cheat. If you know how to play and have crafted a deck for use a specific opponent, which only becomes necessary later, then the only thing hampering you is your own skill level. Even drawing a bad hand is overcome by the mulligan mechanic.
Triple triad wins on nostalgia alone ! As soon as i hear that jingle play i’m right back in the 90’s ❤ still queens blood was incredible and definitely the best since .
I could never understand Triple Triad when I was 14 and the game first came out. But I'm actually decent at Queens Blood. Not saying which is better for me, that wouldn't be fair. But I love queens blood. Getting actual items would be better though.

I LOVE Queen’s Blood, but nah The King still reigns. Triple Triad is still the GOAT
