5:06 you are the only one i’ve seen talking & showing the inbody active tracking and I was wondering what would happen if i put an iphone in that mini instead of a dslr, and then connect by cable, will that get me the tracking? Could you please do that test? Thanks.

Great review. My regret about Ronin SC is that it's not compatible with Sony A74, can't use the gimbal's trigger to shoot. Also I still feel it's a bit heavy so I seldom use it. Thinking of buying the RS 3 Mini.
I love mine. Haven't even figured it all out yet. Came from a Crane Plus. Big improvement.

Thanks , your thoughts are quite helpful. Have never used a gimbal, but saw this and thought it might help my very shaky hands now. Have a Z6 and Z6II, mostly for photos but try to dabble with video with mostly results a 3rd grader could get. Suspect now it's more complex than I might want? have to find a vid now of how to actually use one. Appreciate you time and effort. - Tim
I'm in the same position as you and just entering the video space! This gimbal is very beginning friendly from my experience and I still believe one of the if not the best choice for people who are anything but commercial
Great comparison. I'm currently checking of changing the SC for the RS3 mini just for the weight and size... not sure if that would be the best choice
I think I chose RS3 because it’s more future proof and I love Raven Eye as well. But cool gimbal nonetheless. I think RS3 has most features just slightly bigger but extras worth it
Great video mate. I wanna buy one but I’m worried my set up is too front heavy. I’m currently using an S5 with the Lumix S Pro 20-70 2.8. Super front heavy. Will this handle it?
Great video! Some of the other DJI gimbals have a D-bus port with 4 pins by the focus wheel that allows you to control the camera remotely. Does the mini have a D-bus port, any pins, or can it be controlled remotely? Haven't been able to find this info anywhere.

What about using it as vlogging instead of gorilla, would that be Ok with 16-35 with mic or it would be too heavy?
If your camera didnt have a track feature and you planned on shooting music videos would you still get the mini ? Or would u opt for sc because of the tracking?

I saw Your Usfull video on youtube. I found that you're professional in the video. I have a problem with some videos that even I took it. During the pan or tilt; there is something like a large or flake. even at 4k, 60 fps!

I have this set up, its not a problem at all. Just make sure you dont add in a cage tho, it might set the limit.. youll have to test for that.
Does the GH5 M2 also works with the RS3 Mini? (on the website is only the GH5 listed...the GH5M2 is missing)

I used the fx3 for majority of the footage in the video
Try to incline the rs3 mini sideways…for POV shot. Apparently motor are not strong enough. It also Cannot also handle camera with cage. Vertical shooting is for phone. You can do bluetooth control with all recent sony camera and the bluetooth renote rmt-p1bt. You can attach the remote to your belt or even attach it to the gimbal someways as there is a hole to attach it.
Love the video BUT why do we say the gimbal weight in GRAMS and then tell me how much the gimbal can hold in POUNDS AND OUNCES?
I know the rest of the world uses the metric system but we do not.
$379 is a crazy deal for the features this gimbal packs...and at such a light weight. Just wow - the fact that it can do face tracking using the S5ii's gyro data without needing a phone app is CRAZY! I wonder if it would work with the original S5 (which I have)?
It is in fact compatible with the S5 according to DJI!
Can it do face tracking on the Sony A7IV?
@@krizy Yes, but you have to use the DJI phone app. For Sony, there's no native face tracking feature using usb tethering to the camera.

Damn, this video answered all my questions except one! The tracking on the gimbal works with the Panasonic camera, but what about Sony cameras?

RS3 got more convenient. Ease-of-use on the RS3 Mini is superb. It’s more practical using this more lightweight and affordable one from the Ronin series.

Hey Terry which gimbals can handle 8lbs loads ? I have scorp pro and it shakes like it’s overloaded do you think that is the motors or a balance issue? Thx 🙏
The Scorp Pro is listed as having a maximum payload of 10.5 lbs so the motors can handle it.. but it’s always also going to depend on where all the weight is in order to be balanced. For example.. a very light camera with a super heavy lens that has a lot of the weight on the front.. will be very hard to balance if not impossible..
I would go with the RS-3 Pro. For starters, I am currently rocking an OM6 with just a phone to get a feel for it, as in gimble use. You can probably tell I am 100% new at gimbles. Terry sold me already on the RS3 Mini which I want to pair with a Fuji X-T4 and the Rs3 Pro version is listed to have tested with a payload of 10 lbs.

This video definitely helped me out. I was considering switching to the mini from my SC, but after this I almost feel a used full size rs3 might be the best option for me. Portrait shooting and payload are the only things I’m lacking on the SC
Portrait Mode on the SC doesn't cut it for you??

What are the benefits of using a gaming controller?
I guess if you had the gimbal attached to a car with the camera on it and a wireless video transmission system it could be helpful. But in my practicality it’s not much use. It’s cool tho
A highly impressive gimbal overall. Size and price, I think the RS3 Mini is worth it.
It’s more travel-friendly and social media friendly, it’s a good camera gimbal to have nowadays.
Filmmakers need the lidar and motor focus on it! CarbonFiber is a better construction
