Last ball glitch is a visual glitch. If the game decides your last ball won't catch, it will always break out on the first shake. There is some rumor going around that it is impossible to catch on the last ball, but there are enough reports of people catching with the last ball to not believe it to be true
Last ball glitch is that you can't catch the Raid boss on the last ball unless you get a critical catch. Someone even tried it on a Magikarp raid boss. They golden razz, excellent curved it and it still popped out on the first shake. A Magikarp.
Dragon Nixon it all comes down to willpower. Its easy to learn things you care about and enjoy, but it requires willpower to learn things you generally dont give a shit about.
There is another glitch I have noticed Nick, and it happened to you on your moltres catch. I throw curveballs and it doesnt give me credit for a curveball every time. You caught it so it didn't hurt you this time, but curveballs give you a better catch rate so if it is not giving us credit for all of our curveballs we are going to lose more catches in the long run.
I don't think it's a glitch, the curve just wasn't big enough to count as a curve ball..I have had it if I throw a curve and it hits the outer edge of the pokemon, before it gets a chance to really curve back in, it registers as a "straight" throw
It's not a glitch. If your curving from right to left as he is, then if your going to miss the great throw you want to miss to the left. He missed to the right that is why it wasn't a curveball. If you throw from right to left it's opposite.
I don't understand how he catches legendaries so easily. Not even good throws and he gets them, I'm over here excellents and greats with golden raz curve and can't get it.
I've hit two different Lugia's in the face with an excellent throw, curve ball, golden razz berry and still I lost them both. I'm having really horrible luck with him, but I literally can't get these throws any better. Pretty disheartening after trying so hard to get 12+ players together in the first place
It all depends on luck, Your chances are surely higher with great, curve + golden, but you are still able to catch with regular razz and nice for example
He's actually an average player. Hardcore Pokémon go players don't care about the numbers their Pokémon is putting out. Only number that matters is that high CP.
Jorgeie1234 that literally makes no sense, who is going to be better at wrestling? A 6'5 300 lb guy who is strong or a 6'2 260 lb guy who's been training in several different fighting styles for 10 years? One might "look" weaker or maybe they're the same height and weight but one is untrained. So yeah I'm assuming you are speaking on behalf of all average players such as yourself.
He literally just takes the work of others and presents them in a way that a youtube audience can understand. (and then it took nick almost 2 weeks to use the hard work that others did to convert it into a clickbait video that even gets padded out at the end to justify more ads)
Are you serious? Weight plays a huge factor especially in wrestling. This is why they are separated into different weight divisions. And I can tell you now that there is no 10 different types of wrestling. Nice try at trying to prove a point. All you did was prove you don't know anything about wrestling. What he talks about in the video is for your typical average players such as yourself. Hardcore players don't worry about stardust as much anymore since they have an abundance of it. Average players live on a stardust budget. Hardcore players don't.
Finding this video after all this time, SO thankful. I honestly agree that the rule of thumb is to generally only power up to level 30 (with decent IVs and above), based on the average breakpoints and go past that if you're trying to shortman a raid boss.
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost the password. I love any assistance you can give me

I've gotta know what Niantic was thinking when doing these numbers for star dust and cp. Like obviously there was a guy in the company that did all the numbers and said, "yes, this sounds right". There's no way they don't understand their own numbers. And I was thinking, k, maybe this would make sense if you were just trying to get your "party of 6" to lvl 100, but it doesn't make any sense because you have access to all of your pokemon at all times. If Niantic was more transparent about what the frick is happening in their game we might be able to actually solve several of the issues.
I like how this video actually shows how IVs make a difference. Lately there's been a lot of discussions saying IVs don't matter and that people would rather evolve/ power up high CP over high IV. In the end though you have to do extra power ups in the lvl 30 range to get the low IV ones to equal a high IV one so the power ups below lvl 30 you save on by doing that are negated later. Also PvP will eventually come out and a high cp player vs a high IV player is just going to constantly be at a slight disadvantage.
Nick, although the CP changes after getting an error and coming back in the game, if you successfully catch the pokemon it will go back to it's original CP.
There is trick to catching Legendarys first you Use a nanap the golden then back to nanap And you should catch it Thanks to Prodigyis nation for this tip it's super helpful
This is interesting, but I don't really care. I power my stuff up because I like maxing them out, so I don't think this will change how I play the game.
I've run into some of this stuff in raids as well 1) Dodging: it seems that when you dodge, you take the reduced damage and then the full damage and then later the full damage is refunded. If this happens when reduced damage + full damage > HP your pokemon briefly faints but then doesn't properly get revived and instead is invisible and it's not clear if your taps result in attacks. The internet says that if you swap to any other pokemon in your lineup *except* the one that would have been next you can get your half dead invisible pokemon back later (otherwise you just have to sit there and wait while it slowly and invisibly dies) 2) CP re-roll: in my experience if you exit the game (or the game exits/crashes) when you come back you get a pokemon with a different CP, *however* once you catch it, it will go into your box with the *original* CP/IVs. This really confused me the first time it happened since I didn't notice the original re-roll and I just ended up with a pokemon that had different CP in my box than the catch screen.
15:07 Yes, Nick, you actually can do that, but when it's captured, the cp goes back to the cp when you first encountered it , this also happens when you air out
Once again, im really happy for Chantz. With regards to the changing of CP, you can actually force close your app (without error-ing out) then go back to the boss and the cp will change.
It's too late for me, I've maxed out over 20 of my Pokemon to level 39 already. The details are awesome to know, great video! The statistic vids are my favorite!
So, what I'm hearing is. I'm almost a level 33 and this means that BASICALLY if I just max out all of my good pokemon to my current level then I will be better off than worrying about potentially maxing out a few pokemon later on.
Although this information is helpful, the fact that people don't make the best choices when fighting against a raid boss means your own pokemon should be maximized in level so that your own damage contribution will grant you more balls regardless of how poor your fellow trainers make their choices. Sure if you don't have the stardust and candies then by all means use this, but please max out your stuff
The IV did changed on my experience, but after I caught it, it's still appeared as the first one's CP. There rumor saying that people use this bug to try to get a better IV pokemon.
I did not know that there were breakpoints. I figured damage just kept increasing fairly regularly all the way up. Thanks for the info sir. Save me some of my very low stardust totals.
My friends and I have been testing the cp glitch. If you run, force quit or error out. The bonus challenge pokemon will have its cp change. This is ONLY a visual glitch. If you catch it after the cp changes it will come to you with the original cp before you left the bonus challenge.
Good, I was running low on dust.. and it's good to see you actually walking is through an example, instead of just talking numbers .. I can't help but need visual aid 😁
I can't even do gym battles as of right now. Let alone raids. Just error ever damn time. Version 0.69.1 fixed bugs that I did have but gave me this random error crap. Freaking nature of software of course. Hope they fix this soon!!!
Been playing since last year...ironically just started watching through all of your vids earlier this week. Good content, great presentation. Keep up the good work!
When you error out and get a different cp and you catch it, its usually the cp of the first one you encountered. At least that is what my experience has been
Hey Nick, the Moltres you caught in this video on the first throw did not register a curveball. Can you shed some light on what constitutes a curve? The 1.7x multiplier is nothing to sneeze at given the 3% catch rate. Thanks in advance!
As far as I've found, there's a rule and 2 exceptions to the rule. Assuming you're spinning counterclockwise (the ball breaks from the right to the left), the general rule is to land on the left half of the screen. The exception is that if you start the throw on the right side of the screen, you need to land on the left side of the imaginary vertical line above where you started the throw. The second exception is if the pokemon is flying left or right... it seems to shift the imaginary line to where the pokemon moved to. I'm not really sure, but it's not that important. Hope this helps.
Golems low level break points are only good while moltres is around. Next week with zapdos you don't reach the break point on RT until level 37.5 w/ a perfect attack stat. And w/o the birds being eligible for gym placement, when they're gone golem uses start to narrow. That's less than 2nweeks away! Careful with your dust, it's the most valuable resource right now
dance4lifenow Yea... not saying what you said is wrong but 2 of my friends both caught Moltres on their first ball... Also nice on those legendaries, I haven't caught any yet... sadly.
Samerkia I have a grind how "have" a 0/5 in Moltres xD and 4/6 Articuno (maybe a 5/7 Lugia) It's different for everybody, but I see more Moltres running than Articunos or Lugias
dance4lifenow I didn't know about the Articuno event last week so I missed out on him, but I hope to atleast get 1 Moltres or Zapdos. Also good luck on your legendary hunting.
dance4lifenow I also want a Lugia, cuz I don't have one yet, but Moltres and the other guys are here for limited time so they're my main focus right now.
It's amazing how Niantic made 5.8 million dollars the first day Articuno was released and are still unable to fix all the technical issues with the game. What are they doing with all the money they're making? How about hiring a few other people to fix all the lags, bugs and glitches in the game?
Did you check your Pokémon's health after the raid? I have found that the ones that go through lag death don't actually faint. Annoying when it does this to all your Pokémon and you have to go with a second team only to find that your first team was still technically alive.
Someone told me this while doing raids. He's almost Lv40 and he discovered this through experience. The amount of stardust and candies you need to give Pokémon after Lv30 is so ridiculous that it simply isn't worth it unless you have a perfect IV defender for gyms (like a Blissey or smth) but even with the new gym system that's become even less significant. The only reason to level up Pokemon atm is for raids.
Nick there is a new trick where if you use pineapple berries and then switch to golden raspberrys it makes hard to catch Pokémon a lot earlier get. As long as you switch back and forth it works unbelievably well.
Hey Nick, the CP change when you force quit or error out is only a visual glitch. When you catch it, it will return to its normal CP when you first saw it.
I know I'm a year late, but it's just a game and he's just a kid, don't ruin his fun. At least he helped with defeating it, he didn't just get it for free. It's extremely frustrating to see your big brother for example get it first try and you not being able to get it.
I just power up max because it looks cool when the cp is super high
yuh exactly, who really cares about perfect IVs and being smart, pokemon go is a god damn game lol

Fonsi 070 100% iv
Fonsi 070 15 attack/15 defence/15 stamina = 100% IV

Oh thanks
My personal rule is just to not power anything above level 30 unless it has good iv's and is meta. This is because the cp/attack/defense/hp increase per stardust drops drastically.
Fun fact: If your cp changes from the error and you catch it you'll still get the original cp and iv the first time.
I was surprised how Nick didnt know this and the last ball glitch. He must be a very casual raider.
What's the last ball glitch? Please...

1) Dodging: it seems that when you dodge, you take the reduced damage and then the full damage and then later the full damage is refunded. Alexx d.a😂
Golems low level break points are only good while moltres is around. Next week with zapdos you don't reach the break point on RT until level 37.5 w/ a perfect attack stat. And w/o the birds being eligible for gym placement, when they're gone golem uses start to narrow. That's less than 2nweeks away! Careful with your dust, it's the most valuable resource right now
Nicks sister is cute AF!!!😍😍😍
I just hit lvl 29. Still haven't used much dust overall. Glad I'm seeing this video now.
Super convenient my golem has the same moveset
I hate Moltres, I did 5 raids and I couldn't catch him... I just suck or my luck is horrible...
Moltres it's more dificult than other leg to catch. I have lucky and do a 1/1 in moltres 2/2 articulos 2/4 Lugia.
dance4lifenow Yea... not saying what you said is wrong but 2 of my friends both caught Moltres on their first ball... Also nice on those legendaries, I haven't caught any yet... sadly.
Samerkia I have a grind how "have" a 0/5 in Moltres xD and 4/6 Articuno (maybe a 5/7 Lugia)
It's different for everybody, but I see more Moltres running than Articunos or Lugias
dance4lifenow I didn't know about the Articuno event last week so I missed out on him, but I hope to atleast get 1 Moltres or Zapdos. Also good luck on your legendary hunting.
dance4lifenow I also want a Lugia, cuz I don't have one yet, but Moltres and the other guys are here for limited time so they're my main focus right now.
May i ask what is the name of the gym?
I cant find any one to raid with and its killing me😭😭 were are my camden friends
It's amazing how Niantic made 5.8 million dollars the first day Articuno was released and are still unable to fix all the technical issues with the game. What are they doing with all the money they're making? How about hiring a few other people to fix all the lags, bugs and glitches in the game?
You just made me SO MUCH MORE confused..
Did you check your Pokémon's health after the raid? I have found that the ones that go through lag death don't actually faint. Annoying when it does this to all your Pokémon and you have to go with a second team only to find that your first team was still technically alive.
I powerd today a shit load of pokemon
God dammit i should of waited😧😢😠😠😡😠
Someone told me this while doing raids. He's almost Lv40 and he discovered this through experience. The amount of stardust and candies you need to give Pokémon after Lv30 is so ridiculous that it simply isn't worth it unless you have a perfect IV defender for gyms (like a Blissey or smth) but even with the new gym system that's become even less significant. The only reason to level up Pokemon atm is for raids.
Artic1
Zap2
Mol3
Replace all this with Spanish numbers. Coincidence? I think not.
It's got to the point now that I like the video before watching. Always look forward to your videos!
Nick there is a new trick where if you use pineapple berries and then switch to golden raspberrys it makes hard to catch Pokémon a lot earlier get. As long as you switch back and forth it works unbelievably well.
what
liam wilcox nanab then golden then repeat
M8s, these are fake as fucc, it just depends on your luck.
He means easier rather than earlier. That might help.
Hey Nick, the CP change when you force quit or error out is only a visual glitch. When you catch it, it will return to its normal CP when you first saw it.
too late i maxed out my legendaries 😭
Yes finally time for a trainer tips marathon!
Chance doesn't deserve legendary Pokémon if he can't catch them himself.
I know I'm a year late, but it's just a game and he's just a kid, don't ruin his fun. At least he helped with defeating it, he didn't just get it for free. It's extremely frustrating to see your big brother for example get it first try and you not being able to get it.
Seeing Chance getting them is so beautiful.
