I have made this scarf and the hat that goes along with it using the older video. I was not distracted by your nail polish or the quality of the video. I think you are the best and appreciate your tutorials you have re-kindled my love of crochet and I know make scarves and hats for the needy in my community. Keep up the good work!!!!
If your complaining about her nail polish.... Well not sure what to say without sounding worse. Thanks for a great pattern, and you did a great job showing us how. Now I am off to making one myself
Hello! I have to say that I am VERY grateful that you redid the video, but not because of your polish (petty). It was because the silver background kept moving as did the camera and I got so motion sick (very sensitive, unfortunately, that there are many shows and movies that I am unable to watch as well) that I had to stop watching it very shortly into it. I was so disappointed. I was thrilled to see that you had redone it. A HUGE THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!
+Susiehomemaker Smith You're very welcome! I hope you finally get to make this and it's both fun and a scarf you enjoy, or whomever your making it for enjoys it :D
I can't believe people complained about your nail polish! how ridiculous! thank you for all of your videos, I think you're great, and I am really loving your new tutorials with your new camera!
Thank you so much for the pattern! I am making an afghan for my granddaughter with this pattern combined with a slightly different one! It is looking so beautiful! Enjoyed your tutoring! I will be looking forward to more of your patterns!
I've toiled and toiled and figured out how to make a larger piece like an afghan using this pattern. When you chain in multiples of 6, add on 2 more stitches in order for your piece to line up evenly and not slant to either side.
What?!?!? R u kidding me? People complaining about your fingernail polish watching a video you did for ALL who want to learn. This world is NUTS!! God have mercy on us. I thank you.
Actually scratch that question. I see you have a tutorial for a hat too. Thanks! And how petty for people to complain about your manicure. You're a great teacher. Ignore the naysayers! I wonder if increasing the height of the end stitches would help straighten out the edges for a larger project.
What she said! Gloworm took the words right of my mouth... I think some people just look for things to complain about, honestly. I would just ignore ridiculous complaints, or better yet, get a neon dayglow manicure for the next video! B^)
I can explain why the edges don't stay straight for you. The reason is because of the way the stitches lie. If you put a row of SC or even slip stitch across the row before starting each row where you DC 5 times that will put each alternating star fish stitch set on opposing sides. It keeps the stitch pattern aligned properly. If you crochet all the star fish stitches on one side only you are going to have a distinct difference in the straightness of your edges after a while. I hope that helps! Lovely pattern by the way!
Do you think it would keep the edges straight if you simply reversed the front post back post sc every other row? Or does it have to have a sc/slst row in between? Just a thought. I wanted to make a wide infinity scarf that I can pull over my head when the weather is really cold. I'm not very good at modifying patterns so I like to ask before I unravel and rework this yarn so many times I end up giving it to the cat😋.
Love this pattern! Thank you for all your awesome patterns! Can this stitch be made into a infinity scarf and how would you suggest doing so? Please and thank you!
Where do you get the yarn that you are using? I've seen you use it in many of your other tutorials, it's really nice. Thank You for your help, your talent and the time that you so selfishly give. I know the majority of us couldn't be more thankful. I know I am! :-)
Joy Ayers I started doing this when they first gave us that option, but they have messed with it so much that it takes 3 hours to do a 20 minute video and I just do not have this time when my kids are away only 5 hours a day. Shopping cleaning, designing and filming are more important, so I'm afraid I don't do captions anymore. Sorry about that.
+jenny johnson I always change colors the same way. If you want a demonstration you can see how I do it in this video ruclips.net/video/yPVUoboHqBg/видео.html Happy Crocheting!
but in the video you don't say multiples of 6 plus 2 u just say multiples of 6 so yeah we did the math n 20 isn't a multiple of 6 !!! maybe you should edit it n add that lil bit...

LOVE URRRRR VIDEOS, VERY VERY HELPFUL LIVE THEM I LEARNED ALOT 😚
Fantastic!
I love your videos. You are a very good teacher. Have you done any projects with this stitch in the round? I'm curious how that would work.
very pretty stitch.

I'm going to hazard an educated guess that you really should maintain that extra single crochet or slip stitch row in between. :)
I'm making this scarf right now; everyone loves it! Thank you so much for sharing it! Do you also have a pattern/instructions for a matching hat?
Love this pattern! Thank you for all your awesome patterns! Can this stitch be made into a infinity scarf and how would you suggest doing so? Please and thank you!

It was bought at a yarn store in Israel a long time ago, all i know about it was it was Alize yarn. Sorry I no longer have the paper to it anymore.
Thank you ✌👌👌
lovely thank you x
I'm thinking that if you want a blanket, you could make several strips and sew them togethet to avoid the problem of the slanting work.
I made a baby blanket using this stitch. Worked out great! ruclips.net/video/453W-KSRQAg/видео.html
I meant God bless you
Thank you, you too :D
has anyone tried this in a solid colour? I want to know how it would look. the blue and grey looks great. I want to try it with a navy blue
Were did u buy that name brand of yarn
Do you by any chance have "cc" closed captioning? It helps me understand what you are saying. Thank you :)

Where can I find that color of yarn. I can find a turquoise but not with the gray.
Betty B Maybe on ebay, if you live in the US you don't have access to Alize yarn other than that, but check Ice yarns, they have very similar yarn
Meladora's Creations for Crochet Thank you so much for the information. They have a lot of yarn and the prices seem reasonable.
Betty B to

How is a 20 chain count a multiple of 6?
Do the math of multiples of 6 + 2. 6x3= 18 +2= 20
but in the video you don't say multiples of 6 plus 2 u just say multiples of 6 so yeah we did the math n 20 isn't a multiple of 6 !!! maybe you should edit it n add that lil bit...
It's in the directions right below the video....
