    I have made this scarf and the hat that goes along with it using the older video. I was not distracted by your nail polish or the quality of the video. I think you are the best and appreciate your tutorials you have re-kindled my love of crochet and I know make scarves and hats for the needy in my community. Keep up the good work!!!!

    If your complaining about her nail polish.... Well not sure what to say without sounding worse.
    Thanks for a great pattern, and you did a great job showing us how. Now I am off to making one myself

    Hello! I have to say that I am VERY grateful that you redid the video, but not because of your polish (petty). It was because the silver background kept moving as did the camera and I got so motion sick (very sensitive, unfortunately, that there are many shows and movies that I am unable to watch as well) that I had to stop watching it very shortly into it. I was so disappointed. I was thrilled to see that you had redone it. A HUGE THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!

    I've toiled and toiled and figured out how to make a larger piece like an afghan using this pattern. When you chain in multiples of 6, add on 2 more stitches in order for your piece to line up evenly and not slant to either side.

    Actually scratch that question. I see you have a tutorial for a hat too. Thanks! And how petty for people to complain about your manicure. You're a great teacher. Ignore the naysayers! I wonder if increasing the height of the end stitches would help straighten out the edges for a larger project.

  • @RD9_Designs

    What she said! Gloworm took the words right of my mouth... I think some people just look for things to complain about, honestly. I would just ignore ridiculous complaints, or better yet, get a neon dayglow manicure for the next video! B^)

    very pretty stitch.

  • @AngelWingless1100
    @AngelWingless1100 9 лет назад +4

    I can explain why the edges don't stay straight for you. The reason is because of the way the stitches lie. If you put a row of SC or even slip stitch across the row before starting each row where you DC 5 times that will put each alternating star fish stitch set on opposing sides. It keeps the stitch pattern aligned properly. If you crochet all the star fish stitches on one side only you are going to have a distinct difference in the straightness of your edges after a while. I hope that helps! Lovely pattern by the way!

      Do you think it would keep the edges straight if you simply reversed the front post back post sc every other row? Or does it have to have a sc/slst row in between? Just a thought. I wanted to make a wide infinity scarf that I can pull over my head when the weather is really cold. I'm not very good at modifying patterns so I like to ask before I unravel and rework this yarn so many times I end up giving it to the cat😋.

    • @AngelWingless1100
      @AngelWingless1100 8 лет назад

      I'm going to hazard an educated guess that you really should maintain that extra single crochet or slip stitch row in between. :)

    Where do you get the yarn that you are using? I've seen you use it in many of your other tutorials, it's really nice. Thank You for your help, your talent and the time that you so selfishly give. I know the majority of us couldn't be more thankful. I know I am! :-)

    I'm thinking that if you want a blanket, you could make several strips and sew them togethet to avoid the problem of the slanting work.

    • @Meladora1
      @Meladora1  10 лет назад

      Joy Ayers I started doing this when they first gave us that option, but they have messed with it so much that it takes 3 hours to do a 20 minute video and I just do not have this time when my kids are away only 5 hours a day. Shopping cleaning, designing and filming are more important, so I'm afraid I don't do captions anymore. Sorry about that.

    How is a 20 chain count a multiple of 6?

    • @Mzdiana82
      @Mzdiana82 8 лет назад +1

      Do the math of multiples of 6 + 2. 6x3= 18 +2= 20

    • @yankeegirl44
      @yankeegirl44 8 лет назад

      but in the video you don't say multiples of 6 plus 2 u just say multiples of 6 so yeah we did the math n 20 isn't a multiple of 6 !!! maybe you should edit it n add that lil bit...
