  • This was a really fun project. There were some challenges because I've never built a roll cage. Mistakes were made along the way, I learned a lot, I got to make it unique and most importantly, I will be a lot safer If I should ever go wheels up. Special thanks to XO-FAB.COM Offroad Supply for permission to post this project series. I will try and get them to develop a special order specific to the Jeep MJ, and at the very least, one can contact XO-FAB and ask to order just the parts from the cab forward.
purchase the full kit here: shop-xo-fab-com.3dcartstores.c...
Or contact them through the webside: shop-xo-fab-com.3dcartstores....
Parts needed to make this kit work from the back of the cab forward:
*2 front pieces of the halo
    *A-pillar bars (2)
    *B-pillar bars (2)
    *the 3 front roof "spreaders"
*2 roof side to side bars
    *1 5 point harness bar
additional tubing needed for your own design behind the cab.
    Hope this helps,
    Thomas

Thank you. It's a learning process but knowing more about tube work will make better projects later

I like the way you brought the A pillars down into where the fenders go, I'm going to lose my fenders and do the same thing, may even massage that windshield dam in a little so I can tuck it in a couple more inches so its flush

It worked out. I also plated the inner fender and tied them in behind the fender. Not sure if it will do much but it makes me feel good about it lol

@@BlackAndBlueGarage I want to plate my inner fenders with light removable plates also just to keep water and mud out of my engine bay, replacing alternators because they fill with mud and kill the bearings is a drag lol

@@codyabbott4791 good point, I hadn't considered that. My alternator is up high but I've got winches and stuff to think about. I hate mud

@@BlackAndBlueGarage I was wheeling a ranger with no or fenders last summer and killed two alternators lol

Great series, i wasn’t sure I watched them all. But is the upper area going to attach to the inner cab cage via welding, quick connects. Or not at all?
Just curious, I’ll have to re watch the series. I love your work. Very educational and also entertaining 👍👍

I ended up making the top permanent. I might still add more to the inside and tie the front bars to the inner structure. I only wanted the back part to come off so I can get the bed on and off. Eventually the bed will be so banged up I'll take it off and make it a flat bed style. Will be sad but if I have enough fun, it's inevitable lol.
