- Today we went to Lumpini Park (แขวงลุมพินี) in Bangkok, Thailand, to find the 50 baht ($1.47) buffet. This is considered the cheapest all you can eat buffet in Thailand. We took the MRT and got out at the Lumphini station. Then we walked through the park because we wanted to find the Monitor Lizard. We finally arrived at the all you can eat buffet just outside of the park, along the street.
The buffet was fully stocked with fresh food and it had 12 different entrees, soup and cold tea. You had your choice of stir fried or white rice and different types of curry to go on top. There was chicken, beef, pork, and fish cakes as proteins, along with veggies. I was so impressed with the variety of food as well as the quality. The owner of the buffet was so nice and the others working there were very helpful and friendly. If you want to experience what it is like to eat like a local, stop by this buffet. You will be right next to everyday Thai people, from office works to taxi drivers. We had an amazing experience at this buffet, and the quality of the food was just as good as any restaurant. Also had the opportunity to meet fellow RUclipsr, Serg. Such a nice guy and we enjoyed having a chance to chat.

I’m Thai. This restaurant is very good price. I eat a plate of local fried rice for 80 baht, but I'm still hungry.

thanks...hoping to visit and try out the buffet this october! do you know if the tea is made with tap water? Is it safe to drink? I'm just concerned if my stomach is not used to drinking tap water from Thailand. I'm only asking because I had a bad experience in the Philippines when I drank tea that I found out later was made with tap water. Thanks.
Honestly, I'm not 100% certain if the water is tap or not. But I drank it and did not have any issues. But to be on the safe side, I would recommend taking a bottle of water with you.
