    Great info as always, but I am backwards on this discussion / lesson. I can hit the 3 on or off tee. Driver is my weakness, Driver is average 250 & it beats me up, as my 7 iron is 170 yards. One day I hope not to fight this demon .
    Keep up the good work & instructional info

    The most challenging club to hit well. I have about a 55-60% success rate but... when it's struck well, boy does it feel good. And that's why it staying in my bag.

    3 wood is the most pointless club golfers carry, all golfers fit into 1 of 2 categories;
    1) slower swing speed - need loft to get the ball in the air, can't hit 3 wood high enough from the deck better to have a 5 wood
    2) fast swing speed - hit the ball far enough with driver 3 wood from the deck rarely comes into play, better to game mini driver
