This is exactly what i need for my Sophie Hatter Cosplay right now! I almost have the exact same measurements as you 🙌😆 thank you for this helpful walkthrough!
I can’t wait to see the new gown! Keep chasing your bream and your goals. I’ve learned a lot. Have you ever thought about coming to Cincinnati Comic Expo? I would like to do a interview with you someday. Keep up the great work.
Awww thank you so much! The next video will be up in like 30 minutes 😊 as for Cincinnati Comic Expo if they invited me as a guest I certainly would consider it!
I can't wait to see your progress on this project! The 1991 Holiday Barbie is one of my favorites, she is the one of the few dolls I have "saved" to not let little ones play with. Thank you for these technique videos. Would this type of petticoat work if the original dress had a hoop? I have a Flora costume from Sleeping Beauty and the hoopskirt got destroyed (It was made of tubing, not metal thankfully) but I'm not really wanting to try a hoop skit lol. Love watching your videos!
This one in particular wouldn't work with a hoop but if you changed the top tier to a full circle skirt and then follow the steps with those numbers it totally will fit over a hoop.
literally at dragoncon i was hardcore bullying my friends into christmas barbies next year! So hype to see you making one! I had the 1997 one and never took her out of the box but i did open the box because i was fascinated by the lace and like NEEDED to touch it 😂
Yay!!! I love the green Barbie Ball Gown!!! I’m not a fan of red so I might be bias…. Also, sponsored by your book!!! I do have a copy!!! Also, way to be thrifty in buying fabric in bulk!!! Doing the math is a lot.
The math is SOOO MUCH! I literally hate putting the math in because it drags down the pacing of the video but if I leave out the math people will ask me to explain it in the comments and that's even harder, trust me, I tried to explain the math in my book and the editors cut all of it and had me do the math and put it in tables for people to use lol
I see most of your petticoat start at the waist. If it’s not too much to ask, can you make a video on how to do a petticoat for mermaid trains? So a petticoat that start at the knees if that makes sense
I do plan to make one of these someday, but right now I don't have a costume that needs one so I can't really justify making something I don't plan to use currently.
I'm super new into sewing and still learning materials, what would be the difference of making a petticoat with tulle vs organza? Considering it's not a full length but around knee length
Tulle doesn't need any hemming or finishing on the inside as it doesn't frey, it's stiffer and it's a bit scratchy when gathered. Organza is light and fluffy, it twirls beautifully but it needs more attention to the finishings and hemming.

Awww yay! I am happy to hear that!
You did a good job on the petticoat. I am going to do is create the Nutcracker outfits for my American girl dolls.
Oh my gosh that sounds amazing
Yay petti coat twirls!! I'm so happy with how it turns out! 🥰
Thank you 🤩

Okay I LOVE that you’re using the giant sequins!
Thank you! It's either going to look soooo cool or hilarious both are fantastic options

Yeah. I watched really late and might’ve fallen asleep in the math. It turned out great. I’ll rewatch in a bit.
So hard to explain. I get why it’s there. When your hips are 63” though seeing the math for your size makes it a bit overwhelming.
