Thank you for sharing the full experience! It seems like such a cool event. I take it you had someone with you who was taking all the footage of you, right? Like, people weren't bringing tripods etc into Versailles?
I did have someone taking footage of me and I often asked my friends there to take a picture or video as well. I'm so happy to share the experience and emphasize how nice everyone was!
I don't think I was required to speak any French, most of the French people knew English. I did greet people with Bonjour and Bon Soire and if I ran into someone I'd say Pardon and I said Merci to thank people but that's just how I treated everyone in Europe. I learned small common phrases just to be respectful.

Did you hire someone or was it a friend? I’d love to be able to do the same thing and have a keepsake video. Any tips?
Oh gosh, this sounds so magical!✨ I wish to save up and be there some day.
It was such a lovely time and if you can get flights via points it'll save you $1500-$2000 a person
Thank you for showing all this beauty! Are you going to visit the next fetes Galantes ball?
I plan to attend in 2026! It's a bit pricey for me to attend every single year
How much French did you need to get by during the event? Would love to do this myself someday but currently I know absolutely no French ^^;
