When you elevate the hair to trim the inside, do you consider that part of the trim or a haircut? I'm asking bc I regularly get my hair trimmed too get rid of dead ends but because my hair is so long, I get told that's a haircut not a trim. It's seriously maybe a 1/4 of an inch. And I'm thinking, I don't want layers, I want my dead ends taken off 🙃.
It all depends on your hair never having layers, having layers, blunt cut, or lack of trimming as your hair grow.
For example: a client has long hair/short hair and she’s been getting trims regularly and layers were never put in her hair. All of her hair should be at the same length. The stylist still will have to check the inside to make sure there wasn’t any breakage or unexpected splits. But if the client is regular she shouldn’t have bad splits. Also it depends on the timeline of your trim regimen as to how much needs be trim. ( Ex: 4 to 6 weeks going consistently should have only an 1/8 inch trimmed.
Now someone with Long hair/Short hair that decided to get layers in her hair in a previous time; the stylist will Have to go on the inside and trim until your layers grow out because now your hair is now at different lengths( it’s like have different ends but difference is, every end isn’t meeting at the neck(bottom). It’s a must for them to be trimmed because split ends in the layer part will occur, which will cause thinning and ultimately breakage.
For someone that hasn’t had a Trim regimen; 10 times out of 10 the Stylist will have to go on the inside because most likely there will be splits that have traveled so far to where it’s compromising the shape of the hair, So at this point Shaping turns into a Hair Cut. Also if it’s Damaged, which is a good amount of the time, Shaping is needed which in turn will become a haircut.
If Someone gets a blunt cut it’s like starting over and no layers are involved and the hair is all one length.
I Hope this Helps😊❤️
@@KrissypooHairView it does, thanks. I mainly have my hair all one length with it rounded at the bottom. It's tailbone/butt length and I usually go every 3-4 months. That got pushed during corona but I'm pretty consistent. I just don't like the idea of having split ends that aren't being clipped early on, I guess bc I know they like to crawl up. I focus on health and length so I'm down to get a trim or cut, whatever is needed to keep things healthy She ended up laying my hair over her finger and dusting. Thank you!
@@KrissypooHairView : this was the most needed explanation!! I just recently got my arm length hair "trimmed" and never had layers previously. Because I take care of my hair at home with regular wash/deep conditioning, maintaining moisture protein balance and moisturizing/sealing.....my ends are the same length and didn't require the "elevation" of the hair. I guess that's a good thing?
That’s crazy. You really went out ur way to make that section on her hair worse in the thumbnail.
It actually was bad
I feel like the hair always looks it’s best not when you first flat iron, but when they wrap it that first night or for some hours and let it down. It came out beautifully 😍
Lol it get that time to marinate
I agree! I always wrap my hair right after flat ironing and then truly enjoy it the next day when I take it down
Not with my hair. When I wrap it it's literally a wrap. Looks a hot ass mess
@@TheCarnivoreSoprano oof, maybe use lighter products? Or product. I typically only use one product when blowing out and straightening my hair. Maybe using a heavy product weighs the hair down a little, and when you wrap it it molds that way? I don’t know sis 😭
@@TheCarnivoreSoprano lol
Its amazing how much longer hair looks once the whispy end are cut off 🤯🤯🤯
Stunning ❤
I see that BRIDGERTON on in the background😄😄😄
I was trying to figure out what was on the tv.
Lol not Skinemax on in the salon!
THIS SHIT WAS SO GOOOD LET ME TELL YOU HE DESERVED HAPPINESS I LOVED THE DUKE
Beautiful
I binged watch Bridgerton till 5:30 this morning and i called out of work.....too sleepy but that show was very good!!!
This turned out beautifully. I feel this, Korea was my first duty station and it ruined the center of my hair. Thank You for understanding the trauma stress that different water and environments put on our hair.
Yes”, I used to work on base at the salon and I saw how bad it would hack up clients hair. Some of them I would stay In touch with me if they had to get stationed in another location
I can definitely relate, I was stationed in Germany for 2 yrs and had to do my own hair because there were very limited stylists that could do our hair. You client's hair turned out so pretty.
Yep I used to work on a base at the salon and I had a lady and her daughter telling me how tough it was.
Will you please show this man the light in your eyes already so he'll stop asking 😜 Beautiful results ♥️
🤣😂🤣😂 I just got this had me rolling!! Lol
I was like what man?? I don't see a man 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😂😂
Good one 😂😂
😂😂😂😂 I thought he said I don’t wanna see the light
🤣
I see you used Her strandz scissors & the flat iron from Deeper than Hair's product line. You made her hair look awesome & healthy.
That’s a babyliss pro flat iron
Hey 😊the shears come from Amazon but I do highly recommend the Her strands shears 😍❤️. And Thankyou sooo much for Watching
@@KrissypooHairView lol, so sorry. Never noticed how similar they look. I enjoyed watching you slay her hair.
Oh my gosh, this looks so good! Feathered curls is the best look for hair that length in my opinion.
I agree
Yesss her hair is life..the bounce, body, movement!!
I have no idea why this channel popped up on my recommendations but i am NOT mad about it. This is mesmerizing to watch🤩
I love watching a good silk press. I hate getting them tho 😂😂 head feels to light. Only do it every 2 years or so for a good trim of my natural hair. You did a good job he hair looks so good and the shape is nice. Thanks for not cutting to much off im not sure if she's natural most of the time but I hate a stylist that hacks away. Like chile you messing up the fro 😒 😂😂 only gonna be straight for 1 week tops no need for it to SUPER even
Thankyou 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I love how you didn't cut her hair off like most beauticians.
right
Yeesss! So true, she gave her hair justice. LOL 🤗
Me when i trim my ends and tell myself “health over length”😭 then i be regretting everytime
Me too lol butStay consistent and it shouldn’t be as bad
Favorite part is her showing the client what’s going on with her hair.
I know that feeling! She has beautiful hair!
Her smile says it all. So pretty💜
She definitely not scissor happy like most hair dressers are..The Client hair came out fabulous
Her hair came to life after that trim
Definitely got the feels when she talked about the military. Hairstyles/protective styles are so limited. Hair color also(if dyed) 🙄😒. They be SO MUCH(diff natural styles) I wanna do but can't(only weekends, and if we dnt work weekends) til I get out of military tbh lol
Okay this is random but there’s something about light blue flat irons that always brings the best results. Regardless, those skills though. You finessed tf outta that. Beautiful results!✨
Lol”
Lol it is definitely not a coincidence😊 Those are all Babyliss Pro Flat irons. They are really good flat irons❤
Beautifully styled! Please thank her for her service and selfless dedication to us! Blessings! xo
Your silk presses are so relaxing and flawless. Thank you for uploading ❤️
Appreciate it ❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful job. This is gorgeous. So healthy and bouncy
Her hair is beautiful! What a wonderful job you did! I would have been crying with Joy!! I just am amazed that her hair can look like that!!
Give her a hydration treatment the next time and a rinse will help it have a nice shine and not look dull.
Agreed
Her hair and scalp look so healthy
Damn! This was the best magic show I've ever watched! The hair vid was pretty good too...
😄 Appreciate it ❤️❤️❤️
I am a country girl from the Midwest and I absolutely love your videos . Every time you post a new video I get excited. 😍. God bless you and your salon . ❤️
Thankyou and God bless you as well 😊❤️
You did awesome, her hair looks beautiful done🌻❤
I don't know why but this is so satisfying to watch. I've always wanted to get my natural hair pressed but I'm worried my hair won't convert back
I say one day try it 😍❤️ make sure you do a thorough research of great natural hair stylist in your area
@@KrissypooHairView researching is a MUST...thank you
Nice work! Thanks to your client for her service!
❤️❤️❤️
beautiful job; my hair is very similar to hers, and now I can see its potential!
thank you for sharing, and her for her service!
Thankyou for watching 🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think you did a wonderful job she looks happy
Could watch this for hours. So beautiful!
I love this!! Reminds me of my first cut a few years ago... it looked like I had a whole section missing😬 but my stylist worked some magic❤️
You did a beautiful job on her hair.... love that you did not get scissor happy.
Thanks for your service young Lady 🙏🙏💯💯
Her hair is beautiful and I bouncy. Great job 🤗🤗💙💙
I gotta whole space too, cause of heat damage resulting from a FRIED press I received at a salon. I have an upcoming appointment to address mines, hopefully lol 😆. The end result of this press is gorgeous😍🤩🤩
Yaaaay 😍❤️❤️🥰
Love the silk press so pretty ♥️♥️♥️
The bounce is back in that hair! You did that!
Yessss ma’ma you did that.. Beautiful job
You brought that weak side of her hair back to life ! You would never even know, great work.
Beautician skills lit.👌Styling her hair was on point. Thanks for the video. 👋😁☝
Thankyou 😍❤️❤️❤️
I did hair for almost 30 years, but in an area that was not ethnically or culturally diverse at all. I have no experience with hair that has any kind of texture. It is fascinating to me to see the products and techniques used and such beautiful results.
My hair is similar. Always has been shorter in the middle since I’ve been natural. I try to do more protective styles but that area never catches up. If someone has a growth oil, I support black business. 🙏🏼
I don't know whether you have the ingredients there... But as a Sri lankan girl with 3b/3c curls, I found out a recipe which helped me to grow my hair upto waist length... Hope you'll be able to find the ingrediants...
Here's my recipe...
Virgin coconut oil(about 200ml)
Curry leaves(just take the leaflets, remove the mid rib of the leaf.)
Fenugreek seeds (about 2,3 tablespoons)
Aloevera (one leaf is enough)
Rice
olive oil or castor oil( i found out that castor oil is better) 100ml
All you have to do is double boil the curry leaflets, aloevera leaf cut into pieces, fenugreek until the bubbles in the oil dissapper( low heat is good and it helps to infuse all the good nutrients into the oil.)
Then take a glass bottle and add rice to it.. (about 2 tablespoons) then add the cooled oil to it... Then finally add castor oil or olive oil and let the oil sit in the bottle for 1-2 days... Apply it...
Hope this will help you... 😊
There's also hair growth co check put the reviews on here. My guess is if yiu put the oil on the section of hair that yiu want to catch up with the rest of the hair it might
BlackHairandSkincare on youtube, Check her out 💕💕💕
Beautiful job as well as her hair!
Beautiful and thank for explaining that the trimmed was necessary.
I'd be swinging my hair for the rest of that day!
Her hair looks RREEEAAALLLLLYY healthy
I have a theory that scissor happy stylist are jealous stylists.
Yes girlie; Sling it!!! Beautifully done... 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✂✂✂
😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
Hair looks beautiful
😍❤️❤️❤️❤️
You did an awesome and amazing job 👏🏽 I love your videos btw 💜 and Congrats on the growth of your channel 💞
Thankyou for the love shown ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰
I knew this was military hair before you even said it lol. 🙃 It’s soooo hard! The bun kills us too!
Oooo yes, I used to stay getting on my clients when I work on base at the salon. Lol I told them as soon as you get home, take that pony tail down lol”
She has beautiful hair.
This is wildly therapeutic
🥰🥰🥰
Them hair ties! My hair did this more than once from a lot of sports.
Dusting and trimming is a must for me but I do chop a lot of my hair off just to watch it grow back because I'm getting up in age but my hair grows like it did when I was young
You must have amazing strands 😍
@@KrissypooHairView not really I have fine 3c hair so my hair get split ends and single strand knots easily so I go and destroy and just keep chopping lol but my hair is getting better since I changed my routine
@@nicolehunt5827 That’s Great 😍
Well done again, I've noticed before but forgotten to mention.... You're left-handed but hold the straighteners in your right-hand. Did you have to learn to do that, or did it just feel easier that way round?
Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS on both the growth of your channel, and your engagement!!!! 💍
Thankyou ❤️, I’m holding the flatirons in my left hand, it’s the camera reflection like a mirror 😁
@@KrissypooHairView Ha ha, whoops! I forgot about the mirror!! I'd be dangerous if i used my brain!! 😂😋
Beautiful hair. Thanks for your service and sacrifice
I am active duty military too.... I can agree with her.... depending on where you are, it can be hard to find one someone who provides good hair services....
Her hair came out so pretty!! 💕Gorgeous
I hope she can start coming to you at least every 2 to 3 months for her trim services.🙏🏾💕
Thankyou sooo much for watching ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Can you give me an estimate of how long the whole process, from beginning to end , a session like this takes?
2 hours and 30 minutes
Krissy, start a Patreon so we can help you pay for your music...
Thankyou for the idea 🥰❤️❤️❤️
@@KrissypooHairView Well, it's the least I could do. I see a lot of RUclips channels post, CashApp, Patreon, GoFundMe, etc. links in the video description. A prideful person may see it as begging, but people really do like to see other people succeed and it gives them the opportunity to demonstrate it. Good luck miss!
You did that. Beautiful!!!!
Good job. I am glad u didn't cut off all her hair.
Beautifully done and young lady it fits her well💜☺
Gorgeous! Perfect cut and style.
Lol she’s like me pretend not to look until she walk away 😂
Healthy and beautiful God bless 🙏 thanks for sharing
That trim is everything good 😌
The last time I noticed my hair had a gap it was either 1. Due to it being the side I slept on and two it’s because I have combination hair 😅 so still healthy just a different curl pattern lol
Beautiful very accomplished also very relaxing just watching .
OMG! It got fantastic!
Thanks for your service!!
That was very satisfying to watch. Thank you
Thankyou for watching 🥰❤️
You did an amazing job, and she is a beautiful girl😊
If a hair styist constantly requiremends to her client that they should get a perm, texalizer ( sp?) , or dye their to make the hair more manageable and the client keeps saying no should the client find another stylist or is there a reason why the stylist would keep saying that? Also is a keratin treatment a chemical? My hair stylist says it just a protein treament that would make my hair more manageable and i could go back to my kinky curls after it wears out in a couple of months.
Absolutely love
What hole???? 😂😆😅🤣
Beautiful job!! 👍🏽
Just beautiful hair🤩😀 / very talented stylist 😁😁😁😁
You did that boo
Amazing! Any tips on how to bump my ends at home?
If you can use rollers to minimize heat that’ll be good. Or after bumping your ends the the flatiron, you can pin curl them under ways (pin curl in the direction of how you curled it.
Beautiful!!
so pretty and healthy💕
Very beautiful work. Excuse my ignorance, but does hair like this have to be careful of humidity?
Yes😊 just like with any texture. Only difference is you’ll see more of a reaction
Very good job on her hair
💕💕👌👌
Slayed this hair😍
You DID that!!
Wow! Amazing cut!
Hurrrr is laaaiiiiiidddd honey 💁♀️

You niece's nickname is Krissypoo. Her hair came out beautiful
