I played PC1 for 3 years. I prefered career mode because that's how i played RC1. I never once got the visitor count over 4k on pc. Never bothered me. People die on a hill for odd things.
The main thing that stops me with these games is that it feels a bit like a half game knowing a ton of DLC is coming down the pipe. Not entirely sure why that's a turnoff. Like not sure when the time is best to dive in to get the ideal experience.
@@QisforQadim Yeah you’re spot on. You just know that once you buy the base game it’s like opening the door. I do worry that paid mods will be coming too, as they’re using their own mod manager as opposed to Steam Workshop now. @@QisforQadim Understandable. It actually has the opposite effect for me. I tend to buy these games from the start and gradually add DLCs because I know I could never buy at a later date when it will all total $300+. 😅
I get it, but as a long time consumer of theirs I can say that they are FULL Games. They are live service, so they simply keep piling stuff on. UNLIKE Paradox games, it doesn't feel like they're leaving our critical pieces to charge you for them later. Their DLCs are purely additive and they are high quality. They're one of the rare devs where this is true. Base game is good and robust and diverse, and the DLCs just continually expand the glory of the base game.
That was 1 of the issues I had with the first game. Base game was very bland without then spending more money on DLC. Though I dont have much room to talk, since I've also given them a bunch of money for Planet Zoo DLC.
Would have never thought RCT would fucking plummet after 3 and never recover, then get this series to be as great as it is. With the ability to add your own blender files (which I assume this sequel will get too) and importing custom music and video/image files I have so much fun making parks based on my favourite IP.

Wish they would do a crossover with their planet zoo and Jurassic park games. I guess a planet zoo and Jurassic world evolution would be same thing in ways but dinosaurs and coasters sounds fun. There were some basic rides in operation genesis.
I have to say, that is a very good review from someone who isn't a fully planco youtube creator. Knowing also that they will release some DLCs and proper updates, it has a extremely good look and you can create good stuff from how it will be playable in two days. Comparing Frontier to Treyarch or EA, my money will be perefctly invested to a company who hear their fans out. Thanks for your video dude
Dayum... really do wonder if this can rekindle that Theme Park World nostalgia I got :P Needs to be silly enough to be fun but also actually feel like you manage a park and that you profit when building it well so you can earn the money for better and better attractions
The following opinions are mine own and trust me I would love to be able to look past it and just enjoy the game. Main selling point and difference to PC1 is water-park features. All water park features in PC2 are underdeveloped, lack polish and the ambition level is generally too low. RCT3 Soaked is a better water park game based on the public available information which is a dissapointment considering that game is nearly 20 years old. - no way to make a gated water park area - no way to prevent people not in swimware from utilizing certain areas - clunky no-entrance pools which doesn't even seem to work half the time - no water physcis in pools - all water attractions (flumes, boats, body) are on-rails, bascially just coasters with invisible tracks. - no way to make larger changing rooms, causing people to queue up unreasonably - very limited amount of pool-types and spring-boards (compared to rct3 soaked) Guest pathing seems even worse than PC1. They all pretty much follow the same path, even though there are less congested areas available. Furthermore groups of guests still rubberband like they are one unit. Roller coaster stations are still too large and the gates don't line up with the coaster trains. Flat-rides still have large predetermined foundations. No offload/onload station option The UI in PC2 is worse than PC1 on PC. I'm sure the experience is a lot better on console since PC2 has clearly been developed console first, whereas PC1 was developed PC first.
Really hope you can build mega parks on this game without crashing your pc like was really a problem on planet coaster. On the scenery was there enough to have different theme areas like a pirate theme, western theme,, and others that were in planet coaster.
@@chrisburger8794 The current scenery themes in PC2 are: Viking, Greek Mythology, Aquatic, Summer Resort, and Planet Coaster. Also a good variety of flora. Each of these themes have hundreds of prices that can all be scaled and recolored. I think a clever person can, with effort, go well beyond the current themes. Given how they have approached scenery pieces in the sequel, I understand why most themes from Planco 1 are not present. They will need to be recreated from scratch and that will be a lot of work, taking time and money so I accept their being sold back better as DLC. Assuming the dlc themes are as good as the base ones, and are priced reasonably.
