I can’t begin to explain what it feels like when someone you love is in an abusive relationship and you can’t get them out. These abusers isolate, gaslight them until they break down and believe it’s all their fault.
My best friend since high school was in a 13 year abusive relationship. He isolated her so bad she’d see her family maybe on holidays and if she did show up he’d get angry about something and they’d leave in 30 min.
But it was always behind everyone’s back. Whenever he talked to her friends or family he was the nicest guy in the world.
It was fkn awf.
As someone who has met this man, he was one of the best teachers i had ever had. He cared for his students and made my 6th grade better and the stories he told were so great. He had never yelled at my class and whenever I was down he told me to smile. Truly a man that had shaped my life and i’m sorry that he has to see his daughter go through this

It´s kindda scary how he´s able to talk so calmly. Speaking that calmly; for me, is a sign of pure strength and the ability to keep calm in situations where most of us whould´ve exploded. Sometimes quiet and stillness speaks way louder then anything else.
If someone doesn't get it and is OK with being abused then there is nothing anyone can do to help her.
People who weren't raised to recognize that cycle are more easily duped to believe the "real" guy is the facade used in the "honeymoon" faze. This father is no idiot, he saw exactly what games that young man was playing and kudos to him for not shaming his daughter for believing those tactics, initially. He's a true warrior. He protects his own.
Wow the father is calm , I would be ripped of that stage in cuffs for murder if I was that close to him and only Dr Phil standing between us for doing the most disgusting, terrifying thing to a woman possible ! Hope his daughter comes across a real man that will treat her right 🙏🏼
