My dad is allergic to roses, and so for 20 years, my mom has never been able to have a bouquet of roses. I'm going to make these for valentine's day.

Just found this, as I needed to wear something red and gold to identify me as part of the 'group' at a music festival. The colour code is red and gold, so my rose has red petals with gold tinsel edges. Thank you so much for this easy way to make my flower. I can see rose-making becoming addictive!

Your tutorials are so helpful! It's amazing! I was turned off by other rose knitting patterns because I could not KO - or so I thought. This tutorial not only helped me to create an adorable flower to sew onto the tea cozy I'm making, but I also have a new stitch under my beginner belt. Thanks so much! You are a great teacher!

This is a great video! The flowers are really easy to make and are super cute. My one gripe is that the YOs (yarn overs) can kinda be a pain to knit through. I ended up making a small tweak to the instructions that (I think) makes everything completely painless.
I do everything the same as the instructions in the video but instead of doing a YO I Kfb (knit front and back). So on every increase row I Kfb each stitch till I get to the last one, which I knit normally.
The end product looks exactly the same, so there's no worries on that front. I hope this helps anyone that might have been having trouble! =)

A little tip if you’re finding it increasingly difficult to knit the later rows. The 6 stitches on the first row end up being stretched out to the length of the 81 stitches on the last row. If you divide the row onto two DPNs you can hold them at an angle so that the bottom row doesn’t have to stretch.
