For those who want to get a bit more out of the WA counters, I'd just like to point out that with every successful parry/dodge with WA we might want to pause the spamming a bit depending on the situation, as the second half of the WA counter can be cancelled by another WA, and we can lose some damage by doing so unless we want to counter multiple attacks in a row: 1. WA (successful parry/dodge) 2. WA (initiate 1st half of special counter) 3. Wait for 2nd half to finish, or WA to cancel 2nd half if needed
Besides Shifting Spica or walking towards the enemy to get near to it You can actually "teleport" when charging Normal Attack to first stage or maximum and activate Weapon Action after in the right moment. Hope that helps!
u should also tell people to hit the normal attack button in between the pa´s(when pa blinks purple), this gives massive extra dmg in addition to the normal attacks after pa´s
you can do buckshot with the second part of Sirius btw, which you didnt do at all when showing the PA but dont do buckshot with the first bit because you'll break the chain and not do the second part
You do not want to max out Focus Guage Amplifier. I have no clue why youtubers keep suggesting this. This only works for the first bar out of the five. 150% is more than enough to get the first bar full quickly. 200% is not necessary.

In my opinion, counter[weapon action] is the best way to deal big damage while facing any boss. I would like to name it the "full counter", used by the main character Meliodas in the anime Seven Deadly Sins, because Slayer's counterattack damage is really explosive.
Although WA is ez mode, you do far more damage using dodge -> WA. I'd also recommend using the directional versions of sirius and rigel to position on bosses.
I live and Die by the weapon acton, however I like that sega implemented more ways to utilize your rotation. I understand slayer isn't for everyone. but you have safe classes like Ranger.
relentless blade is very unforgiving btw, if you miss time it (to early or late) you do basically no dmg, my relentless blade deal 16 dmg on crit to random enemy that is lower lvl than me when i just spam normal attack as soon as i cast PA
The reason he gained PP was relentless blade, an additional attack on your target activated by pressing normal attack DURING a PA, which he did near the end of every 2nd part of the PA. Not to be confused with slug shot, which is activated by pressing normal attack AFTER a PA WITHOUT directional input. Relentless blade can be activated on both 1st part and 2nd part of the PA, but beaware of activating slug shot after the 1st part won't let you connect into the 2nd part.
1:13 Actually, from current testing, even mainclass wants only 1 point in those skills (and personally, I'd argue you don't need any in Gauge Amplifier). The only potential exception being Overflow, and even then thats only for bossing, and as long as you make frequent use of the third and fourth PAs, its very debatable on how useful the points in Overflow actually are.
Slayer's burst rotation is pretty damn sick. I ran DFA with the Panzer Imperium and we sometimes melt DFA from 45% to 0 when it's broken. Definitely gonna be keeping this class, albeit it has the worst defenses of all classes. Just be mindful of that :P Rotation-wise, I don't think Shifting Spica should be used that much unless you're worried about having to counter a lot. I mainly use stationary Flowing Sirius's full rotation if the boss is not too mobile and I can still use that with a directional input if I need to move around a bit. I only use Spica if I'm running low on PP or if I need a gap closer. I'm still experimenting around with the class and trying to find out what's best to use, but I'm definitely having fun with it

My god so true I physically am only struggling because I press normal after a counter and the animation for it is so short and u get little PP back for it
I don't like this playstyle where you're weaving left and right while missing out the absurd dmg of the 2nd PA which you can cancel with Weapon Action so you'll pretty much never take damage when you play it right.
Using auto attacks inbetween flowing sirius isnt really that important Youre getting like 4pp back per cast which at the end of the day only gives you one extra cast of it, not too important Not much difference between 25 and 21 pp cost
I don’t even use normal attacks since the weapon action does the same job, but also block and counters. Makes the normal attack kind of useless. So for me it’s just flowing Sirius when I have pp>weapon action>unleashed rage>focus overdrive. Just repeat all of that as it comes. I don’t even touch the other skills, because they all seem rather useless compared to flowing Sirius.
New player here. I have questions, does the melee->range potency conversion skill from braver works if u multi-weapon gunblade to braver katana (and if it works, am i supposed to only focus on melee potency?? )
Ive been waiting for this class since I started playing pso again as ngs. The class is nuts and honestly I dont know if anyone has quite covered it in full as far as optimal play style. Im torn between normal attack follow up and WA follow up after counter. A normal attack follow up does do more immidiete damage but WA has more invulnerability and total damage. Flowing Sirius probably will be the go to PA though.
if you have "weapon stealthing camo" , then you can do the next best thing... make one :D or make one while incorporating the design to with ur recent camo/weapon

Hey Keroppi, I've been seeing ppl say that Slayer can get 90% crit rate, but when i added up from add-on skills and skill tree, i only got around 40%. Can you give a small breakdown of how ppl are getting that number?
@@keroppiIt's 2% per bar so you get a total of 10% there i believe. Then there's the passive 10% in skill tree, plus 10% from add-on braver skill. Then 5% from something else idr which. With base 5% i got 40% without fixa. Does that sound about right? Thanks btw I have a Ver Gunblade i maxed out but it seeems everyone advises against it
As I always used Launcher basically every skill is pp hungry so I always tried to have optimally 220pp with Fixa Enthusia on armors & food buff for pp regen this ways I always regenerate my pp pretty fast so switching to Slayer doesn't change my pp management:)

I think both have it's uses, I usually use normal fire as charge stage 1 WA action to gap close or finishing targets mid range and full charge if much farther or to do AOE somewhere or just to charge the bar. While the WA normal slash is pretty much your spam to survive like in the video lmfao.
each photon art i like has an aerial and grounded variation to its combat potential along with directional input(depending on the art you use which makes slayer a versaile mobility style ofcourse the mobilities cost being like fighters and tech users lower hp pool

Same question I had with Techter, but like mongrelshadow14 said, you base what potency to augment on the color of the weapon. Gunblade is blue in NGS, so you want Ranged Potency.
There are multiple factors. Augments you put into your gear that has any HP upgrades to them, the Armors themselves sometimes also has HP upgrades implemented to them, and there is also permanent HP UP through Add On Skills generation at the Class Counter, each Class seem to have this HP Up so it all adds up and it will affect all characters on your account, not just one character.
Waving Rigel sucks at PSE bursting, depletes so much PP when spamming even with Force sub and does only 1.2k crit dmg (89%pot with lv5 fixa termina) and the Reaping Regulus is pretty much being underestimated... im doing 2.9k crit dmg (89%pot with lv5 fixa termina) with this PA Reaping Regulus, spam first the non-directional version as it continuous to send you back then you start spamming the directional version. and this PA doesnt depletes ur PP especially if ur Force sub
Its not about the damage its the crowd control, massive aoe, and ease of use. Waving rigel pulls small enemies towards you as your spamming so other players can use their smaller aoe on the bunched up group you just made. It sounds like you were doing solo farming cause i had 0 pp problems with force sub in a full lobby.
My only issue is that they removed most of the range from the class and the slides gone, the slide was amazing lol. But the ramge might be added in the future because hopefully they add more pas slide might be gone tho unfortunately
Honestly the class is trash and the animations being so long on most of the PA's makes parrying effectively a pipe dream. Sega needs to implement a PA Guard cancel already. Till then I am going to just go back to Ranger and say screw slayer. And the PP consumption and Damage is garbage. The class mostly relies on Crits and the gauge which make it pointless if u cant combo effectively due to poor guarding mechanics and getting combos interrupted constantly due to being knocked down from not being able to guard during a PA. You want a class that's more effective at guarding stick to Katana Braver.

Actually if you hold the atk button when you buckshot it will flow into the second part of the PA. Slayer is all about timing and flow.

I like to combo waving rigel to go up with a direction input then go down, feels good

I'm running twin dagger with slayer as the sub class.
I changed the key of the weapon action with one of the basic atacks. Now i slash with lmb and shoot with shft+lmb

Yes there is a new setting for Critical to glow Yellow and show in big numbers if you crit.

It is the bomb photon art just push in the direction you want to kick it in.

I just spam the weapon action because the normal attack feels so F bad. No other class normal attack feels like that, is just bad, slow, and clunky.

Its close range combat so going for precision augs will give you a better performance and damage output.
It only uses Ranged potency.
Always go by the color of the backround on the weapon. Red=melee pot, Blue=precision pot. Yellow=tech pot.

also, fit slug shot between waving rigel, generate quite some pp and deal damage to tougher enemies
I've played around with Slayer for a bit. Just wish they'd ported Luster over tbh.
