- #queretaro is one of the most desired places to live in Mexico.
Wages are some of the highest paid in all of Mexico. The weather is pleasant almost every day of the year, and there's a lot of sunlight and lush green hills. The cost of living is a fraction of a similar city in the U.S. or Canada, with 2-bedroom rentals starting at $500 USD/month ($9k MXN).
And Queretaro is centrally located in Mexico, which makes exploring the rest of the country a lot easier.
In this video, we share rental costs, grocery costs, and utility costs. We also give you some of the top neighborhoods to live in and how to get around this amazing city.
It's one of my favorite places in Mexico. If I wasn't in CDMX, I would move to Queretaro in a heartbeat.

I am an athletic, very healthy, non smoking retired science teacher moving to QRO in August. I want to go to language school for the first year and am also interested in volunteering in a teaching environment. Do you have any suggestion to go about getting certified/verified in order to volunteer if there are any opportunities to volunteer as a teacher? Thank you to anyone in this community that offers advice. Cheers,
Me encanta con la ciudad de Queretaro. Esta hermosa. Gracias por compartir esta informacion.
Excellent video! As a temporary resident your channel has been a valued resource in many ways. Keep up the great work and a big heartfelt thank you!
Nice video ... I'm still waiting for the Pachuca video 🙂
Great video, I was completely unaware of Queretaro, looks really beautiful
This is one of THE BEST videos I have seen on our gorgeous home - Querétaro, Mexico. Thank you for being honest! The cost of living here has increased dramatically over the past 5 years. The dollar devaluation against the peso in the past 4 years has really hurt. Add in general cost of living and increases (inflation - especially food) in food costs has been significant. Great job on this video - you were a little too kind on the cost of living here though - particularly for retirees from the USA and Canada on a fixed retirement income. Mexico is NOT the bargain economically as it was five years ago…Nice job!!!
glad you enjoyed it
@@MexicoRelocationGuide Our pleasure. There are WAY TOO MANY “Relocation to Mexico” videos and channels that move away from the truth and mislead people. Your adherence to the current facts sets your channel apart and garners you integrity - well above other “promotion and pump” channels and videos. I am writing an article on “how things have changed in Querétaro over the past 5 years” and would like to interview you. CNN is also writing a piece on this subject as well…from a broader perspective- U.S. retirees heading to Mexico. They interviewed me. Article will be out in a few weeks. (Both articles). Let me know…Again - Nice job!!!
We were in Queretaro in February /24 and loved the city centre. We came across an expat (US) real estate agent and we did a tour of areas you were showing here on your video, but we wanted to be more centred, but too costly for us. Great video.
Thanks for sharing!
Another excellent video. Gracias Marianna!!
You're so welcome!
Holaaa Mariana ! Me encantan tus videos ! Sigue haciendo ese gran trabajo! Gracias
Great video !!!🎉🎉
Gracias !! 😊😊
Amazing video. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Really great video. I was there last summer. The city is growing very fast as manufacturing is booming and bringing jobs with it. The centro was lively and walkable from Los Alamos. It was too congested and too polluted for us due to the volume of cars. The traffic is terrible. But if you like big cities, then I imagine it’s one of the best options in Mexico due to the safety and economic expansion.
Thank you, Mariana, for a wonderful overview of Queretaro!
Thanks Cindy
Nice
Hello, friends from Mexico, I really love Tacos! 😍
Hi, friends from America. I really love hamburgers. 😍
Querétaro is a fantastic place to live, especially in the very walkable Centro with so many cultural events to attend.
Yes, like every place in the world, prices have gone up - but for under a $1,000 I can rent a well located, huge 3 bed, 2 bath apartment that in Canada, in a comparable city, would be at least $4,000/month…
Exactly :) Thanks for your feedback
I can see all the benefits you guys get for coming here but most are not working people nor investing in things that benefits us. If you say we go to the states we do but are most hard working people getting paíd less then min wage so it benefits you. All I can say if you americanize it mexican will turn on you. To keep it peacefull visiting is fine but moving to anyplace in mexico needs to be with a benefit to us.
You sound like the anti-immigration folks in the US. A bit hateful. Not all Americans see the value of immigrants working in the US. Remember that. As a matter of fact, they feel it takes jobs from Americans and puts a burden on our already broken healthcare system, transportation and housing crisis. Many Americans have 2-3 jobs if they can even find a job to survive the high cost of living so not sure why you don't consider us hardworking. Your statement sounds just as ridiculous and racist as the anti-immigration activists in the US. If people are kind, willing to respect and learn the language and culture and most importantly support the businesses in the community where they reside and the Country in general what's the problem? People should be able to live freely anywhere in the world with love and respect.
Mexico City next please. 😂
Hola! We've done a video on CDMX - find it here ruclips.net/video/nRASbZZKFQ4/видео.html
Can you buy a house in alamos for 2 million pesos max? Are the colonias where the regular working- middle class Mexicans in the more traditional type of homes live safe as well? And can you buy a house there for max million?
You'll find that you can find houses in that price range. If you want to work with a local realtor who can help you find a house in your budget and within your lifestyle, we have some excellent recommendations in our complete Mexico Relocation Guide mexicorelocationguide.com/guide/
Not anymore. The city has become too expensive
For many people it is still WAYY MORE affordable than many of the cities they are coming from 😉 (expensive is subjective)
For example I live in San Francisco BayArea and by comparison Q is more reasonable
Compared to where? I live in Boston for example..
@@MexicoRelocationGuide If they're going to have the same income as they had in the Western city they're from, then yeah it's going to be more affordable. But if they're hoping to move to Queretaro with a $2k monthly budget and lead a very comfortable middle-class lifestyle, I'd say that's probably not going to be quite enough anymore. That said, Queretaro might be the most beautiful city that I've had the privilege to spend some time in. It's an absolutely stunning place - an incredible historic centre, a perfect climate with sunshine almost every day, relatively low crime rates, and only about three hours away from CDMX by car. All this has obviously driven up its popularity with middle-class Mexicans and foreigners, which has in turn driven up prices.
In Mexico’s current economy, it has gotten very expensive. I lived In Queretaro for 1 year in 2022 and prices have doubled since then. As a retired single female on a very small retired income. It is not affordable.
I never hear of street food vendors?
If you have ever watched a movie set in NYC you've seen hot dog vendors, taco trucks, falafel vendors, and other food trucks. They are all street food vendors. 😊
The food isn't really all that great there and it's pretty boring. I think it's totally over hyped.
Toda la comida es lo mismo ...no hay varieda..
Chemtrails are visible in the sky above the city. Unfortunately, chemtrails also impact Mexico.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You should do some research @@kjwhitty8820
Must hurt to be that stupid.
Nakba, you really don't know the history?????
