I have spent a lot of time in that wonderful city over the years. And I still haven't seen everything that there is to see. The people are friendly and hospitable and there are so many good reasons to go there
I watched your Mexico series of videos and loved them. You show the places and explain very well, thank you so much, most other RUclipsrs keep on filming themselves 100% of the time or showing food, rather than showing the real beauty and attractions of the places. I am planning a trip to Central Mexico with my partners and your videos have been invaluable
The pyramid was fascinating and I can't believe I had the whole place to myself! You are right about the colors. The orange and yellow tones give such a great feel to this place!
Just returned from Querétaro and loved it. We'd been in Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende and Querétaro, but while my wife preferred San Miguel, I felt most peaceful and unstressed here. Will definitely return.
Que hermoso video! Queretaro tiene todo lo moderno pero, también de tiene esa atmósfera de lo tradicional. Que sigas disfrutando Mexico, Lindo y Querido.
I want to move to Mexico, I just starting getting early retirement, due to an car accident, I really like the city you just showed everyone, I speak Spanish, I was born in Mexico DF, I have a card passport, ti visit, hopfully very soon, I grow weary with the large city life, and the state of the country!
@@oldaloneandfarfromhome well thank you, it's just one of the places I want to see in Mexico. I am already getting rid of most of my things. Thanks again
Excelent overview of Queretaro culture. You really captured the escence. It would also be nice to see the contrast of the modern side of the city, I've heard there has been a lot of development in the area and it would be great to see that contrast as well.
That is so kind of you! I actually changed locations today to a suburb east of the city. It is my intention to visit some of the parts of town that are growing over the next couple of weeks. If I get good video, I will try to provide a bit of that contrast. Thank you for watching!
Thank you! Actually there are several locations of the chocolate place, so you might find one closer to where you are staying than the one that I visited. I so appreciate you watching!
Another great video. Queretaro is a beautiful city. My husband and I are in San Miguel de Allende. If you come to SMA let us know if you have time to meet for coffee.
Thank you so much! I booked my tour with Oh! Turismo in Querétaro. Here is their webpage. www.ohturismo.com/ I made the arrangements through Get Your Guide. It was listed as Querétaro: Walking Tour Centro Historico. I hope that helps!
I certainly found that to be the case, but a Canadian woman was killed there in a roadside robbery, during my time in the city. It's important to be vigilant wherever you travel.
How could Mexican real estate prices have gone up so much in recent years? Queretaro used to be cheap. Average incomes in Mexico are only around 10k or so, so most people cannot even remotely pay those asking prices. So who is buying? If compared to income, then Mexican real estate is even much more expensive than here in the US. If you have good advice where to look, pls let me know
I don't think I have an answer for you in terms of how the average Mexican citizen can afford to live there. All I know is that, yes, prices were cheaper than in the US, but much more expensive than I thought they would be.
@@oldaloneandfarfromhome i was born and raised there, never knew we had one. I currently live in NC, and usually go once a year to qro, next time im definitely going there.
Great informational video! Can you please provide me with Carlos' last name & e-mail address or WhatApp handle etc I'm heading to Queretaro from FL in late November. I could use a knowledgeable guide. I speak fluent Spanish as well. Thank you in advance!

@oldaloneandfarfromhome thank you for taking the time to respond to me & for the URL. Your videos are probably in the top three for your travel genre due to quality of site composition (visual), clear & concise explanations & your humanity comes through! I can not wait to visit QRO in a few weeks! Safe & fun travels to you!
I have gotten several messages that I wasn't close on the pronunciation. I do remember that several locals said Querétaro and I thought I had it down. Apparently not! I appreciate you watching!
Ha! I have always acknowledged that pronunciation of places and words in languages other than my own is a challenge. I thought maybe I could learn from you, but when I searched, I couldn't find any videos that you have produced.

That always makes me happy!

What a great video, the music was perfect for the piece. It looks like a beautiful place and I found the Querétaro aqueduct exceptionally interesting.
