I keep saying it with vid after vid - the AI is just improving. Not just the visuals but also the quality of the voices. I never ever believed I'd ever see a young Palpatine & find him somewhat handsome, which also adds to his villainous nature as Darth Sidious. Especially when we are so used to see him as anything but handsome. And I must say that his voice has evolved tremendously in the right direction. I've had slight issues with the voice for Palpatine/Sidious in your previous vids - still very good but not quite hitting it - but here & now it finally sounds like Ian McDiarmid himself! Witnessing how the AI just keeps learning & improving like this - & considering how often you spoil us with new vids - it's almost scary the rate in how this is going. But above all, I couldn't be happier or more grateful for your work, regardless if you follow actual parts of existing novels such as this or total what-if scenarios & everything in between. Considering your overall positive reactions to your work this channel is just another proof that the fandom are still hungry for SW but REAL SW &, apparently, only the fandom itself can give itself what it wants & needs. And, from here on, will do so with ever growing quality & passion which Disney SW could never imagine, even less catch up to at this point.
Another one I want to see is Palpatine recruiting Dooku. How did Dooku react when he discovered the senator from Naboo was a Sith Lord? How did Palpatine gain Dooku's loyalty? Your work is spectacular!!
I mean, we pretty much know all the details. In several meetings that was entirely calculated by Sidious, he was able to discern Dooku's view of the Republic and the Jedi, seeing that he was disillusioned with the state of both organizations. In their last meeting, Sidious promised Dooku not only great power, but that if he joined him then the two of them could reform the galaxy together. Dooku didn't understand at first as while he knew Senator Palpatine was powerful, he couldn't possibly promise anything on that much of a grand scale. That was when Sidious revealed himself as the Dark Lord of the Sith, and promised to make Dooku his apprentice. Seeing this as an opportunity to make a real difference in the galaxy and to use the power and knowledge of the Sith, he agreed. Dooku's loyalty to Sidious remained for as long as Dooku's desire for galactic reform outweighed his selfishness... and that didn't last very long, as that is simply the nature of the Dark Side: it corrupts absolutely and indiscriminately. Dooku had good intentions for joining Sidious and using the power of the Dark Side, but his motivations shifted the more powerful he became and saw just how much he could accomplish. At that point, Dooku was no different than all the Sith Lords who had come before him: a selfish and greedy apprentice who craved the power his master held, which he would try to obtain by plotting against him by using loyalty as a veil to hide his intentions.
It probably plays out similar to how Palpatine reveals himself to Anakin. First, Palpatine has several conversations with him. Then there's the reveal, and Dooku feels like turning in Palpatine. But Palpatine convinces Dooku not to do that.
The Rule of Two was both a method of survival and a long-term strategy for conquest! Almost hard to believe that Darth Sidious never looked like a ghoul boiled in oil! Awesome video.
