- We left the amazing island of Koh Lipe behind and headed to Krabi town.
We used Krabi town as a base to travel the surrounding area to take in the best that this province had to offer. We climbed a mountain to a giant Bhuda statue, rode scooters between cliffs to reach Ao Nang and spent the night at Krabi walking street eating until we nearly burst whilst watching some local talent

Originally from the Wirral, North West England we got married in 2012. After a few trips abroad we caught the #travel bug. In 2019 after 6 weeks in Japan we decided we were going to quit our jobs and take some time out to travel full time. After many delays due to the pandemic, in 2021 our dream finally came true and in November we set off on our journey.
We are heading to Khao Sok next. Is there anything you guys think cannot be missed whilst we are there?

Awesome vlog
I stayed in Ao Nang in Feb 2018 (also stayed in Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe after Ao Nang) and climbed up 1237 steps of the Tiger Cave Temple - it was a bloody killer and those monkeys were ferocious but I have climbed the steps of Batu Caves in KL (Malaysia) which was about 250 steps and climbed about 700 steps at Seven Wells Waterfall in Langkawi (Malaysia). I really liked Ao Nang beach - it was a gateway to many beautiful island tours and of course the incredible Railey Peninsula. I went to Ao Nang again in Feb 2020 and it was still amazing but never tried climbing the Tiger Cave Temple ever again lol
Thanks for the hotel recommendation! We are heading to Krabi later in the year and this hotel looks perfect for us. Been watching a lot of your videos and love them. Visited Krabi town back in 2015.Such an amazing part of Thailand and so under-rated.I'll never forget the steps to the temple,that was a killer workout that took me 1 hour 40 minutes.My goto bar there in the evening was called the Old West Bar,Charlie the owner was an absolute legend and his wife was so kind helping me learn some Thai phrases.Really hope they survived this pandemic and it's still there.Fantastic vlog you 2,brought back some amazing memories that may have caused a tear or 2

Just did a quick Google search on Old West bar and it says temporarily closed. I hope they can pull through and reopen as things pick up 🤞

@@LostKnox if it's still there,check out the night market at the old pier road,loads of great food options and fantastic local goods to be had there.Another great bar is also on that road at the start of it.Run by a great guy from Finland and his Thai wife,they did the biggest burger I've ever seen and failed to finish lol

1235 steps 🥵🥵 it was hard but when i arrived on the top i realize how important and beautiful the
mission i maded to be on the top of the tiger mountain temple.

Try Railay beach short longtail from Aonang. There is lovely people there and have been very badly during the pandemic. Beautiful beach and Tonsi beach worth a visit 👍

We didn't stop in any but there ware a few that were really busy as we passed them 👍
There is supposed to be an elevator to the left of the entrance of the staircase but it’s not as much fun as the hike!

I enjoyed Krabi but we didn't make it to Phuket. I should imagine there is more to do for children on Phuket though. I'm sure you will have an amazing time wherever you go
Great contents. ‘Ao’ mean bay in Thai language.
If you still in Krabi, please check Emerald Pool in Khlong Thom district. 60 km. from Krabi town.
And please consider Trang province if you still not have plan after Krabi. You will find great dim sum and famous Trang Grilled Pork there.

Ok, so skipping past all the unnecessary bits about your hotel room (it's just a hotel room, you know, like everywhere else in the world)...I just don't personally rate Krabi. In the last 7 months of thrashing everywhere below Kanchanaburi in the GFs car with our mountain bikes, we spent some time in Krabi a couple of times and it's a bit disappointing IMHO. Phang-nga has a bit more going on, but Ao Nong and Krabi just arent *that* exciting. Just my personal opinion
