What is your favorite dlc/expansion pack of all time, and why? *Video is available in 1440p, click the gear icon to set resolution* *10:00** - *Mutation system, not sign system**
Dragonborn from Skyrim or Lonesome Road from New Vegas. One is a great callback to Morrowind and the other is a fantastic conclusion to a well-written story.
Its all because of that damn stare at the end. Everything that Geralt and I went through, with that split second stare I remembered it all and it was awesome.
Honestly, replaying it for the second time after a year still felt like I was experiencing it for the first time all over again, I loved every second I spent on this playthrough. It also helps when you read the books and understand all the references.
That geralt stare made me cry like a little clown boy. Please keep up the good work, your videos of late have been on point and the food ones are downright amazing!
my favorite thing about this expansion is the fact you need to choose between 2 huge and amazing missions each with its own world, story and characters and you must play it 2 times to experience them both
@@WretchedRedoran you can choose to either bring detlaff syanna by rescuing her from land of a thousand fables or force detlaff to appear by seeking the unseen elder, the most ancient and dangerous of higher vampires and trying to get him to help you in an otherworldly underground vampire cave/nest. Both are mutually exclusive and give new areas to explore and loot to pick up and characters to meet (LoaTF has much more compared to 1 unseen elder, a dead mage and a bunch of lower vampires) but both have their own charm.
Also with either choice you can still visit Orianna's orphanage and do her quest and still change your mind later so its worth doing for extra content and also as a link to the "night to remember" trailer that came out before the game was released.
One of my favourite games of all time I've done three playthroughs total of 500 + hours and I still find time to play it at least once a week I currently upgraded my PC so revisiting the game in 4k is truly breathtaking I find myself just getting lost in the worlds clearing up the map of side quest and question mark Icons never gets boring or repetitive i truly get immersed in this world unlike any other video game has done to me can't wait for cyberpunk 2077.
Such amazing memories watching this video brings back. Just seeing the colourful beauty of Tuissant brought a joyous smile to my face and a warm feeling in my heart. The music alone gives me goosebumps. 415 hours i sank into all the Witcher 3 content and I thought I was done but seeing this footage just makes me want to experience everything again on a 2nd playthrough of New Game +. 3 playthroughs isn't something i've done before but W3 is so damn good i'm really considering doing it. The best game ever made in my mind I adore nearly everything about it just the combat could have been better but it's still a masterpiece. Loved RDR2 but W3 just can't be beaten.
Great video, Lord Loke, White Samauri of RUclips! 👍 Btw, did MauLer reach you about getting on his podcast? Several thousand people are eagerly hoping for your first appearance on there. 🙏
Please keep doing shit you actually care about Lord Tonald, it really shows & your production quality has gotten better across the board seemingly because you care more about whatever content your making now. Also pretty much completely agree with you about blood & wine.
I can't watch this right now because I still need to play the game, but if it's anything even remotely approaching the quality of Lord Tonald's cooking videos I'm sure it's fantastic.
I've replayed TW3 during these months of quarantine after having beat it 3 times already in the past since launch and not touching it for a long time. I was truely amazed by how enjoyable the whole experience was, almost like i played it the first time. Although i decided to rush parts of the content a bit, namely to get to Blood and Wine. I wanted to experience Beauclair, i needed it. And i wasn't disappointed one bit. The vistas, the colors, the warm sunlight and the cheery people living in it. It was honestly the perfect escapism i needed to escape the doom and gloom of being locked inside of my house while the season turned sunny here in Italy aswell. I could basically quote everything you said in your video, to a t. I've delved far deeper than i ever did in this expansion and i was shocked by how much content i had yet to encounter. Anyway, AMAZING video, Tone.. i said this in your cooking videos already, but ii'm really loving where this channel is going and i truely hope you see your subscriber base shoot for the stars soon, you fucking deserve it!
Just finished the expansion yesterday the second time. The theme and feeling is just so good that I was sad when it was over. I liked it a lot more than the dark dirty theme of Novigrad and Velen
When I finished Witcher 3, it left a ambiguous feel. One of which I wanted more Geralt and friends and imagined if we would get another witcher game. Blood and Wines ending......was like a goodbye to Geralt. If there would be another one, Geralt wouldn't be in our control or around at all.....it's a feeling that I haven't felt since....since Final Fantasy X and Halo 3.
I loved the whole game but Blood and Wine is where I go when I want a pick-me-up. The colour pallete is so enchanting and downright cheerful. I always leave Geralt at Corvo Bianco and imagine he's taking a vacation while I'm not playing him.
Not only is The Witcher 3 the best game ever made, Blood and Wine is the best expansion ever made. Hearts of Stone might have a better story, but you have to factor in it's much shorter length makes that an easy accomplishment. 25 hours into my second replay and I can't wait to get thru the expansions again. A little under 200 hours to go, based on my last playthrough.
The Mass Effect 3 Citadel DLC is my favorite DLC of all time. The writers had so much fun with this one; it's jam packed with inside jokes and fan service. It was a great sendoff to the characters I'd spent 80+ hours of my life with.
The best part was the ending where you get to retire to your villa with your love interest (assuming you didn't screw stuff up in the main game).I didn't (nor will I ever) complete everything in the main game, but I completed every marker in Blood and Wine. It was such a enchanting environment to spend time in.
Fairy tale land is fun and is required to get the "good" ending. But if someone isn't going to replay B&W it is well worth to at least do the "bad" ending as well so you could meet ancient vampire :)
It is a good game. If you don't have time to play through the game or don't want to wander for to long I would recommend Hathur's playthrough. He goes through every quest and side event. He is currently finishing blood and wine and the way he records it is coherent.
All hail to our lord and savior Tonald Loke. The EFAP podcast crew and we, the fanbase would really love to see you on the 100. podcast. Please consider contacting Mauler. I know that the podcast and you didn't start off well. The criticism was heavy and arguably not delivered in the nicest way. BUT since then your videos became better and better and the entire community came around and now we all genuinely love your content. It would mean much to everybody if you could at least drop in, even it would just be for a moment. Please consider it. Sincerely a new fan.
Great video, really informative. I've never been a big Witcher fan but I'll have to play them after seeing this. A few suggestions for the cooking series: Lara Croft, John Marston or Arthur Morgan, Solid Snake, Ezio Auditore, Agent 47, Marcus Fenix, Galen Marek, Mario, Link. Thank you for all the awesome content. Slice and dice, good sir.
i know i know, im a huge fan of the witcher 3 too, and being subscribed for years now, you covered videos of the witcher 3 like 4 times now? praising it. i agree. i have a video of me wearing a shirt of the witcher, and a medallion and having a pop and a kinda big statue of him in bear armor.
i played B&W through Christmas, best gift ever i can tell, could not describe the magic but it was like "something's gotten hold of my hand which was dragging my soul to a beautiful land, something had invaded my mind and was painting my sleep with a colour so bright, changing the grey and changing the blue..." damn The Witcher changed my mindset for sure:D:D #more than a game stay safe!
Blood and Wine is one of the best DLC's ever made. Many people enjoy Hearts of Stone more but I think Blood and Wine is the better of the two. The map, the story... It's all just so great
Some of the best DLC's I've ever played this decade are: - Lair of the Shadow Broker (ME2) - Citadel (ME3) - The Old Hunters (Bloodborne) - Ringed City (Dark Souls 3) - The Frozen Wilds (Zero Dawn) - Blood & Wine (Witcher 3) - Left Behind (Last of Us)
This game is by far one of the best gaming experiences I have had, I dont know exactly what it is but theres a magic this game has in its experience that just feels good
What I love most about the story is the fact that the whole story is one big Witcher contract which were my favourite parts of the Witcher 3 as a whole and getting a whole campaign long Witcher contract that kept me interested from start to finish!
Lets See what will Witcher 4 will bring us hope they take enough time and come up with something astounding as as Witcher 3 :D , But offcourse its gonna be years from now .
Like he said it was difficult for me to get into the game in the beginning especially since it was my first RPG. But after the 3 witches of the bog story the game just swooped me off my feet and i ended up loving this game. Blood and wine was simplylovely to play. The city ,the music, the quests and our house . Best game i ever played.
I Will Never forget the game itself. Wild Hunt gave us tons of fantasticaly written quests, tons of content, fantastic World, and was the most emotional from the 3, and much more what makes it So great. Hearts of Stone gave us the briliant story and Writing (the Best out of 3) with fantastic characters and depth. And Blood and Wine gave us New game mechanics, beautiful and unique New region, tons of New great quests, great climatic setting and being the great end to Geralt's Journey.
Blood and Wine is absolutely my favorite witcher 3 expansion... maaaaybe even my favorite... It still has to contend with warcraft 3/starcraft/diablo 2 expansions but its definitely up there.
Agreed on all fronts. I remember buying Witcher 3 shortly after it released as a show piece for my gaming rig at the time, but struggling to get into the game then. With the recent next-gen update, I gave it another chance. Within a couple weeks, I had made my way through the game and started my second play through. I’ve got my second play through on my updated rig with the Complete Edition, while I challenged myself to mod the 1.31 version on my Steam Deck for separate, Classic play through. Apparently I’m a Witcher incel, ha!
Maaan Corvo Bianco is one of the best things we get in the DLC. Possibility to showcase paintings, armors weapons... I just wish the house was a bit bigger :D
Bought the whole lot for Nintendo Switch. While it was a little sluggish compared to my insane PC, it was nice to be able to sit down and play through it again on my couch, or wherever. Gameplay in this game is amazing and the replay value is astounding. Just knowing if you do things differently in certain key quests you could end up dead and having Ciri as Queen of Nilfgaard... (or dead)
Games that made me enjoy gaming in order of me playing them:skyrim, fallout new vegas The witcher 3 then briefly playing Bloodborne after giving up because of eriebritas after was darksouls 3 and having to stop after defeating the abyss watchers and last but not least red dead redemption 2 a game that brought tears to my eyes
I couldn't agree more with this! I also took an absurd amount of time to get into witcher 3 but once i did i really enjoyed it. But the best part was by far Blood & Wine. I liked that the dark feeling of the base game worked so well in a bright and not-grimy-like-Novigrad setting and it felt like a gift for surviving through the onslaughts of the wild hunt and gaunter o'dimm
One of the best expansions for a trilogy/story of our MC of all time to one of the best games of all time. I will never forget my experience with it after finishing my first and only 100% playthrough after 268 hours. Reading all the novels beforehand and replaying the games to get an save to import from the first game to the third and seeing it end with Geralt and Yennefer at the end is just the perfect ending for me and replaying this playthrough would invalidate the memories I made throughout the game.
I’ve played the Witcher 3 and DLC through twice now and I’ll go do it again once I get the next upgrade. It’s become one of my favourite series of all time.
I fucking love witcher!! I've played throught whole game 4 times including the expansions. Did all I could, collected all the cards, do literally every quest. All is left for me is few achievemnts but I still love going back to this game.
i dont know why but witcher 3 made me a fan of the witcher series in general making me go to previous games i dont think many games do only a few(e.g metal gear, devil may cry, dark souls). Witcher 3 is easily one of if not my favourite game ive played soo much detail in soo many areas and still amazing after 5 years later.
For me it's an easy answer because I've never played a better expansion for a game since brood war from StarCraft. I mean this could be easily a new 60 dollar game for Activision, EA, or Ubisoft but they charge $20. Yeah you hear me right this is the reason why CD Projekt Red is so beloved because this is clearly an incredible game by his own merits. Amazing never forget blood and wine!
I'm playing it right now.... never ended Blood and Wine. Now it's time to do it.
4 года назад
Blood and Wine is just great! specially Beauclair, the level of detail and live they put in that city is just amazing. But I think it's just a shame that the quests don't lure you much to admire all the paintings, buildings, stores, etc around the city and are easily missed.
I actually prefer Blood and Wine story over Hearts of Stone purely because there isn't clear cut villain but rather a web of intrigue and hurt where lack of compassion is a reason for majority of bad things happening, which ties beautifully into the setting and knightly valors. Even if twist is predictable, it's such a tight, cleanly told and sad story, I love it. Plus, it has Regis. Regis is the best.

Mine is Age of Empires - Rise of Rome. It brought new campaigns, civilizations and gameplay mechanics with it.
Dragonborn from Skyrim or Lonesome Road from New Vegas. One is a great callback to Morrowind and the other is a fantastic conclusion to a well-written story.
Blood and wine
I might have set high expectations as I have only bought 10 or so story dlcs. Two of which are for Witcher 3.
just wanted to say keep up the good work. your content is getting better by the day
#TonaldForEFAP100
Welp i got a witcher tattoo on my right forearm so make a guess
I will never forget this game
i wish i can forget it so i can re-play it
@@chAXvrl Theres not much that I wouldnt sacrifice to play TW3 for the first time again.
I was playing now new game plus
Im pretty sure almost everybody that have played this game will never forget it
Its all because of that damn stare at the end. Everything that Geralt and I went through, with that split second stare I remembered it all and it was awesome.
That 4th wall smile man...
I finished b&w at 3am some time ago and that 4th wall wink gave me the good goosebumps over my whole body it was crazy
@BeyondMayhem Wink was great too but for me it was that smile while look at me that subtle smile
It's crazy how much replay value this game has after all these years.
I've lost track of how many replays I've done, all I know is it's more than any other game I've played.
DMC series, souls series, Witcher 3 even Skyrim all have great amount of replay value.
Honestly, replaying it for the second time after a year still felt like I was experiencing it for the first time all over again, I loved every second I spent on this playthrough. It also helps when you read the books and understand all the references.
I've been replaying it during this quarantine, it's crazy how many things I missed in my first playthrough
I only just beat it for the first time during quarantine. I am so ready to experience it again!
My boy DT is obsessed with TW3. Just like the rest of us
Tonald is a man of taste and quality.
I’m on my third play through almost 300 hours...
Best f*cking game ever!
Fiiiiight meee!
u know it bro
This is by far THE BEST rpg game ever created...
The best game period
Witcher 3 and it’s expansions is one the of best I’ve played this gen
That geralt stare made me cry like a little clown boy. Please keep up the good work, your videos of late have been on point and the food ones are downright amazing!
Cried so much all the makeup disappeared, only my big red nose left.
YT needs to get its shit together and give the food videos the millions of views they deserve.
my favorite thing about this expansion is the fact you need to choose between 2 huge and amazing missions each with its own world, story and characters and you must play it 2 times to experience them both
Hm? I don't seem to understand, so if one could explain further much thanks i'd have towards them.

The White Samauri would squeeze Geralt's cluster like a little clown boi.
Psh
Just as the spiders foretold.

I have no idea who "white samurai" is.

What 😱
...and somehow I feel that this praise for Blood and Wine, is still an understatement
Yeah. CDPR calls it an "expansion" while It's bigger and better than many games out there.
Blood and Wine, Heart of Stone and the Following of Dying Light are few of the only DLC I see as actually being DLC worth getting. Real expansions.
Whenever I see geralts face or anything about Witcher 3 my mind goes to peace and get tears of joy because the amazing time I had with this game

HAIL TONALD LOKE
Not only is The Witcher 3 the best game ever made, Blood and Wine is the best expansion ever made. This is also my favorite expansion of all time!
This video is criminally underrated and short. Everything you said was everything I felt. 10/10 video
CD Projekt Red is the best
doki doki literature club in rapunzels tower had me laughing on the floor
Blood & Wine was like Hope at the end of Pandora's box. It nicely rounded out what could be a very dark game & first DLC.
The Mass Effect 3 Citadel DLC is my favorite DLC of all time. The writers had so much fun with this one; it's jam packed with inside jokes and fan service. It was a great sendoff to the characters I'd spent 80+ hours of my life with.
You seem so honest and caring in the last videos, truly living up to your name, Lord Tonald. Bless you!

It's good to see 5 year's ago releases game still conquering
It IS the perfect expansion for me...atleast it's as near as you can get. It will always remain in my heart.

- Ringed City (Dark Souls 3)
- The Frozen Wilds (Zero Dawn)
- Blood & Wine (Witcher 3)
- Left Behind (Last of Us)

Thank you for this video Tone Loke!
B&W is the undisputed champion of DLCs!
Such an amazing game and all DLCs!!!!
This game made me depressed AF after my first playthrough for a good couple of weeks.
I'll never be bored if downward thrust talks about witcher everyday
This game is by far one of the best gaming experiences I have had, I dont know exactly what it is but theres a magic this game has in its experience that just feels good
Loved the video. However I wish it was longer. With a longer video you could go into more detail to show exactly what you mean.
Hearts of Stone's story is insane though
What I love most about the story is the fact that the whole story is one big Witcher contract which were my favourite parts of the Witcher 3 as a whole and getting a whole campaign long Witcher contract that kept me interested from start to finish!

Even if it might not be completely Geralt, I loved Corvo Bianco... With all the armor, paintings and details you can put up! It's brilliant!
I brought that game because it was on sale , i didn't believe i would ever like it but i thought
Blood and Wine is absolutely my favorite witcher 3 expansion... maaaaybe even my favorite... It still has to contend with warcraft 3/starcraft/diablo 2 expansions but its definitely up there.
That feeling when I finished this dlc... You summed it up perfectly in the first 20 seconds...
The soundtrack is so incredibly good in the Witcher 3 core game and the two DLC's.

I liked that the dark feeling of the base game worked so well in a bright and not-grimy-like-Novigrad setting and it felt like a gift for surviving through the onslaughts of the wild hunt and gaunter o'dimm
I agree with you on all points. Best dlc I’ve played. Just finished it for the first time a week ago and I wasn’t disappointed at all
One of the best expansions for a trilogy/story of our MC of all time to one of the best games of all time.
Corvo Bianco is an abyss you just throw money at. It physically hurt calculating how much I had spent upgrading it.
I had so much cash by then I truly didn't care. Wanted to kill that Runewright, however for ripping me off non stop. 😂
I fucking love witcher!! I've played throught whole game 4 times including the expansions. Did all I could, collected all the cards, do literally every quest. All is left for me is few achievemnts but I still love going back to this game.
My favourite we moment finding the lab of the tyromancer that rewards you with ementaler sword (vanilla w3)
I love the different landscape makes the world feel real no place looks just like others
Two things that stand out are the elder vampire and roach's quest.
i dont know why but witcher 3 made me a fan of the witcher series in general making me go to previous games i dont think many games do only a few(e.g metal gear, devil may cry, dark souls). Witcher 3 is easily one of if not my favourite game ive played soo much detail in soo many areas and still amazing after 5 years later.
Brb replaying this game 3 times again
For me it's an easy answer because I've never played a better expansion for a game since brood war from StarCraft. I mean this could be easily a new 60 dollar game for Activision, EA, or Ubisoft but they charge $20. Yeah you hear me right this is the reason why CD Projekt Red is so beloved because this is clearly an incredible game by his own merits. Amazing never forget blood and wine!
All of the Heart of Stone missions actually took place in Redania, not northern Temeria. Everything north of Oxenfurt is Redania
The best experience I've ever had on a game, literally blows me away everytime just to think about it.
I’ve played this game at least once per year since it released, and it never disappoints. My #1 game all time
I'm playing it right now.... never ended Blood and Wine. Now it's time to do it.
Blood and Wine is just great! specially Beauclair, the level of detail and live they put in that city is just amazing. But I think it's just a shame that the quests don't lure you much to admire all the paintings, buildings, stores, etc around the city and are easily missed.
I can't wait for Netflix The Witcher Season 2!
