Not gonna lie, I'm still going to get this game and probably love it, but the lack of a stud counter is kind of a negative for me. Savagely tearing apart my entire environment to get little studs to fill a meter at the top of the screen just scratched an itch in my reptile brain that made me unrealistically happy.
So true!! Every lego I've played (which is all of them) it was always my mission to break and get as much studs from every level as possible. It never felt like a level was complete till I did. I am with you that I'm still getting the game but yeah it does sorta bum you out.
@dygz I played the game on PS5 last night and there was no stud counter. I mean obviously the game counts how many studs you have, but when we say stud counter, we mean that bar at the top of the screen that fills as you collect studs, and you get a bonus if you fill the counter in each level.
I love lego games I love horizon games, this takes away the best bits of both and ends up a short disappointment, no side quests, nothing interesting just fighting stuff over n over with no variety
My rule of thumb is I’m not going to buy a game until the game length is longer than the purchase price. Only exceptions are my most anticipated games.
3:24 this is a deal breaker for me 100%. I might get it if it's on sale for cheap or play it if it comes to PS+, but this change completely removes any chance I'd be a day one buyer like I am with most other Lego games. Very sad change...
I wonder who'll be voicing Sylens. While it would have been nice to hear Lance as Sylens one last time, similar to how we're getting to see him as Charon one last time in the John Wick spin off "Ballerina", I am interested in seeing who'll be voicing him here and if they'll be the voice of Sylens going forward into Horizon 3.
I have a PS5 but I may actually be getting this on Switch since I’m about to start doing some on-and-off traveling for work and this looks like a blast for portable play!
The original release notes showed that it would have RT reflections and RT shadows. I hope that was actually true because it looks like an attractive game to begin with. Any extra graphical flourishes would definitely be welcome
My head canon so far is Beta had Gaia 3d print action figures if her party and is in the server room acting out her preferred version of the life both she and Alloy should have had.
Definitely gonna wait for a sale for this one. I like the horizon games but I think Sony is pushing way too much content for the IP instead of focusing on other great IPs

What? You can choose who Aloy likes, especially in Forbidden West. Even in the first hour of the game with the prince or whoever. There just aren't any deep romance options for Aloy, like in Baldur's Gate 3 or Mass Effect. She's a woman on a mission. Lol.
I guess DEI was involved with the making of Baldur's Gate 3 as well... DEI has been involved with video games for decades, especially after the industry took the throne over Hollywood as the biggest entertainment medium.
