8:39 Tbf, personally, I find that it's actually very interesting to see how they translate games with older audiences like Horizon to younger audiences than something that is already geared to mostly young audiences like Ratchet & Clank, since a LEGO adaptation of that game will mostly just feel like "Ratchet & Clank again, but LEGO".
LEGO adaptation games have always adapted PG-13 stuff. The ones that adapted PG films felt weird to me, like not enough had changed (except for LEGO Star Wars).

Thanks for giving this game an honest look. I've seen so many people dismiss it because "Horizon is yet another open world game" that I have no idea of its actual quality.
I think there’s only been at most ten games to do that, the Lego movie games, Lego worlds, those two puzzle games, Star Wars castaways, (maybe) battles?, ninjago movie game, ninjago movie mobile, 2k racing and maybe some more I can’t remember
I love how the charcters move. I always think the lego characters should move exaggerated and cartooney. And the world actually being lego is something I've always wanted
9:27 the funny part about this is it doesn’t have a Ps5 pro patch so it’s always just running the base Ps5 30fps Quality mode version with no patch planned. Their holiday tentpole doesn’t even have a patch on their “pro” console
To be fair, it’s a Lego game. 30fps sort of works. It’s why the movie intentionally dropped frames. I’ll never really blame someone for wanting higher frame rates, though.
It's probably because LEGO games tend to sell better on the Switch, like how SEGA releases new Sonic mainline games on the Switch, despite the fact that they're developed for more powerful systems. However, I don't think there's a built-in audience for Horizon on the Switch, is this LEGO game made for people who played the Horizon games or are they trying to capture a new audience?
@ I’m surprised they haven’t made a Lego Sonic game yet they’re already made a Sonic Level pack for Lego Dimensions and Lego is releasing Lego Sonic sets just that’s easy money apparently Sega is interested of remaking Sonic games looks like Sonic Unleashed is going to be next remaster since Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations uses the same game engine and Sonic Adventure 1 is going to get removed from Steam they must have plans for a remake Sonic Adventure
I mean, the first game was given a chance to be ported to PC, so I figure its similar for this. I feel like this Lego version of the game is testing the waters that the Switch fandom inhabit, just to see if people will take to it, just to see if it would be a good idea to make a Switch port of the original game.
@@firetoacat I don't know, even if the Switch's successor is capable or running the original Horizon: Zero Dawn game, I don't think Sony is thinking of porting the game to other consoles
I can't help but feel like Horizon Zero Dawn is pushed more than it deserves. Not even that it's a bad game, just that Sony is trying to artificially make it a bigger franchise than it is, and this Lego game just adds to that perception for me. That said, I am not entirely against the idea of Lego parodies of other classic games. One idea I had as both a "Lego adaptation of a game" and "New Lego Star Wars title" would be a Lego version of Knight of the Old Republic in the style of previous Lego Star Wars games. You could even have some very light RPG elements, being able to design your own version of Revan out of Lego pieces and getting to choose some light/darkside solutions to puzzles in some levels. Or maybe I just want to see a Lego HK-47.
I definitely agree, it all feels fake especially the Remake like I don’t know anyone who even played this game. Every other game with this kind of push I know At least on person who played an entry.
Honestly, I am happy a IP that only has two games is getting more love. That IP's universe has so much room to grow into and having a game like Horizon Adventures would help to get more eyes on the IP and help it to grow.
@@RusticRonnie That's amazing, cos I've played the original twice, and like 80% of the people I know who have a PlayStation have played it at least once, because of how famous it is. I mean, it has robot dinosaurs, for goodness' sake. 😆 I just did a quick google out of curiosity, and apparently by May 2023, HZD had already sold over 24 million copies across PS and PC. Maybe you and your friends (and OP) just don't like that style of open-world adventure game for some reason, and so none of you bothered to play it? BTW, the recent one isn't a remake, it's a remaster. It's literally called "Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered". I mean, sorry if I sound exasperated, but it's just that saying "it feels fake" is such a strange take. Have I had too much caffeine, and can't sleep? Why, yes! But regardless - it's the kind of belief that's easily dispelled by just looking beyond your circle of immediate friends and googling for like 10 seconds. It's really weird, lol. There's even an official board game and a colouring book. 😂Look at what Sony does to games that *don't* do well... 😬 Now I'm actually genuinely curious about what types of games you and your friends actually play, lol. @@someguy_namingly It's true. A lot of people like to hate on the franchise for some reason, which is fine, but saying no one plays the games is just wrong. It's actually one of Sony's best-selling PlayStation IP's.

When i see this lego i think okey maybe this IS fun but i dont like Aloy or any other npc that i dont remenber his names and its not like any other lego Game from TT IS a guerrilla lego the Game look boring. I dont know why we dont get another days gone Game.
Both LEGO Worlds and LEGO Movie 2 by Tt used the same engine, where everything was made from LEGO, and then Builders Journey and Brick tales have recently used fully LEGO environments in different ways. I personally prefer to have the elements you interact with be made from LEGO and the environments be realistic, like most of the TT games, it makes it easier to see what you can break and interact with. I always imagined this was representative of how a child played with LEGO in their garden, no 6 year old is buying enough LEGO to build an entire massive diorama where everything is glued down and not breakable. It looks amazing, but the level design is shallow and repetitive.
Why do seemingly a good portion of people think that Horizon doesn't deserve anything? i see a fair amount of comments complaining that "they just did another horizon thing for money" or "why is this being talked about, ive never been interested in it." Well the numbers speak for themselves mate- and maybe the reason they push out more horizon is not just because its a new IP but also because it has actually been bought by a lot of people who like it?? I mean just because you dont hang with people who haven't played it doesn't mean its not been played by a lot of people.
I look forward to this channel covering everything available in Lego Fortnite. Any fan of Lego should definitely check out Lego Fortnite main game, this season is called Lost Isles. First update was Star Wars, the free stuff from that season are still in my inventory plus Star Wars missions are still playable next to the new buildings and quests. Not only free to play, but free stuff to earn and keep every season. The player created games are a big part of Lego Fortnite. Not just maps but games in Lego skins. No video game channels I follow have covered this million dollar free Lego game. I just don’t understand why anyone would pay for any Lego game after this, that’s coming from me. The only Modern Lego games I DON’T own are Incredibles, Indiana Jones 1&2, Avengers 1 and Bricktales (yet). I’ve paid my dues, now I play the free Lego Fortnite. 😊
Yes, and it's about time. TT's Lego games have been stuck in a rut for years. Competition will get them working harder for those consumer dollars, as we've already seen with TT's Skywalker Saga.
It's very legal. TT is a Warner company. If Lego can't get a deal with them, they will get it with someone else. And Warner of today wants to charge 94$ for a game like this, so I'd rather they find someone else as long as they can still do a good or better job.
Why does Aloy voice sound so bad, like almost like Tiny Tina from borderlands? Is just the one part she sound bad or is the whole game she sound off? I was kinda hoping this be good but after bad reviews. I held off. And if this how they made Aloy sound like whiny kid, where in the both original games, she was smart but a Bad ass. Not too mess with. In this game she sound horrible little kid?
8:40 i think they chose Horizon series for the reason that it brings a new audience to the franchise and might get some kids to play the other horizon games when they grow up
I think more people have watched this video than actually bought this game. The player numbers are incredibly low and it makes me wonder who the target audience for this game was supposed to be. Young kids don't care about this franchise, and anyone else who likes the Horizon games could just play those games again. The original LEGO games worked because they were based on franchises already popular with young kids like Star Wars and Harry Potter.
I just don't understand who this game is made for? (Haven't watched the full video yet so flandrew might go into that). I think if it had followed a different character, and focused on say building a settlement, would have been interesting. But just sort of retelling it doesn't make sense to me
Yeah good point... It could just be Sony self indugnce base on Lego wanting to try to make a Lego wanting to test a video game out of a Video game only IP.
Well, I understand that it might've been more interesting to see an expansion on the horizon world with another character focus instead of retelling it- but in and of itself it's a pretty good game! Just in terms of a Lego horizon game existing though it's pretty clear to see why that mix was developed. There's a good overlap of people who love Horizon and Lego, like me. And there's a younger audience who will definitely get excited to for Lego robot animals and dinosaurs.
It's not. Lego Worlds did this (perhaps some of their titles from the early 2000's as well). TT Games has just never done it, and they had an exclusivity agreement for a long time with Lego.
@@SECONDQUESTi don’t think it was lego who pushed for this but sony. Lego’s core audience is apparently millennials now so they would benefit from older IP
@@RusticRonnie I'm part of that audience and I would benefit greatly. I have the Horizon ideas set and ever since getting it, I have been wanting Lego to do more with the IP. Heck, I plan to buy the Lego game myself so I can study the building and robot designs and try to recreate them (Outside of any set I do intend to buy when Lego releases the Horizon adventure sets).
I mean why reinvent the wheel? Why are all video games not Pong clones? And why wasn't Pong a clone of the first video game? Like while I persoanlt hate lego games that cheap out and use off the rack turain so it's nice to see a TT game colne that has actually lego turain... the restjust seems like a rip off fan made TT game... Like why does the animation have an "anime" look when extremely rarely does anyone get it right and even then universally people hate it. As even in anime the vast majority of the time they try to minimized the choppy low FPS running on a rotten half eaten pato look... Which was does it even have that effect when it's based on an IP that was soly a highend modern cionsole title? It makes no sense and only looks really bad... Also you would think that if Lego wanted a Lego Horizen Dawn video game done in a TT style... That would have just gotten TT games to do it instead of some rando studio not known for making TT game clones... Really weird that this game exists as it does and seems like a Sony wholly made dessction as Lego has nevee done anything like this before... In fact while it must have happened before in the games industry I don't think it did. The closet we got is when mostly a mario game needs to be developed by another dev and the other dev makes it in the style of the IP because that is what everyone wants... In this case it makes no sense as unless TT games is so busy it can't make a game wit 8 hours a content where the most expensive thing is the new IP that does have Lego forms. So all TT needs to do is look at the IRL minifigs and sets, the Lego concpt art and in house CGI models and just trow the game together like they have done before... It would cost much less then getting a rando dev to reinvent the wheel and make a clone having never though of making a TT clone before... Like not does any of this make the game we got bad the price tag does... It does make anyone question why wasn't it an actual TT game?
I still member Horizon Zero Dawn 1st came out and pretty much nobody liked it until 2nd game was announced, than it was the opposite and everyone loved the game. But the sequel i see a lot mixed 2 negative reception 2 it. It is so weird. Big downside is that you need a Playstation account in order 2 play the Lego Horizon Adventures game on Steam. BTW i do have a Playstation account, but not everyone have it.
It's a popular series with a lot of cool robot dinosaurs which is something kids love. You know what kids also love? Lego. I heard the Lego version of the long neck dinosaur sold a lot, so I think Sony and Lego just decided to combine the two to sell even more Lego sets of Horizon.
@@NaiveChicken Tbf the remaster is a 10 dollar upgrade for anyone who owns the game that brings the visuals and features (accessibility and PS5 Haptics) up to par with the sequel. Oo it would be cool to see incredibles vs the lego incredibles idek there was a lego game
Making it top down is lame. 3d lego games are cooler
Oh my god, I didnt even notice first what was wrong... Thanks for saving me money!
@TheGreatTimmy_AT you are welcome. I really dislike that.
@@TheGreatTimmy_AT Not buying a game because of the camera angle is a new one, Its barely even different than other lego games just further away lol
@@whitepaws60 it just adds to the other stuff this Lego game is missing. And yes, I dislike top down games, sorry for that.
No prob I'll play on switch lol 😁
I feel like one of the few who truly enjoys the series, I can’t wait for another game that continues the story of the first two.
Lego jak and daxter would actually be cool
"Make sure you pay $700 to see the LEGO pigs in all their ray-traced, 4K glory"
How about I just buy it on Switch instead? 🤣
Game isn't even ps5 pro enhanced 💀imma use my day 1 ps5 with a disc drive built in
Can’t wait for Lego bloodborne
They went for Horizon Lego over other franchises simply because they see it as the most potential for money as more sequels are likely.
Right? Kids love dinosaurs and robots. Horizon has a bunch of things that can be turned into Lego kits very easily.
@@SECONDQUEST I don't know a single kid who likes horizon
@@RusticRonnieOh boy you'd be so wrong. Lego pushed for this. They're also the ones who chose Studio Gobo over your usual TT.
Cute game based on a PlayStation franchise? That’s just Astro Bot.
Hear me out: Lego MediEvil
Horizon The Best
The next one is "Lego DOOM" 🙂
LETSGOOO
Honestly if it was a lego Nintendo or sonic game it would be way better than this
I mean why reinvent the wheel?
I just finished the Lego game. Great graphics, boring game.
kinda epic
horizon zero fun
realy good game
So tdlr this game is a dumbed down horizon one?? This is kinda a pointless should of made rachet 1 in lego would if made more sense
Cash grab. That’s all it is
I don't think I'll ever understand why they made a Lego Horizon game. What a dumb idea.
Makes more sense than remastering it
It's a popular series with a lot of cool robot dinosaurs which is something kids love.
Nothing wrong with that. If it was 50 dollars for everyone even if you own the game already I'd be mad too but an optional 10 bucks for a MASSIVE visual overhaul isn't too bad.
No other game series feels so much like an industry baby like Horizon
I love the original game but yeah Sony pushes this franchise way too much
But it's a great series with a good story. It's not just an open world with good graphics.
@@etienne1313 It's because Hermen Hulst was the director, and now has a huge boner for the series, he's trying to turn it into Sony's Mario or something... he must think people are dumb; and this is coming from someone that likes the first game quite a bit.
@@etienne1313Pretty sure they do that because it sells a lot. It's funny people act like these huge corporations are doing things just because. Look at how many Sony franchises are dead, do you really think Sony wouldn't drop Horizon in a heartbeat if it wasn't really popular?
I mean, its Sony ofc its a industry baby.
I believe that this is the best LEGO game in quite a while. I do not like many aspects of the LEGO games by tt and this game does not use any of those.
Can I swap out the fug Aloy for the one from the first game?
Hi
I never cared for the original game. The “nature” felt more lifeless than the robots.
Aloy is prettiest in this game, ironically.
Sony is desperately trying to make Horizon the next Uncharted or God of War.... not happening LOL
It might not appeal to you but it's undeniably a sales juggernaut the first game sold 20 million copies
The 2 Horizon games combined have sold nearly 33 million copies with just 2 games, Uncharted has sold a combined 44 million across 5 games... You may not like it but Horizon is a massive franchise right up there with Uncharted, GoW, The last of us etc.
Ther fornite too lol
They really want to you to love the horizon franchise.
Well people actually do. Literally has sold nearly as much as the last of us.
i could personally crae less about both of theese, mainly because the horizon IP never peaked my interest, and hearing people trash on it makes me wanna stay far away, like its the most generic AAA game to AAA game. im good with the skywalker saga.
This is not going to sell well.
Would sell if it were lower than 30$. Nothing against the quality but 79.99 for this is the reason the Skywalker Saga never hit the expected 15million sales to this day
Horizion is such a forced franchise, no one genuinely liles it
Keep telling yourself that as you cry about the 33 million sales across both games
@whitepaws60 I'm not crying. And the majority of those sales are bundled with the console. Its on record some suit at Sony is pushing for the franchise, and it's okay to like it. Just recognize it's not organic
@@RadiganMonke "The majority of those sales are bundled with the console"
Source? I'm guessing you made it up.
Plus even if every single sale was a bundle, That person still bought the bundle with the game they most wanted, Meaning its still a game sale.
@whitepaws60 lol cope all you want buddy
@@RadiganMonke Projection. Buddy you're the one who can't cope with the fact the franchise is popular lmao
